Garland nodded, "So, he was with you in your fight against Morsereg and his minions. Yet again, I had to learn of this well after the fact. No word for help was sent to me, how could I have known. Nevertheless, I'll not entertain any notion of handing Enedwaith over. That is that."

Saeros laughed and put his glass away. "I am not surprised, Lord Garland. Actually I would have nothing else expected. To make a mistake undone is not your favour if it means to loose power, isn't it so? Or was'nt it atleast a mistake at all? The timing of your aproach was well done. My army just left the realm for aiding Gondor. Too well done, good "friend"."

Garland looked to Saeros, getting annoyed with the elf. "It is peculiar that you had any expectation of what I would do Saeros, or that you would claim to know my 'favor.' Perhaps you came to know me well durring some meeting of ours that I fail to recall. As to it being a 'mistake', yes it was, in the sense that I had no knowledge the realm was occupied by an ally to Gondor. Now, I'm afraid, further discussion of the matter would be pointless. What is done is done. The important thing is, your men suffered no loss. For that be gratefull. The situation could have certainly been much more tragic."

"Well, what is done is done, let us turn from attempting to convince our comrade to give up his newfound toy," Aragorn laughed, patting Saeros placatingly upon the shoulder as he sat down again. "But, out of my curiousity, what are thy plans for Enedwaith, Lord, now that it is thine? Hast thou any little dreams or plans in which to make use of it?" He sipped at his brandy innocently, looking at Garland with honest curiousity.

Saeros tried to hide a grin and kept quiet.

Garland looked at Aragorn, "No more plans than you would have with it. I seek only to uphold the peace and see to it that the people prosper. Could you find fault in me for this?" He then turned to Saeros, "My friend, what is it you find so amussing?"

Saeros looked back to Lord Garland and tried hard to make a serious face. "Just the pleasure of this good brandy and our nice conversation. It is good to be under allies and friends," he said, swalloing an outburst of laughter.

"Indeed, I can't begin to describe to you the overwhelming joy your visit has brought me." He remarked with a flat expression as he lifted his glass again.

"As it has for us, as well, good my friend," replied Aragorn, toasting Garland in silence, though inside he thought of several choice terms for him, slippery eel that he was. "Mark any overzealous inquiries down to my great sense of...[here his hand waved as he sought a word]...contentment that another realm should belong to our alliance. But now, I have not been in this Moria for many long years, and should be glad of a tour, as long as thou'rt not overly busy. Of course, if thou wouldst prefer, Saeros and I may walk at will through thy tunnels, since thou'rt our friend and we have naught to fear."

Garland smiled and sat his drink up as he stood. "Very well, Aragorn, my friend. Have yourself a look around the mines. I'm sure it will bring back some memories for you." He called the captain that was outside and instructed him to accompany Aragorn through the mines and insure that he saw all the sights he wished to see.

"I am sure it shall," said Aragorn, rising and handing his drink unceremoniously to Garland ere he turned to Saeros. "Shall we take a walk, then?" he asked. Saeros readily assented, and so Aragorn first asked the captain detailed to assist them that they might see the King's Throne Room - Aragorn remembered it of old and wished to see it again. The captain agreed, and led them away, Aragorn waving a polite farewell to Garland. As the captain led them through the tunnels, Aragorn pulled Saeros aside, and told him to distract the captain his very best when they came to the throne room. Look at the tapestries, ask him questions about the frescoes - anything, he said.

Saeros grinned and nodded. They were led further, but kept to be in the upper level. Somehow Saeros had the feeling the real mirracle of Khazad Dum might lay more in the deepness and so he walked over to one of the stairs and pointed downwards, asking what there would be to see. The Captain made a annoyed face, but lead them deeper into the mountain. The aircirculation became bad when they reached an assumingly dead end of the tunnel and Saeros walked slowly towards the wall, scratching thoughtfull at the stones. He said that there was a pretty bad aircondition down here and asked how the miner could deal with that. The Captain again looked mad and answered vague and tried to lead them away from the wall. Saeros looked at Aragorn and nodded slightly, then he started to ask become inquisitive and asked the Captain about how the air would be led and where the actuall work would appear, what they used to do once a tunnel came down and how they filled the empty galleries. During that Aragorn poked his knife unseen into the Wall and loosened to his surprise pebbles, where plain rock would have to be espect.

The captain shook his head at Saeros' questions. "For those questions, my friend, you would have to inquire of the dwarves that built this place... and I assume they have all long since passed." He turned to Aragorn whom was poking around in the gravel and stone. "Yes, the miner dwarves have been using this hall as a dump for the slag they create while mining mithril." He motioned for the pair to follow them out of the uninteresting hall, "Come, I'll show you the mithril mines."

Aragorn appeared quite interested in the workings of the Mines, for that was one of the few things of which he had but little knowledge. He and Saeros turned to follow their leader, but Aragorn asked if instead they might view the Throne Hall of Moria, for Aragorn had seen it of old and wished to see if it had changed any great deal.

Saeros made a surprised face. "That is indeed unusual for the dwarves to fill a gallerie they use for airfreshning." he mumbled. But than he agreed to Aragorns suggestion.
