Legolas wasn't sure what to say. He'd always known what to say to her...but now... Perhaps the simple realization of their being married was what puzzled him. It was different, and though better than what he could hope for, this new feeling was one of confusion...

E'vesash laughed at this new expression and tilted her head as would a curious puppy. "What is that look for?" She stepped back and placed her hands on her hips as she watched him and awaited an answer.

A faint smile appeared on his face as Legolas imitated Evy's curious manner. He crossed his arms and gave her a inquiring look. "Look? And what look...my dear...is that?'

E'vesash laughed and folded her own arms as she shook her head. "That bewildered expression." She glanced toward the balcony as a bird fluttered by, but it was soon gone and she returned her gaze to Legolas with a smirk. "You haven't already forgotten who I am have you?" She asked jokingly.

Legolas smiled, putting a finger to his head, as if trying to remember. "I do believe something along the lines of a marriage, or some other corresponding relationship..."

E'vesash laughed softly and nodded her head. "Yes, something along those lines." The maiden seated herself upon the soft couch and ran her hand along its material briefly. "How did you come to aquire such a beautiful place?"

Legolas smiled, seating himself opposite Evy on a lounge chair. "Well...I had some advice...from someone I knew would have a rough idea of what you would like..."

E'vesash's smile widened at this statement and she raised a brow curiously. "Oh, and who might that be?" She leaned forward, wondering very much of whom Legolas was speaking.

Legolas smiled, leaning back, relaxing as if pretending not to care about the matter. "A friend... A very good friend..."

E'vesash's eyes narrowed slightly as she attempted to think of whom Legolas could possibly be speaking. "And how would this very good friend know what I would like...?" She asked, trying to pin down his answer.

Legolas smiled. So far he felt he had his wife absolutely perplexed, but once he revealed who it was, he was even more certain she would attempt to throw him off the balcony. "Well my love, he was too drunk to speak straight, but he said something about being the King's baker..."
Legolas could contain his composure no longer and soon was laughing quietly at his own little joke. He moved across the room, taking a seat next to Evy, putting an arm around her as he explained.
"Nay...I speak in jest. It was all my doing... Who else would know you well enough to feel confident in deciding such things?"

E'vesash laughed and gave a slight nod of her head. "I suppose no one else would know me well enough." She looked about once more. "Though I must say that you did a superb job picking out every detail." She smiled and rested her hand upon the arm of the seat.

Legolas returned her smile, but a slight frown appeared on his face. "It's not complete though Evy... It lacks a woman's touch..."

E'vesash laughed. "Well, certainly there is something we can do about that." She paused and looked around the room with a sigh. "But not right now," she added. She let her head come to rest lightly upon his shoulder as the crickets took up their nightly duty of chirping outside across the landscape. It was a soothing sound...as were many of the sounds of the night.

Legolas turned his head to see outside. The stars shone with their brilliant light, twinkling overhead as they made their course that night. It was everything he had wanted...they had wanted... To be together, there could be nothing better...
"It's a beautiful night now... Nothing can surpass what we enjoy now..."
