(After our return from Moria. Cool?)
Aragorn and Saeros sat in a pub in Minas Tirith and drunk a couple mugs of ale together. They were talking about their recent adventures and suddenly Aragorn asked his comrade if he would like to have a little bit excercise in swordfight with him. The elve grinned and said, he would be pleased.
They took up their mugs and weapons and went into the courtyard of the pub, while the guests hang in the windows to see their fight.

Aragorn tossed back the last few gulps of ale in a swig, then strutted outside the inn, throwing his mug to the boy. The guests began to mill about the walls of the courtyard - 'twas no every day that a good fight such as this would be seen. Many placed wagers and bets on the outcome. And of course the ale flowed in liberal amounts, for this contest was drawing people in from the streets by the score, and mine good host was swift to foster amiability.
Aragorn took up a place near the rear of the courtyard, and with little ceremony drew his pale sword Anduril, then grinning at his comrade he motioned him forward.

Saeros grinned broadly at Aragorns ceremony and drew atself his elven swordl. The shiny blade caught the light when he raised the blade in a greeting to Aragorn. Then he went into the traditional attack position, awaiting Aragorns first strike.

Aragorn was going to be polite and let the challenger fight first, but since Saeros was so unswervingly politick, he darted in first, his long dwarven steel singing, and feinted first a lunge at Saeros' left arm, then spun fully about and went for his leg while his arm flew high at the good Elf's teeth.

Saeros reactions were quite fast, when he wheeled his blade to the left to block Anduril and followed it with its spun to meet it before it reached his leg. He raised his left arm and stopped the hit of Aragorn right before his face and used the arm of Aragorn to push himself into a spun by wheeling the elven blade against his comrads waist.

Aragorn grunted, but grinned at how swiftly his comrade reacted to his attack. Mayhap he should defend more than attack this Elf. He spun away just as Saeros did, Aragorn leaping backward as he did so, and landing in a swirl of dust on the tile of the yard. He brought up his blade in a swift turn, holding it ready at his shoulder and waiting on Saeros.

Saeros sword didn't wait long to charge again towards Aragorn. The elve darted forward, and aimed two swift turns of his blade at his comrads chest from either side, forcing him into defence. The two broad blades clang together in the pleasant sharp sound of wheeled steel.

Aragorn was forced back a pace by the swift strength of Saeros' twin attacks, but he knocked back the first, then spun about gathering his weight to meet the second of them. Sparks flew from the two blades as they ground together, but the studry build of the Man overpowered the light and lithe Elf, and Saeros was thrown backward by the force of Aragorn's arm. Then the King leapt high and spun about in the air, aiming a perfect strike at Saeros's swordarm as he flew past.

Saeros backed off with a swift jump, but Anduril cut the fabric of his shirt. "Whoho, carefull Aragorn. You need my swordarm mayhaps sometimes," he chuckled.

Aragorn chuckled. "Perhaps so," he acknowledged. "But first allow me to see how good it is. Rumour has it that it is sorely lacking," he teased, stepping back and bouncing from foot to foot, awaiting the Elf's next play.

Saeros grinned at his comrad and made a swift dart forward with a speedy double thrust aimed to both sides of Aragorn.

Aragorn managed to bring up his sword in enough time to deflect the first of Saeros' blows, but the second whipped around his defense sooner than he had foreseen, and he must perforce lift up his heavy studded leather bracer to stop the swing. The armor held, though the force of the blow rolled him aside. He did not leap up right away, however, but crouched low and swung at Saeros' knees, and while that stroke was still in play he leapt high into the air and kicked at Saeros' face.

Saeros noticed the swung of Anduril to his knees and spun backwards. The foot of Aragorn hit his chest within the spin and left a heavy bruise on his sternum. The elve cought when he arrived the ground, but charged his sword again swiftly toward Aragorns swordarm.

Aragorn leapt backward, and caught Saeros' blade with a swift turn of his sword, and cast the Elf's thrust aside to his right, then followed the stroke into a spin and brought Anduril soaring around with his full weight behind it at Saeros' right side.

Saeros managed it to bring his blade up shortly before Anduril reached him. The steel met each other in a bright sound, but the blow was heavy and pushed him a good deal to the left. "Whohoow, do you want to chop me into pieces?" Searos laughed, freed his sword from Aragorns and made a quick sidestep turn half around his comrad, aiming for Aragorns lower backside in a smoot sideward thrust.
