Legolas nodded, his eyes staring, pleading, entreating. He felt as if his whole life, everything he had ever held worthwhile, might be hanging in the balance here, in a small pub so far away from his own home, his own kind, but here sat one whom he would sacrifice anything for.
"E'vesash, you could despise me as the worst creature on earth, to reprimand, scorn, mock and abandon me, but it could never change my love for you. I will always love you..."

E'vesash reached up and finally lowered her hood. There was no more reason to hide...not now. She blinked a few times to rid her eyes of the tears that threatened to overflow. After taking a few deeper breaths, she leaned forward to rest her hands on top of the wood. "I had thought that the wall I'd built around my heart was too high to scale...to thick to tunnel through. But you have scaled it...my love for you has not diminished as I once thought, but is perhaps even stronger."

Legolas put his hand on hers, gripping them firmly, gazing upon her face, radiating with warmth and beauty.
"I have always loved you E'vesash. I will go to whatever lengths you require to earn your trust."

E'vesash looked down at his hand upon hers. "You have already earned it." She glanced up, allowing her gaze to meet his own before lingering briefly on the place where the necklace was tucked beneath his tunic. Her hands trembled slightly beneath his grip, and she turned her attention to Arwen...motioning in that direction with her head. "That is the Lady Arwen...is it not?" She whispered questioningly.

"Yes, Arwen, wife of Aragorn, the king of Gondor. She has dwelt here in the city only since the War of the Ring, and even now she is a newcomer."
Legolas felt Evy's hands shaking slightly, showing her nervous anxiety.
"E'vesash, Aragorn has give me leave to go to Ithilien, with many of my kin from Mirkwood, to live as a new people, there as we dwell in Middle-Earth, free from the threat of war...for a time. E'vesash...would you come with me?"

E'vesash bowed her head slightly in a positive response. "Yes, I will go." She slipped one hand from his grip to push a few stray strands of hair back from her face. "There we can renew and rebuild the bond that was broken between us." She lowered her emerald eyes to the table. "Forgive me for hiding from you...I feared what a reunion would bring."

Legolas shook his head, rubbing her hand with slow motions of both of his.
"No, it is I who should ask your forgiveness. I am at fault, for leaving, for not coming back to seek for you, when I should have been the one to come back."

"Do not blame yourself," the elven maid said softly, "for we are both at fault. Let us put it in the past and leave it there where it belongs." She looked down at her hand in his. E'vesash wondered what her life held for her. It was certainly full of twists and turns, many of them she did not want to take. But right now she had a chance to be happy once more and had to take it, no matter what doubts lingered in the back of her mind.

Legolas felt a stirring tension inside his heart, pounding, throbbing, threatening to tear him apart at the first chance, but he lifted his gaze towards her, calling her name softly. "E'vesash..."
As she lifted her eyes, he felt a flow of energy rip through his veins with her piercing glance.
"E'vesash, I was foolish not to ask before, but I do so now, and hope that it is not too late for you to forgive me, and perhaps even hearken at my call. E'vesash...will you marry me?"
The words were slow to come to his mouth, but he felt a sense of relief when they were finally uttered. He removed a ring, of silver, pure and flawless, set with an emerald, and two diamonds, encompassing its shape, shining with radiance and purety. He had carried it long, since he had set his mind on asking her, someday, soon.... But that day had passed long ago, yet here it came, once more, knocking at his door, and crying out.

E'vesash gasped softly as the question was asked and the ring was procured. She looked down at it for a moment before meeting his gaze. "I will." She whispered, the words nearly inaudible to her own ears. A single tear slipped from its place and began its descent down her cheek, but she did not brush it away. Evy smiled slightly at him, unable to break her gaze from his.

Legolas smiled, amazed at how soothing those two words were. He felt complete, like he thought he should have been, long ago. Leaning over the table, slowly, he gave a kiss, feeling his joy flow over to her. Then, he simply sat there, watching her, loving her. He slowly slid the ring onto her finger, holding her hand tightly, not willing to let go.
"E'vesash, I love you..."

Lady Ilmare entered the Pub and her gaze went over the guests, until she noticed Lady Arwen close to the fireplace. She went over to her and sat down on the chair next to her. "If you don't mind," she said quitly and smirked. She noticed the glance of Arwen upon her and laughed. "Thank you for comming. I thought you wouldn't leave the citadel anymore. A little bird in a golden cage, like you always were."

Arwen looked at her in disgust. "No cage, Ilmare. You never understood, how can I think you will learn it now. What is it, which brings you to Minas Tirith and why should I come and meet you here? You could have all said in front of my husband. He will get informed anyway of what we are speaking."

"Neither this nor the other. But I will tell him what we are speaking of, be sure about that. So what is it, you wanted to talk with me about?" Arwen felt very uneasy to sit at this table with Ilmare. She knew how mean and black hearted this women was and this whole conspirativity didn't pleased her at all.
