Minos arrived in Ered Luin along with 5,000 Wrag Riders. These troops joined the ranks of his Ered Luin troops and made their way through the tunnels to the northern chain of the mountains where Morsereg had established his colonies. Minos led his troops in a mad blitz through the caverns, bent on purging their mountains of any reminder that Morsereg had ever been there.

The forces of Morsereg still in the Ered Luin, 7,500, left immediately upon hearing about the approach of Minos' troops, and made their way to serve their master in Gondor.
