E'vesash bit her lip as she weighed the options in her mind. Would she be willing to endure such sleeplessness in order to appear strong? Perhaps not. Perhaps this was one time when she would have to live with her weakness and let it be known to another. She looked down at Legolas, seeing the concern in his eyes...and it was her undoing. Of course he would do nothing to harm her. "If this is what you believe to be right...than I can do naught but trust you."

Legolas nodded, taking her by the hand. "I will go and seek Envinyatar and ask him to come here. I will return shortly my love...have faith..."
With that Legolas left her alone, taking once more to the streets of the city, going in search of the lord.

E'vesash nodded slowly as well, understanding his words. She knew it would be a while before he returned, so she laid herself down once more upon the softness of the bed. "Hurry back." She whispered, even though none could hear her now. She sighed, if she could not sleep, at least she could rest her eyes. Evy allowed her eyes to close...and, after a while of the gentle breeze and calmness in the air, slipped unintentionally into slumber. It was as she had feared, and her dreams pained her. If only they would let her wake up, but their images gripped her mind. Why were they just now beginning to effect her...why had there been none of this the rest of her life while she had traveled throughout Middle Earth, seeing many worse scenes than these.

A tall man was hidden by the shadows of the narrow streets of the great city. Gold armor covered his chest and he was decked in the ornamental garb of the Haradhrim. His face was fully visible where he stood and he made no effort to conceal it. He stood across from a great door that was placed in the middle of an empty streeet.
He moved silently across the cobblestone walk, pushing lightly against the door. It opened with a slight creak and he entered the room without a sound. Slowly, the door swung to, closing once more with a dull thud.
Dorfanen's heavy boots gave off a muffled sound as he walked across the tiled entry of the ornate home. A balcony overlooked the city and was kept off from the rest of the home by nothing more than thin curtains which now blew this way and that in the afternoon breeze.
As Dorfanen made his way through the main sitting room, he spied what he searched for. In a room off to the side of the dwelling, a large bed was clearly visible. On it, a woman was lying against the soft linens, weeping quietly.
A smirk came across Dorfanen's face as he made his way into the room. He carried no visible weapons, but that would matter not. One maiden...that was all he needed. No sword was necessary to capture her. As he entered the room, his breathing slowed and his walk became silent. His hand went to the post of the large bed that held up a great canopy.
He moved forward, placing a firm hand on the woman's shoulder. "E'vesash...."

E'vesash awoke from her slumber with a start, her dreams had not been pleasant ones. Upon seeing the strange man in place of Legolas or even Aaragorn, she struggled to rise up from the bed. "Who..are you?" She managed, wrenching her shoulder from his firm grip. "Where's Legolas?" She thought perhaps Legolas had not been able to get Evinyatar and had fetched this other in his stead.

Dorfanen smirked, not bothering to remove the firm hand from her shoulder. "Legolas is...occupied as of late. He was unable to send his greetings....but your sister sends hers..."

E'vesash was beyond confused, and a subtle fear began to creep into her. Who was this man? "Where is Legolas?" She repeated the question, but froze when her sister was mentioned. "My sister? Nay, my sister is dead. How do you know of her?" She attempted once more to free herself from his grip, reaching out to strike him across the face.

Dorfanen felt the sharp pain across his face but did not flinch, nor did he remove his hand. She was cornered, and she knew it...
"I know of her...as do you. That should be enough for both of us. But it's a pity really...two women...both so beautiful, while only one rises to glory and power. What decided that it should be her and not you? No matter...you will see her soon enough..."
With that, Dorfanen leaned forward, taking a firm hold of the woman as he slung her over his shoulder.

E'vesash cried out as he lifted her from the bed. Certainly someone could hear her...after all, the balconey was not enclosed. She squirmed and dug her nails into his shoulder, causing herself to get dropped to the ground. She let out a moan as she slowly rose. "Do not...touch me." She gasped, trying to catch her breath. Evy feared this man, he was not kind, and did not have honor...nor care for the honor of others. How could he take her to her sister. Her sister died a long time ago. She saw it.

Dorfanen was upon her in a flash. "I'm afraid I have no choice E'vesash." She fought furiously, but to no avail. His large hand came to rest on her mouth, muffling the screams she now began to emit without ceasing. There was only one option for him in this situation. Taking his fre hand, he brought it down with tremendous force, causing the maiden to lose consciousness.
Glancing about quickly, Dorfanen became aware of shouting in the street. Someone had heard her, and it was making his job all the harder. As a clanging was heard in the street, Dorfanen rushed towards the balcony with the maiden now slung over his shoulder. Taking one last look at the door, he flung himself out over the height.
The man's large form began plummeting downward, but not for long. He soon hit the top of a vendor's stall below the balcony and went crashing through the roof. His back strained and cried out for comfort, but he could waste no time. The woman, who had been protected during the fall by Dorfanen's body.
Dorfanen took off at a paced run, making his way through the city. He kept to the back streets, avoiding contact with anyone he could avoid and soon arrived at a stable where he had left his horse. Once he had placed the woman in front of him on the saddle, he mounted and they were off. The horse set off at a quick trot, and soon they were out of the city, but not without having to first escape the guards.
With that, they were off towards Mordor...

Legolas enterd the home some time later in the day. He closed the door and made his way quietly to the bedchamber, expecting to find his beloved there. But behold, none did he find in the room, and after searching the other rooms he came to the same conclusion. His wife was gone...
Panic and fear overtook him as he rushed into the street. She was gone...

Alatariel made her way down the street outside the home of Legolas and E'vesash. Before Dorfanen had taken her sister away, she'd switched garments with the elven maid...none would recognize her different. It was about that moment that she spotted Legolas wandering the street as well. He had a worried look upon his face, but she waved to him and smiled. "I needed to get out for some fresh air...I apologize if I worried you."

Legolas rushed towards her, embracing her in his arms as he released a sigh of relief.
"Oh Evy..." After a momentary pause he glanced down at her. "And how do you feel now? Unfortunately Envinyatar has pressing matters of his own..."

Aragorn walked from the Citadel through the byways of the City, eventually coming to the lane where stood the home of his good comrade Legolas. He knocked upon the door, awaiting his friend to open it and invite him inside.

Alatariel was startled by Legolas' quick embrace, but she quickly regained her wits and looked up at him with Evy's smile. "I am sorry to have frightened you so. I think the night air has done me good." She leaned back to better view his face, searching it briefly. As she glanced toward the door of Legolas' and E'vesash's home, she spotted a man knocking on the door. She squinted against the glare of the setting sun. "That is not him, is it?" She asked Legolas, moving toward the door to greet whomever was their visitor.
