Marcus:
After another day and a half of sailing the coast of Harad could be seen on the horizon. The crew navigated the ship into Umbar's huge harbor and brought the ship alongside an empty warf. The crew worked at lowering the sails and tying lines to the dock.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Curtus:
"Now, mr. king o gondor, when do i get me gold?" he said coming up to him. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Envinyatar:
"Well, ye'll just a'hafta be a'waitin' here, unless ye feel like a'walkin' 'bout the city with me. Come on, an' we'll go ter a place I know, where me spies sit when they be off duty. I have an emergency stash a'hidden with every comp'ny of me spies, and ye'll be a'dippin deep inter it this day, cap'n. Shall ye walk wif meh?" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aragorn began to walk away from the docks with Ash and Idrial in tow, and turned ere he left them to see if Curtus or Marcus would follow.

Idrial followed them closely. There was no way she was getting left behind again. She tucked a strand of hair behind one ear as she glanced back over her shoulder, following Aragorn's gaze toward the two pirates. She hoped they weren't coming. Pirates were nothing but trouble. Not that others didn't think that about her...but she would prove different on this trip. She was sure of it.
Idrial folded her arms and glanced back toward the man and elf. "So...what exactly is it that we're doing in Harad. I might be able to help you better if I knew." Maybe.

Marcus walked behind them at a distance. He didn't like the idea of going with them to collect the payment, but, he didn't trust the King to bring the gold back to the ship and he did expect to be paid well.

"My friend and I are here on an important mission. As to why you're here, I'm sure you have your reasons, but I haven't an idea why," Ash said to Idrial. He gazed about the area of Umbar they were in, watching the inhabitants go by, includeing several drunken corsairs.

Idrial glanced toward the elf with a wearying glare. His remarks were beginning to bother her somewhat...which was surprising as she'd heard enough of them in her life time. The maiden stepped out of the way of a passing group that was laughing amongst themselves, and paying no attention to the outside world, before she herself turned and faced the elf. "I had no idea that your race was so rude." She stated casually, folding her arms and allowing her eyes to lesiurely scan the other occupants of the area - which were many for such a small space.

"I'm not normal for my race," Ashuron said, laughing and indicating his use of a broadsword instead of a normal elvish longsword as an example and pushing passed Idrial further into the street.

Aragorn chuckled at Ash's unfriendly ways, and lead the way for he and Idrial, and Marcus, to a seedy dockhouse but little distant from the berth of the Leviathan. Coming up behind, his fellows could see the dim outline of a tree blazoned upon the door, appearing aged and faded. Aragorn disappeared within, but soon returned with a large and hefty bag in his hand. He dropped it into Marcus' hands, and shook it for him
"One hundred an' fif'y double gold pieces fer each o' us - methink that oughter satisfy yer cap'n!"

Idrial halted her steps for a moment, her mouth slightly open as if she were going to say something in return but was cut off by the elf's hasty 'retreat.' The maiden placed her hands on her hips for a brief moment, a look of irritation on her face, before she resumed her steps a bit more briskly and caught up with him. "Now just a minute," she said, her words directed to both the elf and Aragorn, "if I'm to be sticking my neck out for the both of you...I think I ought to know why. And what have I ever done to either of you to get so easily mocked?" Her last question was directed more toward the elf, but it did not matter.

Marcus looked at the bag and then back to Aragorn. "Aye, a bag a gold 'is size for EACH of you would make my Captain happy." Marcus paused and then added "And another for myself."

Aragorn seemed to mull this scallywaggardly statement over for a few seconds, and then he drawled at Marcus:
"Weeell, ye pirates ain't the on'y trickisity fellows about. I don't be a'seein' any mair o' ye mates hard by - mild fellows felt like a rest on ye lil' boat. So ye'll be a'takin this bag o' gold back to ye cap'n, and naught else, lest ye be a'feelin' up ter a scrap with th' both o' us."
And he left the bag in Marcus' hands, signaled to Ash, and turned to leave.

Marcus glared at Aragorn as he began walking away, then called out to him. "Oh, your highness. We're ye here on 'secret' mission of sorts by chance?"

"Nay, not too. We'll be a'leavin' Umbar ternight or in th' morn, once we've a'checked up on me men 'ere. If i's blackmail ye be a'thinking o', then ye'll no' 'ave any luck. We'll be a'skedaddled ere the dimwits from the palace arrive, and yer Leviathan - th' las' thing she'll be a'seeing 'll be the shots from ten o' me ships ere she sinks."

Marcus smirked and bowed. "Well then, I have been out smarted by the crafty King of Gondor and his dwarf companion. I suppose I should be on my way." Marcus turned towards the street, bag of gold in hand. As he passed by Ash he tossed one of the gold pieces to him and commented. "Go buy yourself a new shirt, dwarf. Ye smells like a Corsair's whore." He bowed to Idrial as he passed, "Was a pleasure meeting you." He then walked away into the crowded port city of Umbar.
