E'vesash tilted her head, holding back a sigh of relief as she got away with the name change. There was no need to give away her real identity. The people here didn't need to know. "Well, for that I am glad." She said to Legolas in response to his comments about the king and his city. "My..." She was about to say something about her steed, but said nothing of it. Perhaps some stones were better left unturned. Azen would be able to last the night where he was without the attentions of others. "It is a fine city indeed." Evy said instead.
(I think it would be fun if they already knew each other, but E'vesash didn't want to be found out...though I haven't figured out why. Lol. But whatever...I don't really mind!)

Legolas caught something suddenly in her brief exclamation, but it faded as she changed the subject. He could sense some apprehension, but perhaps this lady would rather not be asked about it.
"Yes, but I myself seldom venture here. In fact, I only remain here until I leave for Ithilien. Where are you from...Tamera?"
(That would be funny, though after how many times they talked, it wouldn't be long till he figured something out.)

E'vesash leaned foward slightly as Legolas continued to speak. She shifted slightly, adjusting her hood. "You're leaving for Ithilien?" She sipped from her water before continuing, without waiting for an answer. "I'm...I'm from Rivendell." At least there was one area in this conversation that she hadn't lied.
(True...lol. So, what do you wanna do?)

Legolas felt his curiosity aroused by the mention of Rivendell. Perhaps because of his dwelling there himself, but maybe...
"Rivendell? Yes, Ithilien is my home now. Mirkwood is no longer my affair, as it once was."
(Well, I like the idea of playing along the lines of them knowing each other from previously.)

E'vesash nodded. "Yes, Rivendell." She swallowed, closing her eyes briefly knowing he couldn't see it through the shadows of her the hood of her cloak. Why had she come here...she should have known something like this would happen. She glanced once more in the direction of the departing three men...knowing they'd been scared off by Legolas and hoping they weren't waiting around somewhere. She pushed those thoughts from her head, fiddling with her cup, trying to figure a way out of this whole situation.

Legolas saw the light behind her cloak fade, showing nothing but her hands, still pale in the light, shaking slightly, fidgeting nervously. He could almost feel the disturbed, frightened face behind her hood, silent...hiding.
Leaning forward, Legolas whispered quietly, "If you like, I will take you to your staying place, if you have already procurred one."
Legolas said nothing, but suddenly issued a single sentence. To any stranger it would mean nothing, but he sensed something, that he had not felt for so long... "Where can I find Azen?"

Lady Arwen came into the Pub and sat down in the corner close by the fireplace. Her glance went over the guests and she noticed Lord Legolas and an elven woman. She smiled at them and when the innkeeper came to her table she ordered hot spiced wine.

Evy's head rose sharply at Legolas' words. A short gasp was caught in her throat and she glanced toward the doorway. "I know naught of what you speak." She said hastily in response to his question about her horse...still believing she could find a way out of this situation. Her emerald eyes glanced to the side as another entered the inn and seated herself at a table. So this was the Lady Arwen. E'vesash had seen her before but never met her. And she had definitely heard of her.

The innkeeper brought the hot spiced whine and left. Arwen took a sip and kept watching the guests from her corner. Interested she listened to the discussions at the other tables and needed to prevent a laughter for some of the themes. She pretended not to listen and drunk a little bit more of her wine.

And she had definitely heard of her. Legolas watched the eyes flicker to life at the mention of the name. Slowly, he removed a long chain, and at the end, a star, suspened, slowly swinging, glowing with an emerald, set in its center. Legolas set the necklace down slowly, watching the light the stone, before scanning the light behind the dark cloak. They were there, the same as ever, but hiding from him now. "Do you not? Perhaps you have heard another name, seldom used. I know it as, E'vesash."

Evy's breath quickened and her brow furrowed as she concentrated on the table top. "Stop." She said simply and desperately as she looked about. "Why do you seek to hurt me so?" She slid her cup to the center of the table, preparing to rise up and leave.

Legolas put his hand on hers, holding it down, gently but firmly.
"I've never tried to hurt you...E'vesash. I promised to protect you didn't I? Are you casting that away now?"

E'vesash lifted her gaze from the table to meet his...her own filled with sadness and frustration. "No I do not cast it away. But that was a time ago." She slipped her hand from beneath his and closed her eyes briefly before reaching out to touch the jewel in the necklace.

Legolas' face hardened, his eyes narrowing, distinct, yet bearing grief. He slowly lifted the jeweled piece, clasping it around his neck, fingering it once before tucking it beneath his cloak.
"It was indeed, though I wish I could once more relive that time, full of joy, peace, and happiness. I am sorry E'vesash, sorry that you feel as such. You will always have my heart, even if you can no longer offer yours to me. Our paths have crossed once more by fate Evy. I had hoped it would be so, once again, but I can only speak for myself. My path would always lie beside yours, if you wished it to be so..."

E'vesash swallowed, her eyes staring off into a time not so very long ago. She felt very near tears, but kept any from spilling over. She had tried to distance herself from any feelings for another being. She thought she desired to be alone. Love would lead to nothing but grief in the end...for it would end. Evy bit her lip and turned her gaze to meet Legolas'. She was glad for the loud conversations in the room that blotted out their own. "You would want my heart still?"
