The preparations for the wedding were being set in motion. In only days, the time looked for by them both would arrive. Already, the city was bustling as many shopkeepers and businessmen were being asked for their services in the process. Many were sent forth as messengers to Middle-Earth, sending forth invitations for the event.
Three days remained until it would begin. Only three days for all things to be set in motion.
Legolas himself was overseeing much of the work, directing the goings on, preparing himself for the time to come. The tedious process began to speed up though, and at the close of the first day of work, much had been accomplished.
In the days to come, the great pavillion would soon be erected upon the very spire of the city, overlooking the plains, commanding the view of the land. Everything was perfect...

It was on the eve of the third day...the eve of the wedding, that E'vesash was found wandering about, making sure that all the preparations were complete and as near perfect as they could possibly be. She did not realize how wearying all of the work was...and weary she was, though she said nothing of it.
E'vesash laughed politely as passerbys stopped to share some joke or story with her, but she never paused over long to take up a conversation, unless she felt she needed too. The maiden combed a hand through her dark hair and looked about, letting out a slightly exasperated sigh...she needed to find Legolas. She needed to discuss with him the final things that needed to be done.

Legolas ambled about the great pavilion erected for the occasion, taking a seat before the altar. It seemed hard to believe that after so many years everything was coming together all at once. In only a few hours, the new day would come, and all would be accomplished that he had hoped, and yearned for.
He had always wished that it would be as he now found it, but there was a certain dread he felt as well. Not of what was to come, but only...that he might not be adequate to what he was putting himself towards. Perhaps it was nothing but nature, a fear of change, a fear of responsibility. It would be something to overcome with time, and something to grow to love...

E'vesash wandered about for a bit longer before she finally came upon Legolas' form sitting quietly beneath the pavillion and before the altar. She paused outside for a moment, simply content to watch him without her presence being known. But then she stepped forward, approaching him carefully. "Legolas," she said softly when she finally reached his side, "I need you help on a few matters." Evy paused, looking down at him...noting that he seemed a bit far away. "Are you alright?"

Legolas looked up in surprise to see Evy beside him, her tall and stately form casting a dull shadow over his face.
"Yes...I...believe so..."
Legolas' gaze turned down again though, as if he felt a sudden tension arising from within. He desired to be with her more than anything, and yet...he couldn't help sense a dread in his heart, that perhaps he would place her in a danger, not apparent now, but present if they were wed.
Legolas once again turned his eyes toward her though, probing her gaze for the answer to his feelings.
"Evy...what do you feel?"

E'vesash tilted her head curiously as she looked down at him, meeting his gaze boldly yet with a gentle smile. "What do I feel?" She paused for a moment before she moved and sat upon the floor at his feet, reaching up and placing her hands in his. "I feel love for you that I have felt for none other...and I also feel a joy that I have never known." She looked up at him, her emerald gaze never leaving his own if even for a second.

Legolas smiled. The simplicity of her expression of her love gave him a strong hope, and llifted his spirits greatly.
"I appreciate your love Evy...I truly do, for I feel likewise. You are like the dew of the morning refreshing me, and I have never felt as such before.
It's as though the spring has parted the clouds covering the frost of my heart, and I have you to thank for that..."

E'vesash watched him curiously and intently. "Then you are truly alright?" She asked, never moving from the place at his feet as she awaited his answer. She hoped there was nothing dampening his spirits...especially nothing she'd done. She stroked the back of his hand with her thumb lightly, her eyes never leaving his face.

Legolas smiled, nodding as he ran his hand against her cheek, running his hand gently across her neck.
"I am indeed... When we are together, nothing could ever make me happier..."
There was truly something about her presence that always arose his hope, and seemed to rekindle a strength unknown to him before. It was strange indeed...but in other ways, it felt as something he had been born to know...

E'vesash smiled. "Then I am glad I have come to you...for you looked as if your spirits needed a bit of lifting up." She rested one hand lightly atop his as it came to her neck, and she supported herself with the other by placing it on the floor next to her. The skirt of the soft green gown she wore was spread about her in a circle where she sat, making it seem as if she were a part of the scenery.

Legolas looked up behind her, observing the altar, the place at which their union would take place, joining them forever. A bond that would never be severed...
"Can you believe it Evy... Tomorrow... Only one day seperates us now..."

E'vesash nodded, then paused with a smile. "Not even a whole day, my love." She followed his gaze back over her shoulder. "I can scarce believe it myself. After all this time...and now it is finally here..." She turned back to him, placing her hands in her lap as she waited for him to speak...for she did not know what to say.

Legolas smiled, taking her hands in his own, holding them firmly, setting a gentle kiss on each.
"But...I can only come tomorrow, if you give me the pleasure of the first dance..."

E'vesash laughed softly, her emerald eyes sparkling as she did. "To whom else would I give it?" She returned his smile. "Lord Aragorn has his own bride to dance with, if that is the worst of your fears."

Legolas chuckled quietly, glancing up towards Evy, "Perhaps that would be a worthy fear, after all, the queen of Gondor has yet to match your beauty..."
