Vaire smiled and said: "Thank you my Lord. My name is Vaire. I was wandering through hulston and heared about you and that you bring some "good" for Khazad Dum. Well, I am a dear friend of Arwen Undomiel since our time in Lothlorien, and I was wondering if you could need somebody - well, like an ambassador?" She smirked crafty.

Garland rested his chin on his fist, examining the lady. "Well, Vaire. Perhaps I could use somthing of that sort." He in no way trusted the woman before him, as he would be a fool to trust anyone that had earned it, but, to have in his service someone that claimed friendship to the Queen of Gondor was an opportunity he would not brush aside. He scratched his chin and then replied. "I'll tell you what. There is to be a council in Gondor soon. A discussion if you will over the recent events surrounding Isengard. I am inclined not to attend this council myself, as I grow tired of the politics as of late. However, I cannot simply have no representative there." He leaned back on his throne and waited for Vaire's reply.

Vaire noticed a carefull hesitation and smiled. But when he offered her to go to Gondor instead of him, she laughed happily and said: "I would be honoured to go to the councel for you, my Lord."

She laughed. "Well, I live since threethousand years with my family hidden and well protected. Since they are gone I did the same like before, living a simple life without danger or perill. But I am bored, my Lord. Its just that easy." She smirked.

Garland looked at her with a flat expression. "You are bored? You are bored and so now you wish to play polotics......." Garland shook his head. "Quite an unusual reason, but nevertheless, I will accept your service. As of late people have shed some doubt on my honor as ruler of Moria. If you are as good a friend to Arwen as you claim, then you should be of help in removing these doubts from my allies' minds."

"Thank you my Lord. They shouldn't doubt me. I never did anything to give them a reason." she said.

Garland nodded. "Very well then, go to the council in Minas Tirith and report back to me when it is over."

After the council Vaire mounted her horse and rode back to Moria, to give word to Lord Garland. She went through the caverns and halls of Khazad Dum, entered the throne hal and bowed before her lordship. "My Lord, I come with news from Gondor. May I speak?" she asked.

Garland had just returned from the battle in Mithlond when Vaire entered his hall. He nodded to her, "By all means, tell..." He then turned and walked to a wash basin, cleaning blood from his hands and face.

Vaire reported everything about the Council to him. Finally she looked at the door and back to her King. "I rode swift from Gondor to Moria. May I take my leave, my lord? I need to rest, if you don't mind."

Garland replied as he finished washing his face and drying it. "Thank you, Lady Vaire. You may take your leave now." When the elvish lady had left the chambers Garland changed out of his armor and into his regular garments before he too left the chamber, not so long after Vaire had.
