Legolas looked up in surprise to find Aragorn already approaching and knocking at their door. He quickly led Alatariel towards him and hailed while still a good distance away.
"Aragorn, many thanks for coming so quickly and on such urgentn business..."

"Certainly, and by all means, good my friend," answered Aragorn, somewhat anxious at the tone of Legolas' voice. "How may I aid thee this day?"

"It is my wife Aragorn... I know not what power you have been bestowed with, rather to what extent. But you see, images flicker in her mind...images of evil, darkness and malice. I have no power over such things, but I ask now if you know of some thing that might aid in ridding her mind of this evil..."

Alatariel was startled by Legolas' words, but did not let it show upon her face. True, she had horrid images inside of her mind...probably worse than those of E'vesash...but she had hardened herself to them. "Nay," she whispered to Legolas as she reached out to touch his arm, "I am fine now. As I said...the fresh air did me good. I think I will be alright." She did not want the lord Envinyatar having anything to do with her mind. It was too dangerous.

Legolas looked at her with slight confusion. "You're sure Evy?" When he left the fear had driven her to utter fright and now she was fine.

Alatariel sighed and nodded, biting her lip to appear as though she were weighing the options. "Yes...I am fine." She glanced toward Envinyatar...wishing him haste in his departure. She placed a brief kiss upon Legolas' lips before moving toward the door. "Though I am quite hungry."

Legolas smiled, glad to see Evy back to her former joy. "Well Aragorn, my pardon, but I do believe she is fine. THank you for coming though."
After a final farewell, Legolas and Alatariel entered the home. The peace filling Legolas' mind was not at all as it would have been, were he to know the true state of his wife, or the state of his own being...

Alatariel entered the dwelling place and made a quick scan of it, making sure she knew where everything was. There could be no error, or Legolas would find her out immediatly. The dark lady moved into the kitchen and went through a few cupboards, finally closing them...deciding her appetite had gone. "Can I fix you something, Love?"

Legolas glanced towards the kitchen as he sat down on the soft couch that occupied a large portion of the sitting area.
"No Evy...I am fine, but if you desire something do not wait for me to be hungry."
Legolas was content for once that day. The city was still in much confusion over the assault against their walls, but the greatest blow had been from his wife. To know that she was afflicted at any time pained him, but now that she was at peace he too could rest...

Alatariel closed the cupboard through which she had been sifting, glancing back toward Legolas with one of Evy's smiles. "Nay, I am fine as well." The elvish woman returned to the central living area and drew herself into a chair across from Legolas. After a few moments of silence she glanced up at him. "Where is the Lord Aragorn off to so quickly? He certainly seemed in a rush to leave."

Aragorn turned with a bow after saying but little when E'vesash seemed to be well again, though he marveled that such a change would come so quickly when she seemed by Legolas' words to be so distraught. Perhaps there was somewhat amiss, he thought, but soon dismissed the notion as he calmly strode back to his home.

Legolas looked at her in surprise. "True, but as the lord of the city and the land he is bound to perform his duty as it calls. I asked him to intercede for you, and so he answered with all speed. It is only likely that he is accoplishing another task in a like manner."

Alatariel nodded her head slowly, somewhat disappointed by the answer. She had hoped to uncover something...but it seemed for the moment that it would not be so. "He certainly does like to travel," she ventured. "He always seems to be off on one quest or another. Is that what he's doing now?" She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, watching Legolas with a soft smile that belonged to E'vesash. It felt foreign on her lips.

Legolas nodded, returning her smile with his own as he leaned back in the soft backing of the couch.
"Indeed. If what the little I have heard is true, then I am not wrong in believing he will soon be sending troops to the north, or going there himself. For it was spoken to me that some group of the dwarves has began to stir up trouble in one way or another."

Alatariel nodded thoughtfully. "Ah, I see." She leaned her head back against the backing of the chair, before rising. She hesitated a moment, but soon found herself seated next to Legolas on the couch. She glanced up at him for a moment before looking away, as she too contented herself to sink into the soft cusions.
