Hey guys...
Yeah, I needed a place to rant, and I figure you guys probably do from time to time as well, on just about anything.
I'm covering the price of Bass Guitars LOL. Well, not just any Bass Guitars, but two specific models by B.C. Rich, the Warlock, and the custom-made Widow.
Warlock [Plus Case]
Widow [with its only owner, Talena Atfield]
If you look closely at the two five-string basses, there are FEW differences [the only things I can notice are that on Talena's, the top "wings" are longer, and on the bottom there's a straight indent in the bass].
So, basically, the Widow is just a customized Warlock. Now...look at the prices for them:
Warlock [with case] - $118.99
Widow [with case] - $5,752.20
For those FEW DIFFERENCES, over 5,500 dollars! Is that exaggerated or WHAT?!
I only know the price for the Widow from e-mailing the company that made it, and this is what I got in response to my question about it:

Thank you for your interest in B.C. Rich guitars and Dave Phillips Music and Sound. We can provide you with an exact duplicate of this guitar through the B.C Rich Custom Shop. To the best of my knowledge only one has ever been produced, so you could be the owner of
a very rare U.S. made custom shop piece. The price for this guitar including case would be $5752.20. The guitar would be shipped directly to you if you wish at no additional charge.
a 50% deposit would be required at the time of order. Build time can be estimated at the time of order, I would expect it to be around 4-6 months.

I mean, sure, the fact that I'd be the only one to have that particular bass [with the exception of the band Kittie, who took the Widow from Talena Atfield when she left] is cool, but just for those differences, that much price difference?
Gaah this is outrageous.
