(oh ok sorry about that. i was gonna say somin nice but never mind. .... lol but can i clarify something? is your gate engrained into the mountain or is it seperate because Korr wouldnt be able to get out without it opening unless it was seperate. im just curious is all.)
As Korre's fire touched the bombs the escorts were blown asunder and the great ram of Mordor was torn apart but it was not a total loss. A large number of his own men defending the gate had been killed, making Arnor, Khand, and Mordor's press upon the gate even easier.
(my post would be bigger but i need your reply first to my ooc.)

((lol... I said a few hundred of my men, not thousends. I moved them out of the way, remember? And no... Korr wasn't IN Erebor. He flew away from the battle for a while. And the gate is engrained in Erebor itself. Not separate.))

You posted it sort of like they were all in line sort of... And yeah, it would have been like a warning, thus giving my men more time to scatter. But you also posted that your units were in a concentrated area around the bombs and the battering ram thing. So, it would have made it harder for your bomb-carriers to get away in time with everyone pushing and running in their formations around them, wouldn't it? Here, PM me if you have any more questons.))

(no i didnt. i posted that two went to completely opposite sides of the gate and that even the ram in the middle wouldnt be hit by the explosion of the seige was successful.)
The escorts were indeed destroyed but some bombs had evaded Korr's glance and were still making their way to the gate. The forces of Mordor charged forward and clashed with the hosts defending Erebor's gates and began an intense fight. The horses of Mirkwood were locked within the ranks so their charges would be as effective but also the Fell Steeds of Mordor and the Wargs were locked in battle. Regrouping for either side would be fatal for the factions.
Alcorad realized the threat of Korr and turned his Fell Beast about, following the creature as Jadyis and Theatana moved ahead to attack the archers on the gate. As Korr turned the corner to a small cliff at the side of Erebor's mountain wall, Alcorad spied Orre there aswell. He scoffed and spurred his beast forward until he hovered in the air before the dwarf and his little pet. "Greetings, Orre. I must say this is quite a little resisitance you've made but still I hope that you shall not see yourself through this battle. My list of enemies is growing rapidly I must say and so it seems that the only way to deal with them is to seperate them from the rest and pick them off one by one... much like you are now." A dark smile dawned his lips and it slowly curled into a sneer. "Again and again you have evaded me in this battle but not now. Come and fight me, it is time that we settle the score. Now the true battle shall take place."
Alcorad brought his beast upwards high onto another cliff with uncanny speed and dismounted it, looking down upon Orre from above. He dove down from the top of the cliff and landed squarely on his feet, the force of the impact making his body stoop. Slowly he lifted his head up, a lustful smile spread across his face. The Blade of Defile was drawn from its sheeth and the battle and shined an eery crimson light that illuminated Alcorad's eyes, they're tint darkening to the hue of blood. "Are you ready, Orre?"

An archer spotted the bombs making their way to the gate and fired, before however, he shouted in warning. This archer happened to be one of Dale, thus he had flamming arrow. As soon as this arrow hit the bomb, a second explosion went off, this time taking the remaing few bombs with it, and taking a large hunk out of Mordor and Mirkwood's army.
Orre turned to Alcorad and smirked, grasping his hammer ever tighter in his palm. "You are a fool, Alcorad. You are so blinded by your greed you fail to see your armies failing before your very eyes. You are loosing. King Dain comes to our aid, and we are smothering your forces down below. You have lost."

"Blind little dwarf." Alcorad spat, his smile wide and malicious as he gripped his own blade tightly and began to approach. "Has your height hindered your vision so much? You are outnumbered, not us. Even the King Dain cannot save you for after you fall so shall he. All that have joined you in your rebellion shall fall and you know it is true. The forces of darkness shall wash over you like a plague. And after that... well... we all know what happens then, don't we, Orre? Or has Mandos still not told you?"

Orre smirked, shaking his head. "No, he has not. All good things must come to an end. As all bad things must also... You are the blind one. Mandos does not commune with those who have turned their backs to the Valar. You are now an emessary of no one. You are your own shadow. Your own darkness. Your own destruction."

Alcorad laughed mockingly at the foolish dwarf and raised his blade toward him. "You seem to always find a way of twisting my words. You are correct. I am an emissary of no one, not since the fall of Morgoth at the War of Wrath. Your own foolishness and arrogance shall lose you this battle. So content are you upon your own victory that you will not even listen to those who give you passage of life and death. I attempted to tell you at the Carach Angren and I and I have attempted to tell you now but always it has been to no avail. Turn a def ear upon me, Orre, it matters not. You impudence shall earn you a place in Mandos' Halls and maybe then you will know. Perhaps he will feel guilt at allowing you to fall to your doom."

Valdrik's sword found its way into Ash's left arm, sending a shower of pure elven blood splattering them both. "Die!" Ashuron yelled, and brought his other arm up and around, sending his blood-stained sword towards Valdrik's neck, also throwing his body to the side to shove the man's shield out of the way, and throwing another spout of blood through the air.

Finally Arathorns force arrived the Trebuchets were set up, and witha m ioght roar there rocks were hurled at thelines of Mirkwood and Erebor infornt of the gate splattering many crush elf and dwarf alike .
Infront of the trebuchets were the great speasrs of Fornost and behind were the aarchers, protecting the trebs were the Dunedain no beast would get within there bow range and live to tell the tale as there archery was legendary and there skills with a blade almost unmmatched unless by that of the tower gaurd of gondor and that of the elves.
The 4000 remaining calvary of the orignal battalion made its way back to the reinforcments they were now 11000 strong heavy lancers would break the lines of the Enemy.
As the ca;vary alligned itself Arathorn came to its head and yelled out " Let thr forces of Erebor and its allies know the true power of Arnor , crush them all" with that he yelled out "CHARGE!!!!" and with it they gallopped accross the plains the ground shaking beneath them and the enemy trembling before the stars of Arnor. As they charged into the dwarvern lines who had fled form the explosions , thus not giving them enough time to counter attack the Arnorian charge .
The Dwarves armour was pierced by the grand Arnorian lances tall and porud the arnorians sat upon there steeds that had bore them thus from Arnor for many a day. There armour was the best contructed in the military seeing as they were sepatable to bow fire .
Slowly they made there way to the Arnorian and Khand force killing the enemy between them wedging there formation through .

(its time that god damned gate fell. lol if this dont get it nothin will)
The catapults of Mordor continued to beat upon the walls as legion after legion of the might of Moria and Mordor threw themselves into the dwarven lines. Something was brewing now. The bombs had served purpose as a suicide attempt but even still one bomb remained. Alcorad's Fell Beast had flown down from the high peek where Alcorad had left it, a bomb clutched tightly in its talons. The last resort would have to be taken.
As the mighty armies of Alcorad's host fought with malice and lust for the blood of elves and dwarf, decapitating bodies and sending fountains of blood rising into the air from their stubbed necks, the spinal Cord protruding gruesomely from the flesh. The cavalry impaled others and with their riders great strength, they lifted the pole-arms and lances into the air, displaying the limp dwarven bodies for all to see. All was going well and in favor of the forces of darkness for all that the eye could see. Alcorad's Fell Beast screeched and dropped the bomb right upon the crossway on the gates top where the archer fire originated. As the round explosive landed heavily upon one of the dwarven archers, the defenders of the gate looked upon it in terror and slowly turned about. "Why would Mordor drop a useless bomb on the gate?" one said with a jovial laugh. Then they heard it. The sound of the spiders. The spiderlings and Spider Riders were massing upon the side of the ravine and in a dazzling flame, their arrows were alight. Thousands upon thousands of flames shone all around them and in fear the dwarves began to delay the spiders with their own archer fire and push the black powder explosive from the gate but the volley was too large. Thousands of arrows dashed through the air leaving trails of smoke and remnants of a fading light in their wake. The bomb exploded upon the gate, making a massive explosion. The spiders fled into the crags of the ravine and the gate creaked and moaned as the trebuchets continued to pelt it with projectiles. It was at that moment that its hold broke. Erebor's gate had finally fallen.
The explosion shook the entire mountain and Alcorad turned his head slowly to its origination. "Do you hear that?" he said as he turned back to Orre with a triumphant grin. "That is the sound of your impending doom." he began to laugh, low at first, a chuckle even, but it grew loud and terrible, maniacal. Alcorad flung himself forward, the black mass moving with unbelievable speed as if it was naught but a falter of scenery. The shining blade passed swiftly by Orre and delivered a small wound to the back of his leg. Blood trailed down from the cut and Orre turned about, a look of anger and readiness in his eyes. Both opponents raised their weapons and lunged for one another. The true battle had begun.

Lancir heard the noise and watched the gate fall and he laughed as he turned toward his army also looking at Arathorn. "If you fight against erober the time has come the gates has fallen CHARGE" with that the speed of the foot solders and horse archers charged into the ditch and into erober killing upon site.
