In the ancient city of Annuminas the people work constantly to restore the glory of Arnor. The stone is refortified or replaced. Marble pillars now stand tall in the throne and the windows let the morning light stream onto the throne. Kind Doren sits on his throne awaiting any that should wish to speak with him on mattesr concerning his realm or even matters of other realms that need to be discussed as soon as possible.

Doren arrived back at the Throne Hall of Annuminas and seated himself in the Throne. He was weary of his travels and his servants brought him food and drink. After feeding his appetite Doren took his quill and began writing a letter to King Elessar of Gondor. When complete he walked outside the throne and let out a shrill whistle. A falcon perched on his shoulder and Doren tied the letter to it's leg. Doren whispered in elvish to the bird and it began to fly to Gondor.
Noredred quickly ascended the stairs to the citadel of Annuminas. He bowed to Doren and rose with a look of worry "My lord Angmar has taken an Istari as it's leader. His name is Morsereg Dindaedel and he commands evil spirits and legions of orcs and trolls. We are in grave danger my lord."
Doren turned full of greif and worry for his people and burried his head in his hands. "Arnor is in more danger than ever before. Isengard I fear has once again fallen into the grip of an Istari. This time a witch. She refused to aid us and spoke of the Barrow Downs, our ancient burial grounds and what they hold. Noredred I saw these spirits in the mirror of Galadriel. If they are linked with the Barrow Downs then perhaps they are the Barrow Wights, evil spirits sent down into the Barrow Downs by Murazor the Witch King during the days of our former wars with Angmar. I will do research on this matter. Go and rally your troops Noredred. Send word to every city and village in Arnor that war soon may come. We must be ready and have faith." Noredred nodded and descended the stairs of the citadel.
Doren walked into the citadel and found it's libraries. He found a book on the Barrow Downs and their history. It spoke of the Barrow Wights sent from Angmar and their dark powers. Only one line mentioned breifly what the Barrow Wights dread. "The Spirits guard that wich may undo them." Doren closed the book and prepared a party of knights to travel with him to the Barrow Downs and find what the evil spirits guard. Shovels were brought aswell as picks. Once the party was assembled they prepared to ride to the Barrow Downs at sun-up.

Two days later Doren returned to the citadel of Annuminas, tired beaten and battered. He had not slept well since his encounter with the Istari Witch of Isengard. He stumbled up the stairs to the citadel and pressed down a long hallway past the throne to the royal armories. The guards allowed him passage and he walked into the farthest room of the armories. Of the many torch holders in each of the many rooms of the citadels, the second to the last torch holder of the last room in the armories held a secret. Doren pulled it leading him to a secret room. The guards laid the swords down carfully under a series of loose rock slabs. Once the deed was done Doren dismissed the guards and left the armories to retire in his chambers. The series of events as of late were most disturbing and he needed sleep if he was to keep his mind clear. Before he went to bed he did write one last letter of plea to Siranna of Mirkwood, and gave it to Galathirion, his falcon to take to Ohtar's.

Garland rode alone to the ancient city of Annuminas. Upon reaching the magnificient city he dismounted his white steed and approached the throne of Lord Doren. He kneeled to one knee in respect as he came before the noble king. "Lord Doren, I am Garland of Khazad-Dum. Greetings."

Morning had come and Doren had sat in upon his throne in the morning son, a sleepy haze about him. Even more peasants had come to ask for assistance in their villiages, and with the problems troubling Doren at the moment he had simply pretended to listen to them, something he was not proud of. When the scouts arrived Doren bowed thankfully "Thank you my friends. Please secure the perimeter of Enedwaith. That should give you quicker passage to your own realm if need arrives. I am sure the stealthiness of the elves shall serve us well. Our own scouts are watching Angmar, and Lothlorien is watching Moria from the other side of the mountains aswell as on this side." The scouts were dismissed with provisions and Doren continued to go about his duties.
When the lord of Khazad Dum came he knew why the border guard had allowed him passage aswell as the Ranger blockade along the river Bruinen, the only way into Annuminas. Doren looked him over skeptically "Interesting. As of late no word of Dwarven conquerings have come to Arnor as they would have if the Goblins have truly departed. If this is so how are you lord of Khazad Dum?"

Garland rose. "No, you would not have heard of any great conquering, for there was none. When me and my men came to Moria, the Barlog it seems had already been destroyed and much of the city abandoned by the gobblins. Those that remained we drove deep into the crevases of Moria, and occasionally we have to drive them back again. I do not claim to be a great King of vast armies, but, my hold on Khazad-Dum is firm."

"I shall consider this. I cannot fully trust you yet considering the status of your land and the deceitful history of people such as Sauron who attempted to seem fair and in fact were not. You must understand my caution for I am in the grip of Enedwaith, Angmar, Isengard and possibly your realm, Garland. Isengard's leader in I beleive has dark intent and I shall be ever vigilant spreading word to my allies of 'possibilities' and 'likelihoods'. I shall accept your offer on the condition that two of me most trusted men be with you at all times."

"So, you would send me away with baby sitters? Very well, Doren, but I would expect the same. To leave two men with you, does that sound fair?"

"Every so often they shall report to me in alternation. If they do not return I shall assume the worst." Doren clapped his hands and in moments food and drink were brought out for Garland.
A falcon flew gracefully through the window and landed on Doren's arm. It nodded humbly in signal that Gondor had accepted. Doren took food from a pouch at his side and fed the bird small bits of meat. The falcon knew well to still hunt but also that it would it would be rewarded for long travels

Lord Garland thanked Doren for the food that was brought forth. After the quick meal he bowed. "If your men are ready I must be on my way. I journey now to Gondor to speak with Lord Aragorn."
