Where the Carnen River, known to many as the River of Red Water, forks with the Celduin a mighty fortress may be seen. The Clasta- Dolda also known as the Carnen Checkpoint is the center of all of Rhun's trade. It also controls further passage down the river Carnen for it is built over the river and sits atop a large and wide bridge that crosses over the river itself. It is an architectural marvel and no structure in Middle Earth was anything like it. A large iron-barred gate with pointed staves facing downward closes down into the river when passage is to be blocked and the only through it is to pass with the fortress' consent or to destroy it...
