Anwyn made her way through the intertwined streets of Edoras, seeking out one home in particular. Villagers stopped and bowed to her and she half heartedly acknoledeged this, not that she meant to be rude or disrespectful, only that her mind was in a much different place at this time. Reaching the home of the door of the newest Captain of the Rohirrim, she reached out to knock but hesisated her hand lowering slightly, there was an air of grim determination about her. Sighing she raised her hand and gave 3 short raps upon the door and awaited her answear.

Aidan was eating his lunch of bread, meat, and fruit while studying a map of Rohan when he heard the knocks on his door. He grumbled slightly at being disturbed, but he assumed that the visitor had come with a reason. He opened the door. Seeing who it was, he bowed low. "My queen, what brings you here?" he said straightening up. his blue eyes shone with curiosity.

"Greetings Aidan" Anwyn said warmly bowing to him respectfully "Would you mind if I entered?" she asked looking behind her "I would prefer not to talk on the street"

"Oh" Aidan stepped aside to let her in "forgive my rudeness queen Anwyn" he shut the door when she walked in. "How may I be of assistance?"

Anwyn walked into the home and removed her robe throwing it over the back of a chair, she noticed the half eaten meal upon the table and turned to Aidan with an applogetic look "I applogize that I interupted your meal. But I came to you to ask of your assitance. With all that has happened in Rohan the last fortnight, I have began to realize an important fact...I cannot be in all places at once. I have no Children, no one to look after the affairs of Rohan in my stead if something were to happen. So I come before to ask, nay beg that you watch over the people of this country if for any reason I am not longer able."

His face turned grim. "Aye...I have heard of what has happened. These are dark times." he looked at his half eaten meal, then back to Anwyn "do not worry, you can talk to me anytime. I will of course watch over the people of this country, it is my duty." a semi confused look came across his face "I am not quite sure what you meant when you asked me to watch over the people of the country if you were no longer able."

Anwyn smiled sadly "Over the last few days I have seen more death then most people will in a life time my friend. It has faced me to come to terms with my own mortality. I am not an Elf blessed with eternity. If something were to happen, I would want to know that Rohan would not fall, that they are lead out of the darkness"

"My lady, what are you suggesting?" asked Aidan. His adrenaline was up, why was she talking like this? She was speaking like she was to be executed.

Anwyn saw the tenseness and layed a calming hand upon his shoulder "Do not fear my friend, for I do not plan on going anywhere just yet" she said with a smile trying to calm him. It is just...." she sighed, there was no way she could explain what truely troubled her "I worry for the safety of all as a mother worries for the safety of her children. I feel as though every death, every man lost in battle is upon my head. It is...rather complicated" she finished weakly.

Aidan shook his head "not at all, I know exactly how you feel." he found that he could not look her in the eyes, he looked out the window at the villagers walking around and whispering of the rumors that had emerged of late. "I have lost many friends in battle. I drink with them one day, and the next they die." he said with a mix of anger and sadness

Anwyn lowered her hand, feeling as though she had made him uncomftable and clasped them in front of her "They serve me to the death, I do not wish for such vailant men to fall at my orders. For I am the one to tell there families they did not ride back, I have seen the tears in a young brides eyes..." turning she hastily wiped away a tear from the corner of her eye.

It was Aidan who now put a comforting hand on her shoulder "That takes great strength and courage to do." he smiled a little sadly "it is very honorable for a Rohirrim to die in battle, we are raised with that knowledge."

"I know but-" Feeling rather foolish, wiping away more tears that had sprung to her eyes she silently chided herself for such a childish response, It was very much unbecoming of a queen "From a young age...Girls are taught that to have a husband die in war, is an honour upon his home and family. Perhaps it is to some...but that is a cold comfort to his family during there time of grief. I am sorry" she said with a forced laugh, trying to compose herself hurriedly. Such displays were left for private, when no one could see her in such a state.

"It is ok my queen, I am seeing things through a different perspective now" he said feeling stupid that he had expressed a one-way idea. "Do not worry."
