"In a Trial of thine own, sayest thou indeed?" queried Aragorn with a twinkle in his eye, for his young cousin had e'er been one with a penchant for mischief. "Then we shall see this Trial of thine and judge it ere thou depart our City, kinsman!" laughed he, and clapped Doren on the back, taking him over to the ale table for their first mug.

E'vesash nodded with a smile to the others and allowed herself to be lead away by Legolas. She heard his question and pondered it for a moment, trying to recall having ever seen the man before. "I do not believe that I do know him....I don't think I've ever seen him before." Her brow furrowed for a moment longer as she thought, but she could recall nothing and shook her head. Legolas smiled, nodding in understanding... "Perhaps lord Doren is simply mistaken then, taking you for one of similar appearance... However, it matters not, let us be gone and be prepared, for we have little time left."WIth that Legolas led her to her rooms, and left to his own quarters to be dressed and then back to the wedding. When he did arrive, he was dressed in a long garb of light blue, hanging to the ground, seeming to pull him towards the earth. His head was crowned in a circlet of gold, turned and modled into elegant, but simple strands... Such was his manner of appearance when he came back to the great pavilion. It was filling quickly, with many guests, and Legolas even had the pleasure of welcoming those of his kin willing to make the journey from Mirkwood. THere also he met Gimli the dwarf, but after the time of greetings, he took his place beside the altar, for they now waited only for the coming of his bride...

Aragorn, still clad in his finest robes and mithril armour of coronation, strode past Legolas to take his place before the assembly. He patted Legolas upon the back as he walked by, for though difficult for others to spy would it have been, Aragorn saw that his comrade was rather nervous. He made Legolas chuckle, asking him if he had remembered the ring.

Legolas looked up in horror... His face paled slowly, and his hand shook as he tried to remember where he had put it...
Gimli looked up grinning, pulling out a gold ring, set with a large emerald, glittering in a brilliant light. Gimli handed it to Legolas, whispering to him, "You didn't forget that you asked me to bring it did you? Calm yourself down lad..."
A look of relief shot across his face as Legolas smiled at Gimli, taking the ring, shaking his hand viguorously. "Many thanks Gimli..."

E'vesash was soon ready for the ceremony as well. As she left her small room, she was dressed in a long gown of white which was accented throughout with small hints of green. Her dark hair was swept up, allowing a few whispy curls to fall down, framing her face.
As she made her way toward the pavillion she heard a soft elvish music begin to play. Evy felt the butterflies rise in her stomach, and she clasped her flowers tightly to keep her hands from shaking noticably.
A smile formed upon her face as she saw Legolas waiting for her near the altar...and she made her way toward him. Soon this would all be finished, and she would be glad...

A smile crept across his face as Legolas spied E'vesash from afar. His eyes had become keen to distinguishing her face and distinct walk, for how could one who knew another so well fail to recognize them at once?
She was truly beautiful, wearing a stunning dress of pure white that seemed to contrast with her dark hair and piercing eyes. She was the queen of his life, and surely she looked more than the part now, dressed in her magnificent garb.
E'vesash made her way toward the altar slowly, taking graceful steps until she stood opposite Legolas. Legolas put out his hand, and felt Evy set hers on his own. Such was their manner as they knelt before the altar, waiting for Aragorn to begin the wedding...

Arwen clad in her beautifull purple dress stood with the other guests and waited excited for the ceremony. Everybody grinned when Legolas was searching anxious for the ring and cheered when Gimli presented it to him. And than Evy came in and all ghasped before her beauty and cheered to her.

Aragorn stood across the altar as the noontide sun glanced athwart the polished stone, and he took from off its surface a pure leaf of the White Tree, silver in its sheen, and passed it over the heads of E'vesash and of Legolas. Aragorn set his hand beneath their twain, and spake thusly unto E'vesash:
"Lady E'vesash, in honour thou hast come this gladsome day with love in thine heart, for to wed with the Lord Legolas. Thou shalt take thine oath that the bond of marriage is entered into freely by thy word; that thou shalt swear to love Legolas thy whole life, and no other; that thou will honour him and cherish him until all of Arda shall end, or until death shall sunder thee. Thou wouldst swear it?"

E'vesash glanced toward Aragorn for a brief moment and gave a single nod before returning her attention toward Legolas. "Yes, I do." She said simply. Was it not obvious? Her smile broadened at the thought, and she waited for everything to continue.

Aragorn smiled, and upon her forehead he sprinkled light droplets of water from the sacred basin upon the altar. Then he turned to Legolas, and to him spake thus:
"Lord Legolas, in honour thou also hast come this gladsome day with love in thine heart, for to wed with the Lady E'vesash. Thou shalt take thine oath that the bond of marriage is entered into freely by thy word; that thou shalt swear to love E'vesash thy whole life, and no other; that thou will honour her and cherish her until all of Arda shall end, or until death shall sunder thee. Thou wouldst swear it?"

(I think you mean, her)
Legolas lifted up his eyes, nodding simply before speaking the words, "I will..."

"Then before all of Middle-earth I declare these twain as one in the eyes of Eru, and may their years e'er be blessed with love and understanding, devotion eternal."
He sprinkled holy water upon Legolas' head as he spoke, and then wrapped the cloth of matrimony about their joined hands and stood them up.
"Ye have pledge thy good faith this day, and forever shall it be rewarded. Thou hast my blessing, and the good will of all Free Folk. Now, face thy comrades as husband and wife!"
He took from them the band and turned them about, and declared thus:
"Legolas and E'vesash, good friends! May their days be forever marked by happiness! Legolas, thou mayest kiss thy new wife now!"
And as the new couple began to blush in happiness, and Legolas leaned toward his bride, the crowd erupted in applause, and the courts of Minas Tirith rang with praise.

Legolas held her with his lips long, pleased beyond measure, joyful beyond what any person should be allowed... They were one, forever, united for what must pass with time to see both the good and the bad without bending... It was a happiness that he was sure Evy felt also, as they stood, listening to the applause of the crowd.
After what seemed like forever, Legolas released Evy from his kiss, holding her gaze long with his eyes before speaking. "E'vesash Tasolda, you are my life, my love and my joy forever..."

A smile blossomed upon Evy's lips as Aragorn spoke his final statements. Her gaze locked with Legolas' as he loosed his grip upon her, and she laughed to release some of her happiness that could be expressed in no other way. "And the same to you.." she said, "but it is no longer 'Tasolda.'" E'vesash tilted her head as she smiled toward the crowd...waiting for their applause to end. Finally, she turned toward Aragorn and gave a nod. "Thank you." She said softly to him.

Legolas smiled, more joyous upon that occasion than any other in all his days. It was the fruit of their love, bound now for eternity, never to be destroyed. "Yes, tis as you say, for such was your name of old."
