Vilik's hands fell to his side as Idrial pulled away from him, somthing she hadn't done before. He looked at her in suprise and confussion as she once again turned her attention back straightening things. He didn't know what was wrong, but thought perhaps he'd offened her somehow. He stood where he was for a moment longer before starting slowly for the door. "Well, I think I'll be in your way here, I'll go to the galley 'till you finish up..."

Idrial nodded at his words, glancing toward him as he moved toward the door. "Alright," she said simply. Once he was gone, she dropped the rag with which she'd been cleaning and folded her arms. Her eyes wandered toward the window as she moved and sat down on the bed. Idrial turned and laid herself down. After burying her face in her pillow...she wept. Everything had gone wrong. Hador had found her, Vilik had gotten hurt because of her...and now Hador was dead. Not that that wasn't a bad thing - but surely the other guards would come after Vilik now. Once the Lord Aragorn learned of the incident he would be none too happy indeed. And it was her fault.

Vilik poured some water into a glass and sat down. He took a few sips, fighing the urge to cough it up as it went down. He sat thinking of what their next move should be and after a few moments he hear a faint, muffled sobbing comming from the bedroom. He walked back into the room to see what was the matter and found Idrial laying face down on the bed with her face burried in the pillow. He sat down next to her and rubbed his hand across her back gently. "Idrial, whats wrong?"

Idrial had not been prepared for Vilik's sudden reentrance into the bedroom. Quickly, she sat up, wiping away her tears with the back of her hand. Drawing in a ragged breath, she smoothed out the skirt of her garment, needing something to occupy her hands. "Nothing...I'm fine." Finally, Idrial stopped and bowed her head as the tears began to fall again. Her hands rested limply on her lap as she tried to control her sobs.

Vilik put his arms around her and pulled her head under his chin. "Then why is it I find you here sobbing?" He was quiet for a moment, wainting for her to answer.

Idrial's form trembled as he pulled her close. "I - I don't know..." She managed between breaths. "Everything is...going wrong." She rested herself against him as she swallowed, struggling to regain control over herself. No one was supposed to see her like this. Idrial felt like a small child. She wasn't supposed to cry.

"Its ok Idrial, everything will be fine." He held on to her and tried to think of what to say. "I don't think we'll have any more trouble from the soldiers. Hador was alone when I confronted him."

Idrial relaxed slightly against him, somewhat comforted by his words. She reached up and wiped away what wetness she could from her cheeks as they sat. "This wasn't supposed to happen." Idrial whispered as she finished drying her eyes. "You weren't supposed to see me like this..."

Vilik shook his head and smiled, "Well, I didn't want you seeing me unable to stand after a fight either, but it happened. You have nothing to be ashamed of, Idrial." He hugged her and sighed, "You don't have act so tuff around me you know."

"I know, but..." Idrial shifted, finding a more comfortable position. "But, I don't want you to change your mind about me." She cast her gaze to the ground, briefly reaching up to swipe a strand of hair behind her ear. The woman bit her lip as she awaited his reaction. "I - I don't want this incident with Hador..." she let her sentence trail off, not exactly sure what she had intended to say.

Vilik smiled and tilted Idrial's chin up so he could look into her eyes. "Idrial, I love you. My mind is not going to change on that so easily." He leaned forward and kissed her forehead. "Forget about Hador, all of that is over now."

Finally allowing a smile to show briefly on her lips, Idrial slipped her arms up about his neck. She hugged him for a moment before leaning back to look at him. "Thank you," was all she could think to say. Idrial relaxed once more, resting her head upon his shoulder. She could scarcely believe that Hador was gone...but it was true.

Vilik smiled and relaxed, glad to see a smile back on Idrial's lips. "You're welcome," he replied to her, still holding her close. "So, now that you've got no one to hide from, is there anywhere in Gondor you'd like to visit? Your home maybe?"

Idrial sighed and her brow furrowed slightly as she thought over his words. Finally, she shook her head slowly. "Nay...I think I want to leave this place for a time. Perhaps, we can come back later. But I am not ready." The maiden fell silent for a while, closing her eyes as she rested against him. She smiled again as a thought entered her head. "By the way, the answer is love," Idrial said, looking up at him as she remembered something he'd asked a while back.

Vilik nodded, "I should be well enough to set sail in a few days, we'll just have to stay docked here till then." He caught her smile as she looked up at him and gave her answer, "Love? Sounds like a good answer, but forgive me if I've forgotten the question. Remind me?""
