The Halls of Council

[Ilmare]

"So you admit that you worked intentionally over years to corrupt Eomunds mind, exactly knowing that you would overtake his realm once he would grow to weak to resist you? And that you not only slaughtered him to get his realm, you did it after you got it, just because he was going to be useless for you?" said Ilmare in a cold tone. "If you are able to work out such a cruel plan, why should anybody believe your accusations against Lord Dindaedel?"

[Faron]

"So what were you to gain from this council of evil that you attended but did not lead? And furthermore, why did Morsereg and Ilmare betray you?"

[Megloren Istdale]

"Yes. I wanted a small portion of Arnor, but I would give it to Morsereg after a time. As for their betrayal, I already told you. It is because they knew they were going to run into difficulties with the forces of light, and they obviously wanted to amke it seem like evrything was me, to clear themselves. But if you want proof, then let me see one of the Palantiri you have here and I will show you all myself."

[Glorfindel]

Glorfindel ran his hand through his hair before syaing "Non of us here no not what happened in this council , but Ilmare and you Megloren, and what would you show us in the seeing stone , " he wondered

[Faron]

"A very good question. What is it that you want to show us, before we actually let you show us?"

[Megloren Istdale]

"I am going to show you proof of course. The entire meeting in Orthanc." She looked at him. "What did you expect me to show you?"

[Faron]

"Here's an idea. Sum up the entire meeting at Orthanc in your own words, then we can look at it in the stone and perhaps the accurateness of your summary may help us to trust you."

OOC: Can palantiri show the past?

[Ilmare]

"I would prefer the King uses the palantir, not Megloren. Who knows what she is going to show us." said Ilmare.

OOC: yes, but never trust a Palantir of somebody you don't trust

[Megloren Istdale]

(Morsereg showed the future in Albesteen's palantir in the council in Arnor. If not, we can use Galadriel's Mirror in Lothlorien)

"Very well. After everyone arrived, I told of the complications of an attack on Arnor. Morsereg mearly stated how much he wanted Annuminas. I offered a plan of action, but again Morsereg came up with his own. That is basically it. A very short meeting." (And we didnt finish it either so thats why its kinda short)

[Glorfindel]

"The seeing stones can be manipualted to easyily, but how can Aragorn check it , i thiought they ciould only be accessed by people who know of that moement in time" he said

[Megloren Istdale]

"It can. I only have the ability to use it for the council meeting. But what do you have to hide, Ilmare?" Her eyes glinted. "If you are that insecure, then may I propose we use the Mirror of Galadriel for this then? The mirror cannot lie. It tell of past events."

[Ilmare]

"Oh, I admid, that I had the plan to attack Arnor. Is it that what you want to show everybody? But I don't cheat at my allies and I don't throw servants into the dumpster after I sucked them out. I slaughter them imediatly and not during years and after I got what I want." Ilmare laughed. "What Megloren? I am no saint and unlike you I have no need to pretend I were. To well do some people here know me to try that." she looked at Arwen. "But not I am the accused here but you."

[Envin]

"Neither do the palantiri of old lie. The seeing-stones of Feanor cannot be made to show that which is false. If one is of a will sufficiently potent, he may constrict what can be seen, but cannot show that which is, has been, or will never be true. I shall employ my Orthanc-Stone to the end of supporting the tale of Lady Megloren, if it will the will of the Council."

[Megloren Istdale]

"Did I say I was a saint? No. I admitted to things Im not proud of. And I am here because of you! Because you betrayed me. Of anyone here, Ilmare, you are the one who cannot be trusted. I remained true to my allies, but the two snakes of the group didnt have any honor at all. I am going to show them the entire meeting regardless of what part you played."

She then turned to Aragorn and nodded. "Please let me show you Lord Elessar."

[Ilmare]

Ilmare laughed. "Go ahead Megloren. I wasn't involved in any of your other dealings. The stone will show that. All I did I told in the white citadel already when I came here to offer my help against you. Lady Arwen and Lord Envinyatar will remember what I told them. That and not more can be shown in the seeing stone. So I do not fear anything. Keep your forked toung behind your teeth, than you might look a little prettier."
