{quite a while later...}
Aragorn enters the Houses of Healing with a shattered arm but with his pride fully intact. Accompanying him are his bride Arwen and his comrade Saeros, and they stand with him as the Healers bustle to find him a bed. He is soon settled near a window, and his arm is set and splinted. He constantly growls at the Healers, telling them to leave off, but they ignore him and set all in order. Soon, with regular treatments of steamed athelas water, his arm will mend.

"Well, dearest," Aragorn smiled as she bent down to kiss him. "I said I would not be long, did I not? And here I am back sooner than we anticipated. though I must say my arm is a bt sore. You didn't miss me, did you?" His eyes twinkled.

She smiled and kissed his twinkling eye and his nose. "I missed you. And you safed us all. I am proud of you." She gentle took the hand of his broken arm. "But you need to take care more of yourself in future. That might hurt for a while."

A single Raven flew silently through the halls of the Healing Houses until he came upon the Lord of Gondor. It dropped a note onto his lap and flew swiftly away.
M'lord,
It appears that Kili Redtears is ultimately behind these attacks upon the fortress of Angrenost. I believe in his revenge for the attacks upon the Dwarves he considered my to be a deciever and attacked out of rage. His forces came to Angrenost saying they were friends of the stronghold. When my gates were open he led his Dwarven host into a suprise attack upon my forces. Yet Angrenost was still saved- the Lord of Moria came to my aid just within my breeching limit. He claims that he was under the influence of Morsereg and once the Lord of Angmar was destroyed, he was free. Kili threatened to return to Angrenost with a mustered Dwarven Force, even stronger than the first. It is only in self-defence that I must aid Garland in the seige of the Iron Hills. All Dwarves will be spared their lives, M'Lord, trust me. No civilians will be harmed.
All is going well.
Most regards, Megloren Istdale- Mistress of Angrenost

Aragorn smiled at his wife and returned the kiss, the scruff of his unkempt beard tickling her and making her giggle.
"Well, if that Dindaedel had not been such a dastardly fellow, then the arm might not be broken. Of course, if he had not lost his temper, then he might have kept his cool and slain me. That would be a tragedy," he added, smiling. Then he saw the raven come speeding through the halls, and glancing up he took the parchment and quickly perused it. Then he passed it to Arwen, and when she was done and turned to him again he said "Well, this is interesting. Kili attack Megloren, when the Iron Hills were at least loosely in our alliance? And Moria under Morsereg's influence, eh? Well, I can do naught to stop her now. At least she is attacking to preserve her realm, I suppose."

Arwen shoke her head. "Its weird, but well if Kili really lost his mind and attacks Isengard... I wished we had proof for that. But otherwise, Megloren saw what happened to Ilmare. Would she do mischief after that?" She layed the message aside and kissed Aragorn softly. "Anyway, as long as you have not to run to the Iron hills and aid the one or the other, I am happy to have you here. And your arm needs rest anyway."

A messenger from Imladris found Saeros who stood outside in the courtyard of the houses. "Enedwaith is taken by Lord Garland of Moria," he said breathless. Saeros chin droped down. "What? Taken? Where are the men?" "They made for Rivendell. Your Steward managed it to retreat without losses." Saeros slammed one hand against a treetrunk. "So he managed it? Very well. Go back and tell my skilled Steward I wish to see him when I am coming back. Lord Garland of Moria you say?" He left the messenger and knocked at the door where Aragorn and Arwen still lingered. "Lord Aragorn, I am sorry to disturb you, but I need to talk about a serious matter with you. Please let me know when we can speak." He said and turned back to leave the room.

Aragorn kissed Arwen in return.
"Nay, I shall not leave thee yet, vanimelda, though once I am well I shall have a journey to take northward alone. The final words of Morsereg leave me with a task to perform." He glanced at Saeros when he entered. "Speak good my friend, if my wife does not object. There are no secrets between her and I - thou mayest speak freely."

Saeros turned back to him. "Of course, I didn't want to interrupt you. I got word that Lord Garland overun Enedwaith and took it for his own. Wasn't he supposed to be an allie to Gondor and Moria one of the free realms? Well, he assaulted me and it seems my Steward was so overhelmed by his forces, that he didn't tried to withstand but retreated to Imladris with all of the host what was was left, while we faught here at your side."

Aragorn was nettled and concerned by this message, and musingly he said that "If Garland hath indeed done this deed, then it would appear to my mind that he is traitor. Damn, but life is filled with them these days past. Yet Garland hath e'er been an ally to Gondor and Enedwaith. Why this sudden turning, have ye heard any reports?"

Saeros shoke his head. "No, my Lord. The messenger didn't tell me. But once I am back in Rivendell, my Steward might. He has to explain why he retreated and what Lord Garland said to him."

"Very well," Aragorn grudgingly responded. "Get thee to Rivendell, if thou wilt, and learn what thou can. An it please thee, inform me of thy findings so I may choose the course of Gondor. Farewell."

"I will" Saeros said, bowed to Lady Arwen and left. He took his steed at the same evening to return to Imladris. The way he had to choose was dangerous now and he went in secret not to be trapped by Lord Garlands men, who supposingly controlled now the complete misty mountains and their passages.

Arwen looked at Aragorn. "One evil defeated shows up the next one. How many treators we will find? Vaire, Ilmare, now Garland? Who is next? Are all our allies traitors? And the only evil which wasn't traitorous is death. I would laugh if I wouldn't feel sad about how everything turned out with Morsereg."
