I know it looks unrealistic posting all over the site, when, like me, you're supposed to be based in Harad. Is it okay to do it, if we state within the post that this ( in Lorien or Arnor etc ) is taking place before or after, or should we arrange that we go somewhere, on a journey, and stop posting e.g. in Harad for the duration, til we come back? Cause you get so many different rules with different admins, most say you can be anywhere, because they want a site to look busy, - but this site is not the same, thank Eru, so what's the rule? Thanks.

First of all, thanks for saying that CoG is not the same as every other place.  Makes me feel appreciated.  Anyway, I have very, very, VERY few restrictions, mainly most confined to character creation and godmoddage, behavior in RP, harrassment of fellow plays, those sort of things. About posting whereever whenever, please feel free to post whereever you would like whenever you would like. Don't even have to caveat with a "This happens at such-and-such time" remark. People ought to be sensible enough to realize that you aren't RP in two places at the exact same in-game time, and if they think that, or if you are, then I need to have a chat with someone. LOL. No, seriously, you can be as freeform here as you would like. You can post whenever you'd like.  |

Ah, yes, this topic has come up many a-times. I think the only ruling we had on it is not to be involved in two grand scale things at once, for example two fights. Or, was it if you were involved in one grand scale thing you weren't allowed to post anywhere else? Because I do quite remember not being able to post Morsereg doing anything besides in the battle when we had realm wars going on. Not complaining, just pointing out.

Though you have to be careful because I remember on the old COG everyone got so confused, people were making time lines, lol. I think it was Arwen and Mor but I'm not sure.

Yeah, it got out of control with differnet people needing certain characters for events (Vanya or Arwen and Morsey, actually, lol, why everyone needed US escapes me.) and we actually made time lines of the events to keep people from being confused. Ugh. I don't want to go there again.

No, I think there's no need to overdo things like that. We'll just have it be where you can post anywhere anytime, as long as the reader understands that you're not placing your char in two places at the same in-game time. I do, however, like the idea of a character posting nowhere else if a board-shaking RP is going down. Makes things a little more intense...
