Galathirion flew into the trees of Mirkwood and perched on a limb just outside of Ohtar's Pub and Inn. He had a letter dangling from his leg that read:
Lady Elf,
You were correct. War has come to Middle Earth. I am trapped between Angmar, Moria, Enedwaith, and Isengard wich are now more of a threat than ever before. Lothlorien, home to your kin, and Rohan have allied with me aswell as Gondor. I fear they alone cannot aid me in our stand against the darkness. It seems that after Sauron's departure every dark force is struggling for dominance and the least dangerous are more dangerous than ever. I pleed for your aid! Send scouts to Arnor's borders and place them all throughout Rhovanion. The West of Middle Earth may soon be in great peril. We must protect ourselves but we cannot do it alone. Please.
~Sincerely Doren, King of Arnor~

It was well past midnight when Lord Garland finally made his way into the Elvish city. He was pleased to see a welcoming light still glowing in the pub and he made his way there quickly as a light rain began falling. He approached the bar and made arrangements for a room and a stall for his horse before making his way to a booth and sank down into the chair.

The next morning it was hazy outside from the rain. Siranna hung her damp cloak and noticed the man. She figured he had passed out drunk but checked to make sure. She walked over to him and touched his shoulder. "Excuse me." She said to him.

Garland was startled when he awoke in the booth. He turned his stiff neck to the lady that woke him. Blinking as his eyes adjusted to the light he replied. "I am sorry, I must have dozed off..... What time is it?!"

"Just midmorning. Are you ok my lord?" She asked the man.

Garland smoothed out the wrinkles on his tunic and straightened his hair a bit. "I am well, thank you, though I had no intention of spending the night in this booth." As his eyes fully adjusted he gazed out the window, guessing he had slept there some six odd hours. Looking back at the Lady he smiled, remembering his manners. "Forgive me of my rudeness, My Lady. I am Garland. How do you do?"

"Very well, I thank thee. I am Siranna. Mind if I sit?" She gestured to the seat across from her.

Garland motioned for her to have a seat. "Pleasure meeting you, Siranna. By all means, sit."

Siranna gave a smile and sat. "So what has brought you here my lord?" She asked.

Garland replied. "I have traveled here to seek an audience with the Queen of this fair forest." He paused a moment then asked. "Perhaps you would be kind enough to instruct me as to where her grace could be found?"

"Tell me, why do you wish to speak to her?" Since he didn't seem to know she figured she'd play to know what he'd want.

Garland laughed, "You are the inquisitive one, arn't you! Very well, I will tell you. My journey has taken me from my home to Gondor, Lothlorien, and now here to Mirkwood. Here, as in my previous two stops, I am seeking friendship and alliance between our realms." He smiled, "Now, has my intention passed the test? Will you show me to the Queen?"

"Yes and you may have the alliance." She smiled wondering if he'd be at all confused.
