The city around Carn Dûm, where Orcs and the like ran about. The buildings included an inn for weary allies of Angmar, if one would ever exist, and an armory to forge weapons for the soldiers of Angmar. Orc Laborers lugged wood around to the Woodworks to create arrows, not making a noise.

Minos marched into Carn Dum's inner circle along with seven thousand dark dwarves. As the bulk of the force set tents and made a camp ready, Minos took a few gifted dwarves to the forges, taking with them a good supply of mithril ore. The dwarven smiths took up place alongside Morsereg's Orcs and began crafting with them, and teaching them techniques that only they knew. Soon they were producing swords of mithril, mithril mails and helms. While they would not be able to produce enough for all of Morsereg's troops, there would at least be plenty for his more gifted warriors.

While working with the Dwarves, the Orcs began to station themselves around Carn Dum, in the case attack came. The Orcs helped to craft, and those that were not crafting were patrolling around the gate. The Orc Archers stood upon the top of the gate, poison arrows at the ready, some in guard towers, waiting to call out if even the smallest enemy troop was sighted.

A gobblin messenger came to Minos' camp, bearing a letter from Garland. The gobblin entered the general's tent and handed him the letter.

Minos took the letter and read. His lord had instructed his immeadiate return to Moria, no explanation was given. Minos shook his head in confussion and snorted. If this was his lords will, then he would see to it with haste. Within an hour the forces of dwarves, gobblin archers and wrag riders were marching south through the tunnels, back to their home. Minos left the load of mithril ore and the weapons that had been forged, it was a gift to Morsereg. He gave his regards to one of Morsereg's servants, bidding him to send his regrets to Morsereg that his departure had to come so soon. He then joined his troops in the march to Moria.
