An Evening Stroll

[Legolas]

Legolas smiled, putting his arms around her, resting his head against her shoulder, "I can't help being a little worried about you Evy. Perhaps I always will be... but only for your safety."

[E'vesash]

E'vesash returned his smile, relaxing in his arms as he held her close. "Though I am fine...really." She rested her head against his, a soft sigh emitted through her scarcely parted lips. "But thank you for caring."

[Legolas]

Legolas grinned, letting his fingers run across her arm, "It's always a pleasure to care for you..."

[E'vesash]

E'vesash trembled slightly as his fingers moved across her arm. "Well, I am glad then that I have one so caring looking out for me." She met his gaze and smiled. "I feel as though none of the world could reach me here."

[Legolas]

Legolas looked down at her, his bright blue eyes holding the green emeralds before him, not releasing their light.

"Nothing shall Evy. Together, we will always be strong, and nothing shall tear you from me..."

[E'vesash]

"Oh how I long for that to be true." E'vesash nestled herself against him, resting her head against his shoulder and breathing in the cool air that surrounded them. She wished she could remain here forever, though she knew it could not be possible.

[Legolas]

"It will be true Evy...soon...so very soon. I shall wait only for you, and then...then we will be married."

Legolas felt a cool breeze sweep over them, blowing her long hair across his fave, like a layer of grace and peace, flowing over him.

[E'vesash]

E'vesash lifted her head and kissed him lightly, leaning back slightly as she looked into his eyes. So much could be told and seen through one's eyes...and she could definitely see the love in this elf's. "Thank you for loving me." She whispered, afraid to move for fear that the night would shatter.

[Legolas]

Legolas held her gaze, feeling the warmth of her lips against his. His heart felt light, and his mind giddy, as he held her tightly, embracing her in his arms,

"No, thank you, for loving me, after...after what has happened."

[E'vesash]

E'vesash watched him curiously for a moment before she gave a response. "The past matters not." She rested her head once more upon his shoulder and whispered into his ear, "I would love you anyway...always and forever." She felt secure in his tight embrace, and worried not of the other goings on of Middle Earth...tonight they did not matter either.

[Legolas]

Legolas returned her embrace, putting his hand against her head, holding her face against his chest, "As would I Evy...as would I."

[E'vesash]

E'vesash nestled herself against him once more, finding comfort in the strong arms that now held her so close. "You said you are waiting for me for our marriage to take place? Do not wait on me, for I am ready whenever you are."

[Legolas]

Legolas nodded, silent, preferrinig that she would choose, and not force the decision on him.

"But I have no desire to choose for you Evy. It is as much your choice as mine."

[E'vesash]

E'vesash sighed and turned about in his arms so that she was leaning back against him, gazing out across the landscape. "Legolas, I do not know what to do. You are the leader, and I would much prefer you to make the decision...but since you will it on me, I would like to have this matter settled as soon as possible. There is no sense in delaying it because what purpose would that serve?" She turned to face him, a faint bit of worry showin gin her emerald eyes. "Is that the right decision?"

[Legolas]

Legolas felt the penetration of her gaze, meeting his eyes, and the emerald fire locking with his face.

She spoke truly, perhaps knowing his heart, or what he would desire, but in either case, she was right, wise in all matters, knowing what seemed like everything.

"It is Evy. It is what I desire, and if it is what you want, then I say it is the same with me."
