"You came up with the Oliphaunts? I do believe that that was me. However, yours is a good plan now, and I think it best that you deliever it to our...companions, as you have a bit more charisma than I. Enjoy the experience," Ash said and directed Aragorn back to the group with a sarcastic bow.

Aragorn chuckled. "It was thou that first propounded the inspired Oliphauntness, but I who forwarded the deception. After all, it is as thou sayest: I have a bit more charisma." He slapped Ash upon the back, and they walked back to the others. "Now, as ye well know," Thorongil began to hold forth to the others, "Alagos and I are here in search of Gurherdir's private Oliphaunt herd. Now, to obtain as many of them as we can - by means known to us alone, we would be greatly in ye're debt if ye would go to the kitchens and create a sizeable disturbance, then disappear and meet us again here. Do this several times until we are here when ye return, and then we shall go. Is this agreeable? We are willing to share the profits in this venture if thou wilt comply."

Saemon looked surprised. "All this for Oliphounts? Do you guys feel well?" he chuckled and shoke his head. "Oliphounts. Well, not my business, do like you desire."

Vilik starred at Thorongil as he spouted out his plan and railed on with the bullshit of oliphant herds. As Vilik listened he wondered if Thorongil truely believed he was stupid enough to believe the ridiculus story about mumakil, though, he didn't show his anger at being decieved. Vilik simply nodded and said. "A fine plan, Thorongil. We will make a spectacular distraction for you."

Thorongil snorted at Saemon with an unintelligible mutter, and nodded knowingly at Vilik, as though, yes, he knew he was full of mumak shit, but didn't feel like going into more detail. He appointed Vilik as captain of the distraction party, Idrial as mate, and Saemon as lead homo, and he and Alagos took the right-hand passage while the other three took the left.

Saemon raised an eyebrow but turned to the left-hand passage. "Lead homo," he mumbled and grinned. He turned to the distraction party. "Ideas? Suggestions? Wishes? Maybe they have Oliphaunt steak." He chuckled.

Idrial's brow furrowed slightly at Thorongil's curious assignment for them. She scooped her light hair back from her face and watched him carefully through the darkness. Something about his request was strange...and not just the part about mumakil. But, since everyone else seemed to agree to this charade, she had no choice but to comply. Though what they could do without getting caught was beyond her...well, maybe not quite. She had survived long without getting caught. Unfortunately her family had not been so lucky. She glanced back and forth between Vilik and Saemon. "So, what do we do?"

Aragorn and Ash walked quickly down their section of tunnel, which soon sloped upward and began to hold air at least somewhat fit for breathing by organic life. Ere long the tunnel narrowed, and they found themselves at a dead end with a light screen below them, an air vent of some sort, evidently.

Vilik watched as Thorongil and Alagos pressed forward, turning to Idrial once they were out of earshot. "It seems we are to eat this crap about oliphants and go make some noise in the kitchen as those two go about their 'secret' business." He looked at Saemon with annoyance "To the kitchen..." he waved his hand forward beckoning Saemon to move on. As they reached the opening that led into the kitchen Vilik grinned, "Go cause a stir, good man" He raised his foot and with a nudge to Saemons back sent him falling forward into a rack of kitchen pans, causing quite the clamour. As Saeomon looked up at him in suprise, Vilik raised a finger to his lips, signaling him not to give their position away. He readied his sword, awaiting whomever would be comming to investigate the noise, speaking to Idrial as he sat ready to pounce. "I think its about you told me whats going on here. Who are those two and what is this little venture all about?"

Saemon jumped to his feet and cursed about Vilik, but the kitchen was so loud and busy, that nobody was surprised that one of the staff (so it seemed) had ripped the rack down to the ground. Nobody except the kitchen chef, who looked angrily about the mess and his good pots and pans. And except Marjory, who was peeling veggetables in the corner. She looked up, grew pale when she recognized Saemon, and widened her eyes before she forced herself to look down and pretend not to know him. The kitchen chef came to Saemon, looked sternly at him and asked him for his name. Saemon mumbled an apology, took one pan up as if he wanted to clean his mess up and slammed it over the head of the chief. The iron pan felled the huge haradrim like a tree and a sudden silence appeared. Everybody looked at Saemon and the pan for a moment, than they started to yell and scream and run towards him. He gave heels and run out of the door, close to where Vilik and Idrial waited.

Ash gave a few quick slashes with his sword and then dove downward, breaking through the barrier into what seemed like an empty corridor, the guards being busy with the others in the kitchen. Down the hall, one door close while another nearby opened with a soft, "Yoko yoko," as if to lure the two down the hall and towards the very heart of the fortress. From what seemed like nowhere, a flash of light illuminated the hall, and a man in a wooden mask stood down the hall from Alagos and Thorongil, and with another flash ran quickly into the opened door and into the room beyond. "Nice to keep these things quiet," Ash said, blinking his eyes to get rid of the flash, "But if we catch him now, we may be able to silence him. At least none of the other guards are here." Ash withdrew his sword and charged forward.

Idrial heard the clammer from inside the kitchen as the rack of pots and pans came crashing down. She drew one of her daggers and glanced toward Vilik. Couldn't this wait for a more quiet moment? Right now she was afraid to speak to him for fear of giving away their position. "I'm not sure. If you wish to talk then we'd best go somewhere else...otherwise I think we should remain ready to recieve visitors." Her brown eyes glanced toward him briefly, ducking back into the shadows as Saemon came near. "You fool!" She hissed as he passed by. To anyone but Vilik and Saemon her voice would have sounded a mere rush of the hollow breeze that filled the place.

Vilik nodded, accepting that he was to learn little about what was actually going on and turned his attention back to Saemon. He couldn't help but grin as the fool was chased around the kitchen by guards and cooks alike. He thought for a second to jump down into the fray and lend the man a hand, but, for the moment the scene was to entertaining to end it just yet. He glanced to Idrial, grinning. "I say we give him and his newfound friends a little more playtime. He seems to have a nack for avoiding the mob."

“Hold,” said Aragorn, holding out a hand ere Ash ran off recklessly. “I know yon fellow, the rascally brigand. And if I do, then I’ll swear on thy mother’s life he has a host of men around the corner awaiting us. We should take him by stealth and with caution. There are two of us now, we shall have a better chance of besting him. Thou shouldst go about the side, that room ahead looks large, and like as not has a balcony. See if ye can get thy bow and arrow to bear while I walk in straightway alone. What say ye?”

Idrial glanced to Vilik, a bit confused at first before she caught the gin on his features. A smile rised to her own lips, the first that had been there in a while, and she nodded. "Aye, best to let him risk his own neck since he's doing such a fine job of it. Besides," she whispered, "'tis his fault we're here in the first place." The maiden backed up a bit as the mob came back their way, and her feet struck nothingness. There was a hole! Idrial fell backward, hitting her head against something sharp, splitting the skin on her right temple and stifling her cry of alarm. She quickly grasped onto the ledge and pulled herself back up. She did not need anymore trouble...she'd had her fill of it.
Idrial directed her gaze back to the mob, hoping that Vilik hadn't noticed what had happened. Isn't wasn't important anyway. She briefly touched her throbbing temple, getting wettness on her fingers from her own blood...but her tolerance for pain was high, and she laughed at Saemon's antics nearby. "Don't back up," she whispered to Vilik casually, "there's a hole."
