Rhiannon continued to look on from where she stood at the side of the street. She bit her lowerlip nervously as she glanced around. No one else was in sight. Perhaps this was her chance to get away. Rhiannon remembered what the fellow had said about slitting her throat. If only she could get a chance to prove her innocence. There had to be a way. Rhiannon shook her head, willing such thoughts out of her mind for the moment as she weighed the opportunity before her. Both men were focused on each other. Now would be the perfect chance to slip away unnoticed. Rhiannon might not get another. If only her hands weren't tied behind her back. Things would be a lot easier. She moved her arms and winced with pain from her fall.
Rhiannon decided. Glancing back over her shoulder, she began to step backwards slowly and silently. Then, as soon as she got the chance, she slipped around the corner and began to make her way down the street -- away from her captor.
