On the borders of Harad, Alucard and Elros had set up camp, and had been waiting for days now. They had thusfar been unseen by the forces of Harad, and would have stormed the castle by now, had they not been awaiting the arrival of someone. Morsereg had told them of an informant that he has long had within Haradwaith, whom was expecting their arrival, that they were to wait for...
Now if only he would come.

Sayyid made his way to the Haradrim camp atop his black Nirakshi colt. He dismounted his steed and bowed to Alucard and Elros in the way of the Haradrim. "Long have I expected your arrival and I apologize for my late arrival. Not often do soldiers of Harad travel beyond the path of their caravans but this day I have managed to."
"When do you wish to make your way to the Haradrim Castle for I shall lead you there if your need has come." Sayyid smiled and bowed once more taking quick note of their surroundings and making sure that no scouts had infiltrated his sharp gaze.

Alucard stood, the sun had just set, and here arrived the informant. "I am Alucard, the Vampire Servant of Morsereg Dindaedel of Angmar...am I correct in assuming that you are the one who has promised to guide us into the Castle? May I ask your name?" He smirked, looking around, "But, above all else, yes, I believe tonight is the night...tonight we storm the castle and retrieve Erkai Dindaedel."

Sayyid twistedly grinned and bowed yet another time as was his habbit. "Indeed. I am the informant that Lord Morsereg has told you about. My name is Sayyid and I am a warrior of the Haradrim. Now come we have much work to do and we must move onward before the castle's night watch grows to vigilant. Their weakest moments are at sunset."
Sayyid bowed breifly again with that same crooked smile and remounted his small and swift Nirakshi steed. "Come the hour draws late and our time for action is drawing near." He then looked around hesitantly and began to move forward at a steady trot while waiting for Alucard, Elros, and Lancir to catch up with him.

Elros began to steadily fly forward with his Fell Beast but kept it so low to the ground that the rocky earth was just beneath the span of it's flapping wings. He looked at the dry trees and the large palms but then towards the sun, a look of disgust on his face. "This heat is unbearable. Is it always this way?"

"Do not complain, Elros. Think of your brother...He is in far worse conditions," He shot Elros a soft glare before stretching out his wings, and beginning to fly next to Sayyid. "I'm afraid we will have to stop if we have not gotten there by daybreak," He shot a glimpse of his fangs to explain.

"If the old Haradrim roads serve us well then we should be able to arrive within four hours. Worry not, Vampire of Angmar, we shall arrive in due time." That same crooked smile dawned on Sayyid's lips as the sun set behind the far Ephel Duath. The sand rose behind the trotting feet of his steed providing them with an effective but noticable veil. The steed flollowed by two flying shadows was a familiar site to the Haradrim for in days of old Alatar, Pollando, and The Nine were used to press the armies of Rhun and Harad forward by fear. "I do not beleive that we shall be hindered by any of the Caravans on these routs. The darkness and sands of evening shroud our figures but the menacing forms of your beasts shall give a warning enough to the people of these lands."

Elros thought quietly to himself achnowledging Alucard's comment with silent agreement. He did miss his brother and his sister no matter how much he hated to admit it. They were his closest friends and he desperately wanted them back.
"How long, did you say, before we reach the Haradrim palace?" This question troubled Elros deeply. Could the fortress of Haradwaith, home to this new mighty evil be so close to it's borders? Or was there something more to it's location.

Sayyid faced forward with firm determination watching the stars become clear. He turned only slightly back to see how far away the steeds and Fell Beasts were travelling behind him. Once he was sure that they were keeping pace he turned back towards the horizon with a grin of self-accomplishment. "The Fortress of Umbar is a four days ride south. I am afraid that we may not storm it tonight but soon. The days are hot and the nights cold. We may need to rest at daybreak and press on at nightfall. I am taking into mind both Alucard's... condition and the temperatures that you are accustomed to."

Elros watched Sayyid intently, listening to the repetitive sound of his steed's beating hooves. The night air soothed him and it seemed that Sayyid was correct. The desert nights of Haradwaith were very cool and much like the climate of Angmar. It was almost unbeleivable that a sea of sands could grow to be so cold.
A sound was echoing behind and as Elros lessened the speed of his Fell Beast he soon learned that it was Lancir. He listened to what he said of his father. It didn't seem to him that his father was so evil. He was a diminutive man and he had his ambitions that to some may have been evil but to Elros he was always father and nothing would change that, if only Theatana felt the same way. Something told him that she had grown comfortable with the enemy and that at that moment she was hiding from father just within his long gaze. Even with the newly proclaimed Carn Dum stone, nothing truly transpired in Middle Earth without the knowledge of it's rulers, Morsereg Dindaedel in especial. Elros's thoughts were racing as Lancir spoke and then something occured to him: He had no idea what the plans of Angmar and it's allies even were. He hadn't even truly read the letter left by Angmar's unfaithful steward. He had quite an inquiring mind but somehow he felt that it was not proper for him to ask questions. Perhaps now was the moment to change that. Perhaps now he would change his ways and become truly part of the fold of darkness, something that he knew his sister would never wish for.

"Of course...As long as we get there as soon as possible. I feel my master's blooid lust growing stronger within me every moment. I need blood...But I will not feed, not until we reach the castle. Then I can feed my fill..." And then they rode on, through the night. As daybreak approached, Alucard buried himself in the desert sand of Haradwaith to hide himself from the sun. And thus it repeated itself, three times, until the four days had passed...and the Haradrim Castle loomed before them at midnight of the fourth night.
Alucard smirked devilishly, his skin clinging to his body, having starved himself of blood. "Let's go....Time to feed....And time to return what is rightfully my masters..."

Sayyid smirked as he saw the fortess standing just outside of the city of Umbar amidst what was known to the Haradrim as the Dune Sea. Evening had just come and finally the time to strike had arrived. Sayyid mounted his horse for during the duration of the day he had camped within the dunes of Haradwaith, sheltering himself from the sun with Elros, Lancir and Alucard. As the great sphere set behind the towers of Umbar, Sayyid left the burrow to scout the area around them. When the time finally came he beckoned for Alucard and Elros and they too departed the small shelter.
Sayyid smiled as Alucard, Lancir, and Elros stepped out into the dusk and gestured towards Haradwaith's fortress where a great evil resided. Sayyid knew that the new leader of Haradwaith was truly an odd man for he commanded his forces with such manipulative words that not even the will of the stubborn Haradrim would contend with Gurherdir's.
(Alright lets continue at the fortress thread I suppose. would you like to start us off?)
