Valdrik was pleased with his hit to Ash's arm. So pleased infact that the next move caught him unawares and Ash was able to displace his shield and leave his neck vulnerable to a swing. But, luck would have it that at the moment before Ash's sword met his neck a mighty explosion rocked the ground, sending Valdrik flying backwards and in doing so saving his life. He was now several yards away from the Elf and he looked up. The gates had fallen! He smirked, the Elf could wait for another day. He grabbed his horn and blew furiously on it, signalling the Cavalry that had 'retreated' earlier. The fact was, they had only regrouped and waited for a moment when their return would be most advantageous. The ground shook as the horsemen galloped head on into the gate, spears forward to kill all in their path. Valdrik wiped some blood from his wounded side and smirked, the elf was indeed a fierce fighter. It mattered naught now though, it was the dwarf he was interested in now. He mounted his steed and charged in behind his cavalry.

With the retreat of his opponent, Ashuron was left standing in the midst of the battle with his arm spewing blood. He gave an ultrasonic whistle, calling Arken to him. The Captain who had been riding Arken leaped off to continue fighting on foot while Ash threw himself onto the wolf's back and the two of them set off, running up the slope of the mountain, dodging in between Elves, Men, and others to an area far above the battle. Sitting down, he pulled out a few special leaves which he placed upon his wounded arm to slow the bleeding as he watched the battle and Arken stood guard over the healing Lord.

Watching the battle take place from a short distance away, it did not take Sophianna long to spot the lone elf that rode out to tend to his wounds. Thinking back, she recalled him as having been the one fighting with Valdrik. She spurred her horse into action, riding up the slope and stopping only a short distance away from Ashuron. Swiftly, she dismounted and drew her blade. She cocked her head with a smirk. "So, are two blades really better than one?"

The wolf next to Ash stood up and moved a foot forward snarling, but stood still when the elf said, "Daro!*" and then to the newcomer, "Who are you? What do you want? And truly, the style of blade must match its wielder. Who are you?" Then Ashuron picked up one sword and reflected light off of it, sending a signal of light to his captains, which he hoped at least one of would see and read.

Sophianna watched as he picked up the sword and bounced the light of the sun off it. She arched a brow, but said nothing. Apparently, he thought her nothing but a foolish maiden. Oh well, she would let him have his sword and his light. Let others show up if they saw. "You do not know me? I am offended." She grinned. "But then, I suppose we have never been introduced. Let me do the honors." She gave a sort of mock bow, then glanced up. "My name is Sophianna," she smirked casually, but held her sword with all readiness in her hand in case he should decide to spring something on her.

"Names mean little in the current times, Sophianna, but rather alliegances speak louder. With whom have you come to this Dwarven rock? Which army do you fight with, or are you a passerby who enjoys pulling their swords out and approaching Elves on mountains? Are you on the side of justice or malice?" Then suddenly Ashuron shook his head, "Disregard that last question," he said, "For each side defines them there own way."

Sophianna laughed softly, and glanced toward him. "Yes, tis true and unfortunate that names mean so little these days. But remember, elf, that I am never a passerby." She left it to him to decide what that statement meant. "Justice or malice you ask? A difficult question...but to disregard it altogether?" She eyed him cautiously. "In your opinion, I believe I serve the side of malice...I answer to Valdrik - your little friend from below. But don't be such a poor judge of character. We all have our good points as well as bad."

"Hm, Valdrik. So that was the name of that barbarian. If the gate had lasted even a second longer, your master would be dead now. On the other hand, if it helps your pride, he did get me fairly well," Ash said as he pointed to his arm. "Now then, do you have buissness here on the mountain, or will you be moving along?" Ashuron tightened his grip on the sword in his good hand in case the other should make a sudden attack.

Sophianna watched him, her eyes never leaving his movements in case she needed to spring to action. Though outwardly, her posture was casual, as was her dark gaze. "I should try fighting with two blades sometime," she stated, picking up on an earlier topic of conversation. "One suits me fine for now...but you never know when two might come in handy." Her eyes trailed the length of the blade he held in his hand. There was a glint of mischeif in her eyes before she lifted her blade and swung it with grace and quickness toward the elf's chest.

"Si!*" Ashuron's wolf leaped forward, jaws wide apart, charging to knock Sophianna over. At the same time, Ashuron's sword moved to intercept the woman's sword, forcing it to the side. "Even with only one blade useable, I still wield one, which should be enough to stop you from harming me further. Go ahead, try all you want. All I have to do now is watch the battle unfold from up here."
*Now!

In the moonlight, the shadows of elven warriors, running with light feed or on unsattled steeds, aproached ghostly and silent from the south. 10 000 was their number and grey was their armor and clothing. Not far away from the battle ground their bodies took shape when they stoped, like a nightmare of an ancient dream. Keen blue eyes were scanning the field and scouts werde send to the edges of the battle. Lady Vanya, clad in grey passed through the shadows and gave the sign for blowing the horns and the sound of the grey host got reflected many times in the mountains. The first wave of Mithlond had arrived.

Morsereg heard the horns of his allies, "Do not answer them, we are needed here!" He cried to his army as his sword danced through the air.
"Today you fall, Aragorn. I shall see you fall and then I will run my blade through your chest until there is no more blood to flow." He threatened, feigning a series of blows, stopping short each time to move Aragorn's attention.
Morsereg dropped to the ground, holding his body in the air by his two hands, sweeping underneath Aragorn with his legs. As Elessar jumped to avoid it, Morsereg stabbed upwards with his sword, hoisting himself into the air to add the extra push.
And as they fought, the Orcs were unhindered, despite the powerful opponents. While the Orcs were seldom a match, the men of Carn Dum were lasting longer, taking out many men before they died, while the Orcs only took Gondorian life when they were in a frenzy. The Warlords of Carn Dum were doing the best however, aside from the foul spirits, for they could take down maybe a hundred men before they themselves were felled.
Many spiders were eventually spending part of the battle climbing from beneath a Snow Troll which had fallen and fell on them. The remaining Snow Trolls wrecked havoc wherever they went, swinging their arms bluntly and blindly.
Where the real strength of Angmar lay was within it's spirits. While the spectral beings, the Revenenants, the Spectres, the Barrow-Wights, and the Spectral Wargs, were affected by the song, they backed away. The Duskwraiths were not affected, for they were physical, but they were Wraiths. They were not as far-gone as the Ringwraiths of Sauron, but close enough, direct emissary of Morsereg's power, his elite. Through their eyes and ears Morsereg could watch all of Angmar, making them the best choice when it comes to keeping them stationed at an outpost.
These Duskwraiths took on the Elite Guard, felling some midsong. Their pale blades swung in the moonlight, singing an even greater and older song, the song of death.

Sophianna curse beneath her breath as the wolf barreled into her, sending her falling backward. She landed on the ground with a light thud, wiping a bit of blood from her arm where the wolf's teeth had made contact. With a toss of her head, she sent her hair back from her face, resting her elbows on her knees as she looked up, her sword still gripped tightly in her hand. "You cheated." She stated simply nodding toward the wolf. "Did I use my horse to charge you down?"

"Only because you're either not resourceful enough or too polite. In combat, the more skilled and resourceful wins. There is no place for politeness." Ashuron stood up, with one sword in one hand. "Now, were you going to try again to kill me or stand aside so I can return to the battle?"
Elsewhere, the forces of Lorien moved forward towards the fallen gate of Erebor to help prevent too many enemies from flowing in, for one captain had read Ash's light signal from his sword.

The scouts reported to Lady Vanya about the falling gates of Erebor and she gave order to formate in the back of the evil forces and to attack when ready. She send a message to Mithlond for pulling out the next wave of 10 000 warriors by ship toward Gondors shores. The archer took position behind the enemy lines and opened the fire, while the rider split into two and charged into the flanks of their foes.
