Vilik moved his hand to her back and then to her shoulder, "Hmm, I might get a good laugh out of seeing you go over again." He turned to face her and grinned, "But, I think I could settle for just the lesson and meal this time."

Idrial laughed and stiffened a bit as he placed his hand on her back, worried that he might actually go through with it and push her into the water. But as he continued speaking, she relaxed. With a brief nod, she fetched the pole and climbed up onto the railing...making sure to keep a wary eye on Vilik as she did so. "Alright," she said with a smile, casting the line out into the water, "the main thing is that certain fish are attracted to certain...patterns and movements that you make with the line." As Idrial drew the line slowly back their way, she showed Vilik what she meant. "If you get just the right movements..." Her sentence was cut short as there was a bite on her line, quickly she pulled it in and found herself looking down at a fish. "Wow...I've never had a bite so quickly." She glanced toward Vilik with a grin.

Vilik gave her a suprised look, "I'm impressed, m'lady, a fine fish it is." He winked as he grabbed the line and removed the fish, not wanting her to throw it back to the sea as she'd done the last time. He tossed it aside into an empty bucket where it flopped around making quite a ruckuss. "Now, lets see you do that one more time."

Idrial grinned at his words and cocked her head playfully. "Certainly you know how to fish yourself...being a pirate and all." She lowered the line back into the water. "But since you seem to have such a desire to see my expertise skills, I suppose I could have another go." She laughed, and settled in to wait. It was a while longer this time before she finally procured a fish. But catch one she did and she tossed it into the bucket as well. "How's that?" She asked, glancing back toward him with a smile.

Vilik laughed, "Well, its possible that I may know a little about catching fish, but, I do get a kick out of your little 'lessons'" He smiled and pulled his knife out, examining the sharpness of the blade. "So, you gonna show me how to clean them as well? Or, will I have to figure that out on my own?"

Idrial smirked and slid down from atop the railing. "You, sir, can clean the fish yourself." She feigned a weary expression. "Especially since I did all the work of catching them." A smile formed upon her lips once more, and she seated herself on the deck, leaning back against the railing.

"'Work...,'" he laughed and turned to the bucket of fish. With a few strokes of his blade he fillet the two fish and removed the skin, leaving four boneless strips of meat. He tossed the bucket of scrap into the water and rinsed the fillets before taking them down to the galley. From below he called up to Idrial, "Are you gonna make me cook these thing too? Or do you want you meal edible?"

Idrial laughed at Vilik's words from down below and pushed herself up from the deck. Walking down below she looked over the fish. "I suppose I could cook them." She glanced toward him with a grin. "You're right...I would like my meal edible." It wasn't long before she had the fish sizzling and she scooped it from the rack above the coals onto a plate. Handing it to Vilik she gave a satisfied nod. "I believe that does like fine indeed."

Vilik looked down at the plate and smiled, "It looks good, thanks." He picked up a fork and took a bite. "Hmm, not bad." He stood and walked over to a keg of ale that had been stowed onto the boat in Pelagir. He poured two cups and offered one to Idrial.

Idrial slid into a seat, taking the cup that was offered to her. "Thank you." She sipped from the cup before placing it down on the table. She waited until Vilik was seated once more before she began to eat her meal. It was indeed good, though not neccissarily the best she'd ever had. "I'm glad you caught these before I threw them back in." Idrial said, finishing off the last of what was on her plate. Pushing it forward she leaned back slightly in her chair. "I believe that is enough for me, though."

Vilik chewed and ate his meal slowly. He was hungry, but because of his wound it was hard for him to eat and keep the food down. When he finished he leaned back in his chair and put his hands behind his head. "So, now that dinner is done and we are under sail it would seem we have some more time to be lazy. Any suggestions on how we pass the time?"

Idrial stood from her chair and cleared the plates from the table, setting them off to the side to be washed later. "Forgive me if I can't think of any off the top of my head." She said with a grin as she brushed any crumbs from the table and onto one of the dishes.

Vilik frowned, "Well, I would hope you can come up with some sort of entertainment. Or is your plan to slowly bore me to death." He laughed and smiled as he stood and walked over to a drawer. He pulled out a deck of card and looked back to Idrial. "A game to pass the time?"

Idrial glanced up as he procured a deck of cards...from where she would probably never know. With a grin, she gave a brief nod and seated herself back at the table. "I think that sounds like an interesting idea." She rested her elbows upon the tabletop. "But be prepared to lose." Idrial said with a wink as she crossed her legs and rested her chin atop her fists.

A grin curled on Vilik's face at her words. He began shuffling the deck and smirked, "Oh really? Fancy yourself as a card shark do you?" He finished shuffling and laid the deck on the table between them. "Ok, big talker. I'll let you name the game..., and the price. What'll it be?"
