I think Ash has some excellent points. Especially about battles and single combat being fought in True Style. None of this taking extreme liberties with dealing injuries to another player. Have the decency to give him the chance to write damage for himself, and if he doesn't after you dropped 10 obvious hints, then lop off his leg for his pains.
I like the idea of Maiar only having certain powers, and the plan of getting them approved as well. Might make for another little sense of old-fashioned RP. I'll ask Legolas to take charge of this one - he's got a solid head on his shoulders. Perhaps this and the army counts can be his big thing. If he's agreeable, then he'll make a thread, every Maiar charrie will post in there with a max of 5 powers they will use, and he will say yay or nay to them. I'll leave that to his judgement.
In battles some little modicum of decency should be kept: powers may be used, but, there again, be sure and keep it in True Style, and don't write the damage of your opponents. Especially in single combat (And, Ash, I've been thinking about bringing it back, but having only a set amount of ppl enter before it's over and you starting out in 1st place - that'd be cool, eh?), no magic may be used unless the fight is between two mages.
Monsters native to realms have always been a staple of this place (i.e. Wights, Dragons, Mumaks, etc.). However, here and now I am going to so no Balrogs. The one Gandalf killed was reportedly one of if not the last, and so all the others are in deep hiding if they're not dead. No more Balrogs - more trouble than they're worth.
And, Muraz - didn't mean to slam you: just thought it worth a chuckle that you were saying things aobut Maiar when you were half Vala. And I knew you didn't mean to end the battles - I was just talking about them.

Im not sying we should use them, Im mearly saying they exsist.
They live in the northern regions of ME. Like parts of Forodwaith, bits of Angmar, and a lot in Rhun in the Withered Heath.

Yeah, they're up there. They think it's too warm down south, and are of the opinion that ppl down there like to eat dragon steak, so they just stay up north where they feel at home. But, yeah, they're up there.

Yes in Rhun too. so... no yay or nay on the dragonays, Aaron? CUZ I GOT RHUN SO YIPEE!! But if you don't like dragons i guess thats okay because i only recently learned that and never really used them tho they are rhun's only monsters... i think. lol p.s i think all sorts still exist.. except maybe the Uruloki. I know that Smaug was a long worm wich is somewhat similar to a fire drake wich lives in north eastern regions. Cold Worms live in The Grey Mountains and i've never heard of dragons in Forodwaith but ok. umm... lets see. i'm just sort of musing here... you know what i say we should make a thread. might be fun. i like talking about unknown aspects like that.

I just did some reading... yeah the dragons remaining are lesser than Smaug. Smaug was the last of the Great Dragons. now only lesser dragons remain.
