A town on the shores on the Long Lake, the original home of the Lake-men. After the coming of Smaug to Erebor, Esgaroth seems to have been abandoned in favour of a more secure township built out in the Lake itself. It is now reinhabited by the men that have remained after the greivous assult on the Lonely Mountain and it's terretories.
