"Only two or three large ones, 'twill not be overpainful," Aragorn grinned at Saeros. But while he taunted his foe the good Elf landed his stroke right in the small of Aragorn's back, and the King howled with the sting. Fortunately, the strike was with the flat of the blade and hurt but little, but it stung horribly where it slapped against his chain mail.

Saeros backed off. "I am sorry, Aragorn, did that hurt a little bit?" he asked with a crafty smirk and got back in position for the next strike of his comrade.

"No, no - not at...all," Aragorn grunted as he rather skipped about the yard in a small circle, illiciting more than few chuckles from the onlookers. "Well, I admire a man than can best me, but thou shalt be hard pressed to do that once more!" And he rushed at Saeros, Anduril lifted on high to career down, but at the last possible moment, after Saeros had brought up his defense, Aragorn dove into a roll and sped beneath Saeros' guard. Coming up behind the Elf, Aragorn struck out wide in a swing behind him, catching Saeros smartly upon the small of his own back. The King leapt up with a smug glance of satisfaction. "Stings, no?"

Saeros grunted when the kings sword flat side reached his back and punched the mail against his flesh. Indeed it stung incredible and he he turned towards Aragorn and set up a faked grin. "Just a little", he said between gritted teeth and charged forward in a double swing aiming for the kings sides but when Aragorn raised his blade to bock his second, Saeros directed his sword towards his shoulder.

Caught by surprise, Aragorn must perforce bend nearly completely backward over himself to let Saeros' blade soar over him, and even so the tip of the sword still managed to catch the cloth and the mail, throwing the King off balance. Only just did he manage to keep himself from falling to the ground, but with his last remaining balance threw himself into an attack, sending five quick strikes at the Elf, then spinning about and letting five more fly.

Saeros got busy to block the blows. Aragorns movements were quick for a human and even for numenorian kind. And with the last strike Anduril broke his defense and slammed with the flat side into Saeros side beneath his raised swordarm. The ribbs below the chainmail ached and Saeros lost his breath for a moment, but then he wheeled again against his comrade and with his elegant elvish style he send himself five quick strikes at Aragorn, circled swift like a wild predator surround him and added the next five speeded strikes, pushing his comrad into defence.

Aragorn smiled when his stroke went home, but his grin was replaced by gritted determination when the lithe Elf put himself on the attack, and his slender frame spun in wild but controlled career about the King. Easily enough he blocked the first set of Saeros' strikes, and saw him leap around to continue his hail of blows. Aragorn did not turn about, but with amazing presence of mind swung Anduril blindly behind him and caught Saeros's first swing, and then leapt forward without turning first, and then spun about to meet the successive strikes. He blocked them with but barely enough speed to match his foe, and his arms ached from the rapid movements, so he backed himself a pace to continue his defense.

Saeros was speeding up his blows even more when he noticed that his comrade had a hard time to keep up with his rythm. He kept moving surround Aragorn, striking one after the other without a break and with a stunning lightness, even every attack was made with a serious force. He aimed for Aragorns shoulders, his waist and his back also, but the kings defense was well set and even he may have gotten weary, he was still deflecting Saeros blade without a failure. Saeros searched for a gap in Aragorns defense and found a tiny one after a while when Saeros thrusted toward Aragorns lower chest in a swift sideward blow and found Aragorns armpit exposed. He stoped the charge close before his blade met Anduril again and pulled it up aiming with the dull side of his sword to the his comrades armpit.

Aragorn grunted when Saeros' quick stroke struck home, the edge of the blade not meeting his flesh, but such was the force of the blow that the skin broke and bled down his arm. He smiled at the Elf and nodded his approval of the swift turn in attack, but just as Saeros ended the blow and began to pull back his sword, Aragorn lashed out with his arm and caught the blade against his stout leathern bracer, and hurled the weapon aside, swinging Anduril one-handed at Saeros' legs, while at once he kicked high, just above Saeros' head, in the hopes the Elf would leap to avoid the sword.

More concerned about the shiny blade than the comrades kick Saeros leaped indeed, but he hold his head low and the foot of Aragorn hit his forehead instead of his face. The blow was heavy enough to see some stars and break the skin and blood was running over his face when he landed on both feet after his leap. But the skull of an elve is tough and not easily broken. Saeros wheeled just after reaching the ground again against his comrad and didn't lack any of his speed in the next double blow.

Aragorn swiftly met the first of Saeros' blows with the keen edge of Anduril, and as the Elf's blade spun to the attack again, he met that stroke with the sole of his heavy boot and sent the sword flying back. Then he swung at Saeros' left arm, but pulled back at the last instant, brought Anduril about, and crashed him down at Saeros' legs.

Saeros pulled his left side away to avoid the swing against his arm and realised to late that he exposed his right leg to Anduril, when the longsword of the king came down. The sword hit his leg fortunately with the flat side, otherwise he had lost his limb. But the force was strong enough to break the skin and squeeze the flesh down to the aching bone. Saeros yelled for pain, but used also this chance to swing his sword powerfull against Aragorns left side.

Aragorn began to roll just as Saeros swung, so that by the time the blade met him, he had nearly dropped to the earth, and the sword merely glanced off his strong shoulder armor. With a great and harsh ring the steel sang wide, and Aragorn emerged from his roll, and brought Anduril about to hit Saeros' left side, but at the last instant, after the Elf was ready to defend with his own blade, dropped Anduril and leapt at Saeros to tackle him. The Elf was surprised at this change of attack, as it seemed that Aragorn would grapple him.

Saeros was surprised indeed, dropped his sword and dived swiftly out of reach of Aragorns arms, curious what his comrade was up to, but not willing to get into a wrestling with this stoud man.
