Vilik inhaled a deep breath from Thorongil's pipe and laughed at the comment about Saemon. He shook his head as Idrial walked away to some distant rock. He passed the pipe back to Thorongil and when Saemon let it be known that the sign was given he stood up ready to follow. He glanced back to where Idrial wandered off to and decided someone ought to let her know as well and he made his way to where she sat. "The odd fellow tells us its time to go. Will you be comming along or have you had enough of us?" He grinned, "Who knows, your dagger might come in handy in this place."

Idrial glanced upward quickly, suprised to find someone talking to her...especially after the scene she's just made. She smiled and gave a half-hearted laugh at his words, pulling herself to her feet. "It doesn't look like I have much of a choice." Her eyes glanced longingly back in the direction they'd come, but she forced herself to look forward once more. "Why is it that we seek Gurherdir in the first place? It certainly only leads to confrontation and probably death." She said to him.

"Well, if we get caught, we'll tell him ye were sneaking in to get behind him, how's that?" Thorongil asked as he took the pipe back from Vilik, inhaled a last deep puff, and emptied it behind the rock. He got up and followed the little man as he walked toward the stronghold. "Now, when we get inside, we're not going to Marjory's room, ye know that, right? And neither are we going to the male lavatories, where ye hold your parties."

"So, where do we go? I know you don't like me asking. But if I shall lead you, I better know. I have been almost everywhere except int the private and secret area of the lordship, and fortunately within his dungeons. But the way to the dongouns or to his private, I can show you." Saemon said quietly and climbed into the dark. "What are you waiting for? Hurry up, the kitchen will prepare dinner soon and then they come to this hatch."

He glanced back as she did and replied, "Well, if you were wanting to back out, now would be the time. I'd say our odds in this place are slim to none, considering we have naked man leading us in...., and besides, I think the reason you keep going and the reason they keep going are two seperate issues. I have no reason to keep going, so, I guess I am the foolish one of the bunch. I settled my score with Marcus when I plunged my dagger in his side and took his gold. Besides, I doubt he will even be in this place." He glanced back towards the group as they headed towards the fortress, "Well, if we're going, we'd better move."

Idrial nodded, checking one of her daggers and making sure it was fastened securely to her belt. As they approached the rest of the group, the foul smell reached her nose. She did not, however, allow the disgust to show on her face. She came up behind Aragorn and whispered, "I still do not understand why we seek Gurherdir at all. We could have simply slipped out silently and heard nothing more of it."

Vilik waked up behind the group and made his own comment, "I do expect to get a cut of whatever pay you get out of all this. If we make it out alive." He pulled his sword and stuck the blade on Saemon's shoulder near his neck. "If you so much as look at a guard the wrong way in this place your head will be the first to drop. I'll not be led into a trap." He then caught wind of the dinner that was being made inside the fortress and nearly choked on his last words. "You'd think Harradrim could manage to have fresh fish for dinner."

"Don't poke me, I am much more concerned about Lord Wolfy than about your overlong toothpick. And yes, they do. Hurry or we end up as food for the lordship himself." hissed Saemon.

"True enough, but it is as Vilik says: our interests here are quite different from thine. If ye choose to remain with us, then by all means do so, but at thy peril. I at least am grateful for thy aid, lady," Thorongil added with a smile. Idrial was taken aback by his sudden politeness, but he turned away to follow Saemon. "Open this hole, do they? And we shall be seen, like as not. But, thou hast much experience with opening holes," he sniggered.

Saemon sighed and kept crawling into the dark. He led them to a stuffy, dirty stairway. "Up is his Lordship, down his dungeons. Choose your way, but be quiet." he whispered.

Thorongil pulled Alagos aside and spoke in hushed tones. "Now we come to't at last. We are here, and now whither must we go? Likely any information we desire may be found in the rooms near Gurherdir -" he broke off upon seeing Saemon easing closer, with his ear fairly wiggling trying to overhear. "Come closer and I'll put me sword down ye ear, though I may mistake thy ass for thy ear - not that ye'd mind it much," he added with a snort.

It took a few moments for Idrial's eyes to adjust to the intense darkness of the place, but finally she was able to make out a few distant shapes. She brushed her hair back over her shoulder, pulling her cloak tighter about her shoulders as the chill of the dank place began to set in. She heard Thorongil and Alagos whispering a short distance away, but did not even bother to try listening in. What they said was their own business. But they'd better not be planning to leave the rest of them somewhere...or pull some equally nasty trick. The maiden folded her arms, keeping to herself for the time being as she waited for the verdict to decide which way they would go.

"Indeed, the heart of this mostrosity of a monster's lair is where we should go. Perhaps it would be best if we sent all the others in our mis-matched group off to another side of the fortress to create a diversion so that we can sneak further on. What say you?" Ash said to Aragorn.

"Aye, thou hast a sound plan," Aragorn responded. "But what shall we tell them? That Saemon at least seems like the type to pursue us for his own ends. Give them a reason - this will do: we will continue the deception I spun about Oliphaunts, tell them to go into the kitchens, which Saemon knows well, and we shall sneak into Gurherdir's main rooms."
