A land of the Elves in the west of Middle-earth during the Second Age, famed for its smithwork and the friendship of its people with the Dwarves of nearby Khazad-dûm. The Elves of Eregion came under the influence of Sauron and unwittingly aided him in the making of the Rings of Power.

The Elves of the Tower Hills made camp in their ancient home of Eregion. They were prepared to defend the central borders of the land at any cost. If called away to a greater battle they would go into the North to Fornost or Annuminas but at the moment all of the elves of Eregion and soldiers stationed in Bree and Hobbiton were on alert.
The sun shone darkly on the ancient ruins of Eregion and the elves made their hiding places in the many ancient fortress of old. The hiding places of Eregion were perfect for ambush and if any renegade waves came through the would be prepared.
