Idrial laughed softly as she watched him. "You were explaining to me how I'd fallen in a hole, and I'd fallen off your ship. Then you asked me what I would fall in next." She smiled, comforted by his embrace. "The answer is love."

Vilik laughed as she explained the answer to him. "Well, I hope this 'fall' feels a little better than the others." He smiled down at her then kissed her gently on the lips. "Its good to know I'm not the only one..."

Idrial smiled, "Yes, it does indeed." Her eyes closed as their lips met, but when he pulled back she looked up at him. "Though," she added with a smirk, "I must admit that my fall into the water was quite refreshing...even if it was a bit cold." Idrial felt as though a weight had been taken off her shoulders, and she watched him with an honest smile.

Vilik laughed, softly though not to aggrevate his wounded abdomen. "Is that so? From where I was sitting it didn't look so much like a 'refreshing' look on your face." He grinned with a sly look, "I won't say you looked bad when you came out though, feel free to go jumping overboard anytime I'm around to watch."

Idrial leaned back to look at him, a mock expression of rebuke on her features. "I can see I'll have to be more careful what I do, from now on." She laughed. "Maybe I should take advantage of your wound and use it as an opportunity to be able to push you into the water."

Vilik gave a faked look of suprise, "You wouldn't..., well, you have had it out for me since the day we met, I'll keep an eye on you if I get close to the railing..." He winked at her and pulled her back close for another quick kiss. After he pulled back he looked at her with a more serious look. "We could set sail now, I could guide you though everything and you could sail us out of here. What do you say?"

Idrial smiled at his words, hold back a laugh at the sarcastic edge to them. But she glanced at him hesitantly as he suggested that she sail them out of the docks. "Are...are you sure you want me to do that?" She folded her arms, not knowing whether she was capable or not. But apparantly she was or he wouldn't have suggested it.

Vilik grinned, "I think you'll do just fine, you seem to be a talented girl thus far." He smiled and stood, holding onto his side as he did so. "And don't worry, if you damage the boat a little its no big deal. I got her at a really great price." He smiled and waited for her to lead the way above deck.

Idrial laughed at his first statement and rose from the bed as well, pulling her hair back over her shoulders. As she moved toward the door she glanced back, hearing his last few comments about damaging the boat. "Oh...I'm so glad you have such confidence in me." She said sarcastically, then laughed. After she'd climbed back up onto the deck, she looked around. It was a good thing Vilik was here as a guide...for she had absolutely no idea what to do or where to start.

Vilik walked over to the mainsail and looped a line through a pulley, "Here, give me a hand hoisting this," When that was accomplished he moved on and showed her how to set the jib and make everything ready. He loosened the dock lines before having her pull the sails tight and then in an instant the boat was heading off into to the cluster of other vessels comming and going in and out of the harbor. "Now the work is done, all you have to do is avoid hitting anything..., like that.." he remarked as they headed straight for a fishing boat.

At first, Idrial was worried that she would do something wrong, but as she gently steered the boat away from the smaller fishing craft, she relaxed. She watched as Vilik showed her how to keep the boat on a steady course. "Well, I suppose that wasn't too difficult," she said with a small smile as she folded her arms and looked out across the water. Idrial was almost glad they were away from the land again. She liked being able to be out on the water.

Vilik smiled, "Not difficult at all, just like I said." He watched as she folded her arms, letting the wheel go. With a smirk he pointed off ahead to some rippling water, "But, you might not want to let go of the wheel just yet..., unless you want to ground us on that shoal." He pointed out ahead and guided her around and free of the shallow waters near the coast. "Now, if you're still interested in Grod Nuru turn her strait into the sun."

Idrial followed Vilik's instructions, and turned the vessel toward the sun...toward Grod Nuru. Once they were far enough away from land, she glanced toward Vilik and let go of the wheel. After she made sure that the ship would stay on a steady course, she leaned back against the railing. Then, remembering their earlier conversation about someone being pushed over the edge, she moved quickly away from the railing and once more folded her arms. "I believe that concludes the first mate's lessons on running a ship." She said with a laugh. "At least for now."

"Nervous?" He lauged as she stepped away from the edge. "Yes, you did just fine for your first lesson." He walked over to the edge himself and looked out into the water, "Now, how about you give me another one of your 'fishing' lessons. Only this time why don't we keep the catch and make a nice meal of it?"

Idrial laughed at his last statement and moved up beside him along the edge, following his gaze down to the water. "A fishing lesson, eh?" She grinned and slipped her hand into the crook of his arm. "Only so long as the end result is not me landing in the cold water with a splash." She glanced up at him. "Nervous? Me?" She replied to his earlier question. "I suppose I'm just worried that you'll push me in merely for your amusement."
