Heh, I had an interesting idea... When all of this is over, and either side wins, why not go and make an Age of Beleriand roleplay? It would be freeform, just like now, but would simply take place in Beleriand! It just gets boring with the same old realms... Gondor, Rohan, Mordor.... It's just... blah sometimes.

For Beleriand everything would be new and exciting!

You could add it to this board, perhaps? But I definitely would the First Age is magnificent myths, and grand, and tragic. I'm not saying this isn't but some of the writing in the Sil is sheer epic.

I think some of the chqaracters in the first age could cause a bit of problems like morgoth , Fingolfin etc ( all very powerfull, and it owukld be hard to say whats god mod and whats not seeing as the elves were strong and even the orcs were pretty good)

Well, like I said, it would be freeform. Like we have Alcorad ruling Mordor right now after Mordor was clearly destroyed during the War of the Ring.

We wouldn't have to base it directly off of Tolkien's works character-wise, but if people wanted to use those chars, then by all means!

There was no need for that Lancir. I believe 'twas you in the saybox who said 'I will be the bigger man and stop' so then please do so.

For those who have not read the book, they would just have to learn as they go along. Like I said, this isn't canon, so it isn't like they would have to catch up on all of Beleriand's history.

Oh, and yeh, I'm pretty sure Mordor was only destroyed in the movies, cause if I read correctly, I'm pretty sure Minas Morgul was recaptured as Minas Ithil again and all the old Gondorian towers were Gondorian again. Pretty sure Mordor still stands in the Tolkien-verse.

No, Mordor wasn't destroyed, although I'm not sure it would have ever been a place people wanted to live! I don't think any-one's bored, and I'd certainly do First Age anywhere, or play a FA character, even if they died, no problem.
