She looked up at him and shrugged, pretending to be a bit uninterested. "Convincing? Well...I'm not sure.." Idrial reached up, once more slipping her arms loosely about his neck as she watched him. She moved one hand down to placed lightly upon his face as her finger tips traced ever so lightly along his jaw.

Vilik raised an eyebrow in suprise at her statement and rolled over onto his back, placing his hands behind his head. He looked up at the ceiling and the shadows that stretched across it as the lantern swayed back and forth with the rythm of the waves. "Well then, if you want no convincing, I suppose I should just go to sleep."

Idrial was equally surprised as he pulled away and rolled onto his back. She propped her head up on her fist, looking over at him. "Alright then...but just don't be surprised if I change my mind about being first mate." She let herself fall back onto her pillow, seeming to be very interested in the flat wooden ceiling above them.

Vilik stared at the ceiling, glanced and saw Idrial doing the same, then returned his gaze above. He laid like that for a few minutes before laughing and commenting, "It is a very well crafted ceiling is it not?" He rolled back to his side and watched Idrial. "You know, I would be so disappointed if you were to change you're mind." He reached for her hand and smiled.

Idrial glanced over toward him, unable to keep the grin from forming on her lips. "Would you?" She turned her head to better view him as he took hold of her hand. "Well, in that case...maybe I'll stay." She propped her head up with her free hand. "That is, if you still want me here."

He grinned and acted as if the question took some thinking, "Well, I suppose there are some advantages to having you stay..." He smiled and pulled her close as well as pulling the blanket over them. He gave a faked serious look, "Now, what course of action would my first mate suggest in the matter of riding out this storm?"

She nestled herself comfortably against him as he pulled the blanket up. At least they would not suffer from the cold that the rain brought with it outside. "Well," she said, remembering his past words about being a first mate, "whatever would make the captain happy." Idrial paused, watching him. "That is what you said was the first mate's duty, correct?"

Vilik grinned, "Well well, 'whater would make me happy,' you say." He pulled her on top of him and looked at her with a sly look on his face. His hands ran down the length of her body and then up again. He brushed the straps of her dress to the side, exposing the tops of her shoulders. "You should be carefull what you offer." He remarked then pulled her face to his and kissed her deeply.

Idrial had to admit that she was somewhat surprised when Vilik pulled her on top of him and brushed aside the straps of her garment. She had no time to react however, because she was pulled forward into a kiss. Finally, when their lips parted, she looked down at him. "Should I?" she asked. "In that case, you should be careful what you take." She rested her elbows upon his chest as she looked down at him.

He looked up at her, watching her eyes, not knowing if he'd gone to far. "I'll keep that in mind, m'lady, and take no more than what you are willing to give." He ran his fingers across her cheek as he watched her.

Idrial reached up and touched the back of his hand gently as his fingers traced across her cheek. A smile formed upon her lips as she looked down at him, listening to his words. It was a good reply...and she knew he meant it. Leaning forward, she placed another kiss on his lips. "I know, captain." She finally murmured with a smirk, her face near to his. "I was merely concerned for your safety. After all...I'm known to be quite prone to accidents, and I wouldn't want you to be on the recieving end of an injury," she said with a wink.

He smiled warmly at her words, "Oh, worried about my safetly are you? I'm touched." He whispered to her, his lips brushing against hers as he spoke her face was so near. "I think though, between you and the matress I am safe as both are very soft." He kissed her gently and laughed as their lips parted. "On second thought, I might find myself falling for you... and that could be quite dangerous I think."

The maiden raised a brow at his last statement. "Dangerous? Me?" She laughed, placing a hand upon his face. "Alright...maybe I am a little 'dangerous' at times. But that wasn't my fault." She said, referring to the wound on his side. It seemed she would never live that down.

Vilik laughed as she made her comment. "With you around, knives in my side are the least of what I worry about." He kissed her again then pulled back and studied her eyes as he caressed her hair and cheek. "No matter. Thus far the reward has been worth the price of a little cut."

Idrial smiled at his words, looking down at him as he pulled back a bit. "Well, I am sorry for that." She said, still feeling a bit guilty about the incident. But since he said it did not matter, she would try to see it that way. She once more rested her hands upon his chest as she waited for him to react. The boat rocked a bit more sharply than it had as of yet, and she nearly lost her balance and toppled off the bed, luckily she did not, for she placed her hands on his shoulders to steady herself.
