Idrial's eyes flashed as he grabbed her arm and twisted it toward him. "Let me go." She murmured, wincing ever so slightly at the sting that went through her arm as he poured the liquor upon it. "T'was no blade...it was an arrow." She said in response as he released her from his grip. "You needn't concern yourself with the matters of a simple thief." Idrial stated to Vilik, glancing toward Thorongil and Alagos in irritation...knowing that's exactly what they thought of her.
The maiden took the rag and looped it once around her arm, she attempted to grab it with her other hand to wrap it around a second time, but the position was just out of it's reach. After a few more futile attempts of tying a knot one-handed, she covertly tucked the rag beneath the railing in frustration. Stupid Haradrim, she thought to herself as she placed her hand tightly around the wound once more. That would have to suffice.

"So, what's the plan now?" Ash asked Aragorn, "And further more, what have we learned? We found out Harad's under the rulership of a monster, but none of his plans or anything, unless you count his usual talk of burning Gondor to the ground and killing you." The elf pounded his fist against the rail in irritation before saying, "This has to have been one of the most pointless morning of my life, execpt for the battle, that was kinda exciting I guess. Shoulda had even worse odds in our favor, that would of made it better..." the elf began to trail off to a mutter under his breath, talking about the battle at dawn.

Vilik smirked as she snapped at him, "Arrow or blade, you'll thank me either way when the wound dosn't fester, and if there is no honor amongst thieves, what has the world come to?" He then caught the converstaion between the elf and Thorongil and commented. "From the sound of it you are more spies than theives." Before he could comment further he felt water wash into his boot. Looking down he saw the water that was now filling the little boat. He cursed and looked at the others, "I think this boat has had it.... perhaps I should have stolen a bigger one.... and newer...we're going to have to make for shore."

Idrial glanced upward toward him, her eyes narrowed slightly as she heard out his words. Know it all. She thought to herself, turning from him as he entered the conversation of the others. And why should he not leave? No one ever bothered to worry about her fate...especially the man and elf she'd begun her journey with. Why should she expect different from anyone else. It was about that moment that she realized Vilik's statement about the boat reached her ears and she glanced downward, noting the water as well. "Can you not even manage to obtain a decent boat." She asked with a twinge of irritation, finally turning to face the others.

Vilik had begun bailing water when he heard Idrial mocking him again. He laughed to himself and shook his head. "Thank you for the kind words, m'lady, I shall strive ever so hard to do better next time....." He then went back to bailing, wondering what caused the her be so damn bitter. He glanced over to the elf and man and tossed a bucket at each of them. "A little help would be nice."

"Great, a sinking boat, that's just what we need," Ash said sarcasticly as he grabbed the bucket and began removing water from the boat. "However, we are neither spies nor theives, at least some of us arn't. We're mecenaries, and a hired blade is something totally different than a thief."

Idrial smiled sarcastically and nodded to him after his words to her were finished. "I would appreciate it." Was all she said before she went back to staring across the water. Her family had loved the sea...had loved the water. Well, they no longer got to see it. She glanced back toward Aragorn, but said nothing...and did nothing. It was all she had done her entire life. All she was worth...or so everyone else had made a point of telling her. She cast an annoyed glance toward the elf for the accusing statement he'd directed her way. Had he ever seen here steal anything? It was doubtful.
Idrial was glad that Vilik had not handed her a bucket. She did not feel like helping at the moment. Her arm was in pain, she was frustrated at the rag he'd tossed at her...she was content simply to sit here and sulk. Mayhap that was what she was good at. The maiden pulled her feet up beside her on the railing so that she did not have to get any wetter than she already was.

Vilik began to get a little annoyed with the comments about the boat. When he'd stolen it he hadn't expected to need to use it again, nor to have it over crowded. It had floated fine when he had been by himself. He continued to bail and the boat started to pick up a little speed as they kept it free of the extra wieght of the water.
Vilik made his way any way he could: Thievery, piracy, he had even taken on a job as a hired blade a time or two and these two men he knew were none of the above, which made him curious as to just who the pair was and what exactly they were up to. He looked at the elf and asked. "So, your a hired blade? Who are you last working for, might I ask?"
He then looked back at the girl as she sat there sulking and started to make another smart comment to her about not needing to worry about her feet getting wet if the whole dam boat sank while she sat there, but, seeing that her arm seemed to hurt and considering the foul mood she was in, he decided against it.
A few miles up the coast there was a small coastal town, if they could keep the boat afloat for while longer they could make it there.

"Well, I see there's nothing that can be hidden from you Mr... whoever you are. We were in fact hired by the Lord of Lothlorien to investigate the rumors of cruelty to oliphaunts in the deserts of Harad. Lord Ashuron is very worried about preserving the natural beauty of all of Middle-earth, inclueding the oliphaunts." Inside, Ash was laughing but on the outside he maintained a layer of calmness.

Idrial continued to allow her gaze to wander the water and the horizon, finally spotting what she thought appeared to be buildings and houses. "Is that the land we seek?" She asked anyone who would answer with a quick glance over her shoulder. The maiden rolled her eyes, not in the least amused by the elf's sarcasm...though he seemed to quite enjoy it himself. But she said nothing.

Vilik smirked at the elf's lie and replied. "Well, there is a cause everyone in Middle Earth can rally behind." He then dropped the subject. If the two didn't want to reveal who they were that was fine by Vilik. When Idrail commented on the land he looked up, glad that the little boat had made it. "Whether thats what we seek or not, that is where we're going." They would be to the towns docks in a matter of minutes.

Idrial rose from her seated position as the small boat was manuvered along side one of the town's docks. Before the boat was even tied she leapt over to the wooden platform, glad to be off that leaky vessel. "Well, at least we made it." She said, her mood lightening ever so slightly. The maiden glanced toward Aragorn. "I do not suppose we're to get a chance to catch up on much needed sleep."

"Nay, we shan't. Not that ye need it much - 'twas we as did the bailing water. Come, we still have to find the fortress of Gurherdir. Vilik, we are eternally in thy debt, but could not ask thee to continue on with us. We go from peril into deeper peril, and like as not it is death that awaits us; I cannpt ask thee to follow. Though, like as like, Marcus awaits at the end of the road, if he has taken up with Gurherdir..."

Idrial tilted her head and watched Aragorn curiously as he spoke. "Yes, and I'm sure t'was a very wearying task." There was a hint of sarcasm in her voice, but she said nothing more on the matter. She listened silently as Aragorn spoke to Vilik, and she wondered what his answer would be. Surely he knew that it was a foolish act to follow them...but then, so did she, and she was still here.

Vilik climbed out of the boat onto the dock. He wieghed his options, either find the local inn and tavern and have a hot meal, cold ale and soft bed or rush headfirst with no sleep and no meal into the certain death that awaited them at Gurherdir's fortress. "I believe I'll just stay here tonight. You rush along to your graves if thats what you want, tomorrow I may catch up with you and finish my dealings with Marcus."
