Vilik grinned as Idrial glanced back at him and he kissed her lips lightly as she finished speaking. "Well, you haven't heard me complain about your 'tendencies' lately. Have you?" He gave her a warm smile before glancing back out across the ocean. As he stood there watching the horizon he found himself wishing the trip to Grod Nuru would take a bit longer than usual.

"No, I'll give you credit there," Idrial replied with a smile. After a few more moments of gazing out across the water, she turned about to face Vilik. Her eyes met with his, and for a while she just watched him, still unable to believe that all of this was real. Finally, she stepped forward and rested her head upon his shoulder, fitting herself neatly against him. "Yes...I do think you are right about coming to love the sea," she said...a bit of jest in her voice.

Vilik smiled as Idrial turned towards him, locking eyes with her as she watched him. He grinned at her comment. "Of course I'm right, when have I ever been wrong?" He retorted with the same tone she had used. He watched her for a moment longer, starring down into her eyes. "And I think I was right to bring you along on this little voyage as well."

Idrial grinned briefly before placing a look of mock rebuke onto her features. "My aren't you just full of yourself." She shook her head. Seeming to ponder something for a moment, she spoke. "Now, let's see. I believe you were wrong when you jested about my fishing skills...and I believe you were wrong when you let me stick you with a dagger. And then there is when you beat me at poker." Idrial grinned. "But, bringing me on board," she paused and kissed him lightly, "was definitely a right decision." The maiden leaned back and offered a wink.

Vilik raised his brows in suprise, "Let you stick me?! ...." He grinned, "And you can hardly put the blame on me that you're a terrible poker player...." He winked back to let her know he was kidding. He leaned forward as he added before returning her kiss, "But, at least we both agree it was a good idea to bring you along." He let the kiss linger for a while and then withdrew, starring off at the horizon as he held her close.

Idrial turned and leaned back against him, once more turning her attention toward the horizon and the waters. "What is Grod Nuru like?" She finally asked, breaking the silence. "I have never been there." If they were to arrive not too long from now, she'd best know a bit about the place. It would do no good to be caught completely off guard.

Vilik thought for a moment and then began to describe the place for her. "Well, it's not much of a place. Just a tiny spit of land with a good secluded harbor. Its full of scanty houses and taverns. The men there are mostly thieves, pirates and oucasts from all over, some of the worst type you'll ever meet... besides me of course." Vilik smirked, "Just watch your back and keep your dagger handy. Of course, being the scallywag you've become, you might just like the place." He grinned and winked at her with his last comment.

Idrial laughed softly at his last statement and folded her arms. "A scallywag am I?" She grinned and took a step forward before turning about to face him. "In that case, you'd better watch your back, don't you think?" She tilted her head jokingly and raised a brow. "I mean, you never know when you might find yourself on the recieving end of one of my 'accidents'."

Vilik returned the grin and crossed his arms, looking down at her through squinted eyes. "And just what makes you think I'm NOT watching my back for one of your 'accidents'? Trust me, I've not taken my eyes off you sense we met." He smiled, meaning the last bit as a compliment.

Idrial watched him curiously. "Oh, is that so?" She gave a slight sigh of relief, "Then I'll be counting on you to keep me from harm when we arrive at Grod Nuru...especially since you seem to be looking out for the both of us." She winked. "And we both know that I'm lacking in the area of keeping myself safe." Idrial gave a brief laugh and brushed her fingers over the light, but lingering, scar on her temple.

Vilik looked down at his bloodied bandages and shook his head. "I'll keep my eye out alright, but perhaps you could try to stay out of trouble this time. I enjoy bleeding and all, but even I need a break from it every now and then." He then reached up and brushed the scar she had touched. "How is that wound comming? Still having headaches?"

Idrial glanced upward toward him as his fingers touched the scar, but she put a smile on her face and shook her head. "No...not really," she finally said. Her eyes wandered down to his wound. "Besides...my scar pales in comparison to that." She looked up again with a bit of sympathy on her face. "Especially since it's my fault." Her face fell slightly, but she quickly changed her expression.

Vilik looked at her and smiled, starting to say somthing when in the corner of his eye he caught a glimpse of land on the horizon. His head shot up and he nodded, "There it is, I hope you're ready." He stood and stretched his arms, yawning as he did so. "I should go below and gather my weapons, there are sure to be pirates around."

Idrial cleared her throat as the subject quickly changed. Glancing toward the land, Idrial pushed her hair back from her face and nodded. "Great," she said simply. "You can bring mine up as well, if you can." She grinned slightly as she added that last little bit and moved toward the railing. Resting her hands upon it, she squinted slightly to get a better view.

Vilik nodded then disappeared below deck. He returned a vew moments later fully dressed and with his sword at his side. He placed Idrial's daggers on the rail next to her. "Your daggers... as sharp as ever." He grinned, "Now, are you just going to sit there or are you going to take this boat into port?"
