Vána was leaving with the others elves, she tripped as she was stepping out the door. She stumbled into the elf in front of her. "I'm terribly sorry, my lord," she mumbled righting herself. Vána shied back when she saw the one she had stumbled into was Oropher.

Oropher had shot around instantly when someone had bumped into him. Yes, it was an over reaction but he was still worred at first. He however calmed when he saw it was the Elf again from the Tavern. Her name was Vána. Oropher looked at her and shrugged lightly before speaking." I told you once. I am no Lord." He said gently." We've been over this." With that he ontiuned his walk, without another word. In his mind the two's relationship , if it could be called that, was now over. They had met, shared information, and were now done. That was how Oropher lived, and he liked it enough to keep it that way.

One of the other tavern patrons asked if she was all right, she nodded her thanking him for his concern. But she continued to stare after Oropher, wondering why he was so rude to her or if he was just that way with everyone. It truely had been an accident and she had not known at first who she had bumped into or she would not have said anything. Watching him go she sighed softly and started back towards her home.

Oropher had gotten a few steps before he had stopped walking. The other Elves moving around him. His hair blew slightly in the wind and he tucked it behind on ear before pivoting on his heel and watching her walk away. He knew in his heart that she had only wanted to help, to not hurt him. Someone for once had wished to offer him something, and in fear or out of habit he had rejected. She had not done anything wrong. While thinking he found himself moving slowly in the same direction as her. After nearly an hour he had reached her home. He stodd before it nervous for a few minutes, he couldn't help but think it was a bad idea. However if he just left he would be left wondering if he had made a mistake for the rest of his days. His soul carried enough burdens already, it did not need another. So he slowly walked ot the door rapping his knuckles against it.

A maid opened the door, she was used to Vána recieving visitors but never at this hour. "I'll fetch Lady Vána," she said, running into Vána's bed chambers.
Vána came out, wearing a heavy robe over her night shift. Her golden ringlets all loose and freed from her hair pins now, fell down in a curtain over her back. "Lord Oropher," she said, she had been raised well mannered and calling a male Lord was a habit for her. "To what do I owe the honor of this visit? Would you please have a seat?"

Oropher took a step in. He smiled lightly knowing he had made the right decision in trusting this Elf." You really can't accept I am not Lord, can you?" He asked gently, no hashness in his words this time. He sat down in one of the offered chairs and smiled as he noticed the maid and how she had not seemed surpirsed to see him." Get alot of visitors this time of night?" He asked both of them before looking back to Vána. I'm here to offer an apolagy." He said the words coming out rather forcibly. Admitting he was wrong was something incredibly hard for him." You were merely trying to get to know me and I offered you nothing more then anger and unnecassary words." Oropher said looking over at her, his tone showing he was not lying. " I am sorry for how I acted. It is...hard for me to accept others and even harder to trust them." Oropher then looked down to the floor knowing his fears inside were something childish then looked back to her.

"No," Vána laughed in response to his first question, "I get visitors but never this late." But she quieted instantly as he began to explain why he had come. She looked to her maid and nodded silenty and the younger elf left the room. "I should not have pushed you, if you did not want to talk I need not have tried to make you. I accept your apology if you will accept mine."

Oropher laughed lightly." You have nothing to apolagise for. You merely asked me a few questions. I however am more withdrawn then others, that is the only reason I became angry. You over stepped no boundries, My Lady." Oropher said leaning back in his chair. He was still skeptical about this who thing, but noticedh ow so far it had been going alright. Aslong as she didn't try to kill him either she could possibly be the first real friend he would have had for along time, if the first one ever. Then noticing how quiet it had become Oropher tried to strike up a conversation." You have a very lovely home." He said looking around at the elven architecture and admiring the beauty and craftsmanship put into everything.

A soft smile crossed Vána's lips, "This was my parents home. My mother took so much pride in keeping it beautiful." She thought of the silk curtains that hung in the windows, the goose down pillows on all the beds, everything seemed extravagent but it was so normal to Vána. Oropher seemed very kind once he was more relaxed. "Where do live my lor...." she stopped herself with a laugh. "You're right it just seems like I have to call you Lord. It is the way I was raised."

He smiled at her lightly as she corrected herself." I use to live in Mirkwood, but now I am exploring. So I guess I set down in an Inn for a week or so before going on my way. I have not permanent home." He said gently. He liked his lifestyle. He learned things that most people had no idea of. He knew more about the outside world then most Elves these days did." Are your parents still alive?" He asked curiously standing and looking over the walls of the room. Looking at the artwork and other forms of extravagance that they owned. It was a beautiful home that awed him. He then looked back to her." If it is no tto much could I trouble you for something to drink?" He asked with a small smile. He had not drinken for a few hours and his mouth was quiet dry, that and he wasn't great at making conversation.

"Aye, I was going to suggest that," Vána nodded, her eyes following Oropher as he made his way around the room. "Yes, my parents are still alive, they sailed to Valinor, just before the war." Her tone was almost sad, she missed her parents greatly but she knew she would see them when she too left Middle-earth for the West. "What of your family?" she asked as the maid came back in with a trey. The young elf pour a glass of wine for Oropher and one for Vána, she left the bottle on a small table near Vána's chair and quickly left again. "Do your parent still live in Mirkwood?"

Oropher accepted the glass and sipped at it. He could understand her sadness for her parents leaving. However when she asked about his family he took a quick breath and another drink of his wine before turning back to her." Well my Mother still lives in Mirkwood. She doesn't leave much." He said, he however didn't mention that she stayed inside because most of the other Elves hated her and her child." And as for my Father I do not know where he is. I never met him." He said simply. He knew it sounded strange, most Elves knew there entire family, he however hadn't mentioned that his Father had been a mortal man from Gondor.

"Oh," Vána said softly, she wasn't sure she wanted to ask why he did not know his father. "I did not mean to bring up painful memories for you. I did not know."

Oropher had offered her a weak smile." It is alright, Lady Vána. You had no way of knowing." He said taking another drink of the rich wine. It had quenched his thirst. Sitting back down Oropher looked over at her. He wanted to tell her of his Father, but everytime someone learned of his mixed blood it led to either pity or detest. Neither of which he wanted or needed. So from experience he kept his mouth shut, letting silence fill the air between the two. He however then realized it did not matter. He was leaving in the morning. If she had negative feelings towards ihm he would merely leave and not have to worry about what she thought." I never knew my Father because he had bedded my Mother for lust not love." He said gently." He was a mortal man. A man of Gondor." Oropher said looking up into her eyes. His eyes seemed worried about the secrets he was giving to this woman.

"I am sorry someone would use your mother in such a way," she said, not sure how to react at first. She took the wine bottle and refilled his glass. "Is that why you are so quiet, Oropher?" Vána thought he was just naturally withdrawn like some elves could be but now she could see a reason.
