Legolas led E'vesash across the great walks of the White City, as they wandered about, aimlessly, simply enjoying being together.
Legolas felt the warmth of her hands as they continued slowly. He had dreamed of being with her again, and now it seemed a reality at last.

E'vesash drew herself close to him as the chill of the evening began to set in. She allowed the crisp air to fill her lungs as she walked along beside Legolas...her mind wandering in so many different directions that she could hardly keep up. "What is your opinion on when we should wed?" She asked, her emerald eyes glancing up to view his reaction.

Legolas said nothing for several minutes as they walked along in silence. He knew what he considered as being best in their situation, but what E'vesash's opinion was, he could only guess, so he simply spoke his mind as he saw it.
"Realize E'vesash, that this is only my opinion, and I am willing to consent to whatever you desire, but...my heart yearns to be with you, and I fear delay will only tear my mind. It would be soon, as I desire. Perhaps within the month."
Legolas glanced down, hoping to catch some reaction from her.

E'vesash nodded and wrapped her arm about his own. "Then it shall be so." She leaned her head lightly against his shoulder as they walked, her upswept elvish-ears catching the soft noises of the evening as others stirred about them.

Legolas held her against his tall frame, as they continued on in silence. It was a dream, truly, for as he had lost her, now she had returned to him, as a distant memory, that was yet so familiar. Nothing could ever compare with the joy he felt in her arms, and the true love that he had for her.
"E"vesash, you have made me happier than my words, or the words of any tongue can describe. My joy is in you."

E'vesash smiled as she looked up into Legolas' face. "Then I shall cherish is as a great treasure." She returned her head to its place against his shoulder, and contented herself to listening to the melodies of the night. Perhaps while she was staying in Gondor she would have chance to meet the lady Arwen. She had seen the woman from afar only in Rivendell...but had ne'er spoken to her. But that was best left for another time. Tonight she was with the one she loved.

Legolas slowly led E'vesash on as they strolled about the city, coming at last to the great spire, that overlooked the plains and as far as Mordor. It was a magnificent site at night, the sun illuminating the mountains from behind the city, and the last rays of the sun, casting their dull glow against the land.
Legolas put his arm around Evy, holding her against him as they stood there, content, together once more...

E'vesash gazed out across the landscape, her emerald eyes taking in all that they possibly could. She was glad to be once more in the open air, and breathed it in deeply. A gently breeze swept across the spire, and the stars gave off their soft light. "This truly is a beautiful place." She finally dared to whisper. "But not more beautiful than the trees."

Legolas smiled, landing a soft kiss on her lips, before replying to her mention of the city.
"It is indeed, and Ithilien matches its beauty, surrounded by the trees, the land, wild, untamed and undaunted by the rest of the world."

E'vesash glanced up. "It is where you truly wish to go, isn't it?" Her words were more of a statement than a question, and she turned her eyes outward across the land. Mayhap it would be a better place to go...a better place for her than the confines of a city. She swiped a few wayward strands of hair from her face as she awaited a response from her beloved.

Legolas looked down at her, holding her gaze with his eyes, dancing in the light,
"I wish to go where you go. My path is beside yours, and I will not decide by myself."

E'vesash smiled, her emerald eyes sparkling in the light of the moon and stars. She turned her fair face to view his own as she thought about what her next words would be. "Then I shall follow you...wherever you go." After all, that was her place. She reached out a slender hand and brushed it lightly against his cheek.

Legolas watched her eyes, and felt her soft touch against his face. She was truly gracious, and even for all his mistakes, here she was, saying that she would follow him. Assuredly, she was full of the blessing given to the humble, and the gentle.
"Then we shall go to Ithilien, and make our home there, where we shall live together, away from all that hinders our path. If you will go with me, then to the east lies our path."

E'vesash nodded. "Of course I will go. Did you doubt that I would follow?" She rested her hands lightly upon his chest, her eyes searching his own...knowing what his answer would be, but wanted to hear it nonetheless. Her lips parted slightly, as if to say something more, but she closed them once more, keeping the silence.

Legolas shook his head, taking a hold of her hand, grasping it firmly.
"Nay, though perhaps that you would wish to be somewhere else. I owe you much Evy, and I desire to make it aright, so I ask to know your mind, and to be able to take you where you desire to be."
