Valdrik was in his study, scouring over reports from the front concerning the construction progress of his wall in the newly aquired West-March. A servant entered quietly and bowed. 'M'lord, you have a visitor. He claims he comes from the north.' Valdrik noded and shuffled the parchments into a neat pile and stood from his desk, moving towards the hearth where there where plush armchairs. He motioned the man off, "Go, usher my guest to me."

The servant came back and said " My lord will see you now " witht hat the man led Murazor through a seris of passage ways until they came to a room filled iwth parchment and books , there the servant dissappeared back into the shadows of the hall way and left Murazor with Valdrik. To disscuss alliances.

Valdrik poured himself and his guest a drink and motioned for the man to sit. He handed Murazor the glass before sititng himself and taking a sip. "Welcome to Enedwaith, friend." He studied the man curiously. "Might I ask your name and why you have travelled to see me?"

Murazor sipped a bit of the wine and savoured the taste before annswering th eman he looked round the room until he focused on the matter at hand , the reason had come here. " I seek an alliance between Arnor and Enedwaith, dont worry the lord Arathorn is .. under control shall we say"

Valdrik paused, hiding his suprise of the man's reply. "I am to take it that Lord Arathorn is under your control then?" He paused for a moment, sipping at his drink. "This comes rather as a suprise to me." Looked over the man, still not knowing whom he was speaking with. "I should like to know your name at least before we speak of things such as alliance."

"Well in the North they call me Thili , and yours would be?" he said although he had asked about him he found out quite abit in the bars and from travellers who he disposed of shortly after getting the required information.

"Valdrik." He replied. "Though, you no doubt knew that already, hence your comming here." He crossed his legs and sank back into his chair. "Would you mind entertaining me, Thili, and explain to me how you have come to represent, or in your words, 'control' the King of Arnor."

Valdrik thought on the mans words. These events were strange indeed and he was not expecting an offer of alliance from his northern nieghbor... especially since there had been conflicts over where their border lie in the past. Valdrik would not let this opportunity pass though. "Well, if you indeed to represent Arnor now, and if it is my alliance you request, then perhaps we can clarify where the border of our realms lies. It has long been contested, but, I believe the River Brandywine to be the mark that seperates us. If you are prepared to conceede that this is indeed the border of our realms, then I will gladly accept an alliance with Arnor."

Valdrik smiled. "Well then, with that settled, I see no reason we that we cannot ally with one another." He downed his drink and stood to pour another, talking to the man as he did so. "Tell me, is there some reason that Arnor now needs Enedwaith as an ally? Are there some plans of war in the making?"

"Yes we move for Erebor , we seem to have a new dwarf pest , we are tyring to track him down and in the process all the Dwarf realms will surcum to our control , your welcome to come and follow. My first target is the lonely mountain"

Valdrik looked at the man skeptically. The Lonely mountain was far far away, and he saw no use for the place. "What incentive is there for me to help you in this attack?" He asked calmly then awaited an answer.

Valdrik considered these things for a moment before responding. "Perhaps Erebor is the threat you claim it to be... then again, perhaps it is not. I have two enemies much nearer, my friend. And, with my recent dealings with Rohan, if they saw weakness here in Enedwaith it is not unimaginable that they would sieze the opportunity to attack and take back the lands that I have so recently added to my own. However, though I will not send my force to Erebor along with you, I shall keep a watchfull eye over Arnor and free you to take a larger host than you would if having to worry about your own borders. Would this not be acceptable to you?"
