[Legolas]

Legolas smiled, leaning over to kiss her soft lips. "I'm always here for you Evy... Nothing can change that..."

[E'vesash]

E'vesash smiled, reassured by Legolas' words. She slipped her arms about his neck for a moment as she returned his kiss, then she leaned back to view him. "What would I do without you?" She asked, whispering with a grin.

[Legolas]

Legolas gave her a blank expression, as if contemplating the question. "I am sure you would simply die of frustration or fall into the despair of knowing that there was no one to watch your every move..."

[E'vesash]

E'vesash laughed softly at Legolas' words. "My every move, eh?" She asked as she adjusted herself so that she was seated securely next to him.

[Legolas]

Legolas nodded. "It's my duty is it not? To make sure you stay out of trouble, correct?"

[E'vesash]

E'vesash gave a slight nod as she grinned. She sighed softly and pulled her feet up onto the couch next to her as she leaned her head lightly against his shoulder. "Yes, I suppose so." She placed her hand on his arm as she sat there, breathing in the fresh breeze that was coming in through the balcony.

[Legolas]

Legolas smiled as he felt her leaning against him. It was reassuring to have her there beside him...there as they simply enjoyed each other's company. This was what his life was about. She was everything to him... Nothing else could ever replace her...

"Evy...have you ever seen Mordor..."

[E'vesash]

E'vesash glanced up at him, a curious expression on her face as he asked his question. "From afar...but never from within." She paused, thinking a moment. "Why?"

[Legolas]

Legolas seemed to take no notice of her searching eyes, but simply asked another question. "You don't think it is likely that evil dwells there stil...do you?"

[E'vesash]

Evy's brow furrowed as she listened to him speak. "I do not know. Why do ask me this?" She wrapped her arms about his, looking up at him as she awaited an answer.

[Legolas]

Legolas shook his head, slowly turning his gaze down towards her. "I fear Evy... I fear now what might happen if...if a power still lurks there. What if..."

[E'vesash]

E'vesash watched him with a somber expression, thinking as he spoke. But finally she reached up, placing her slender fingers over his lips gently to silence his worry filled words. Her emerald eyes searched his own as she met his gaze boldly. "For the moment, I care not what stirs in Mordor. I only care for the one who is beside me." A soft smile formed upon her lips. "It will do us no good to worry now...it will only spoil our time together."

[Legolas]

Legolas forced a smile, nodding in understanding. She was wise indeed...a counselor for him, someone to guide him in his times of doubt. Though he had thought himself to be her protector, she had become the voice that led him when he was in confusion.

"Yes...yes it is so. And I say Evy, that though I consider what might be, I also consider what is now...and what is now is the joy I find..."

[E'vesash]

E'vesash smiled up at him, her emerald eyes lighting up for the first time in a while. She let her hand rise to the side of his face, and she let her fingers rest there gently. "I have also found that joy." She then let her hands come to rest upon his chest. "And that joy is you..." Her lips met his briefly before she pulled back to look at him, much happiness in her eyes.

[Legolas]

Legolas felt a brief moment of relaxation while held by her lips and his smile was all he showed as he watched her in silence. She was like a god before him...an image of perfection and something to be respected... And yet at the same time she was his equal...that which balanced him in all things...
