"Agressive is the name I would give to a reckless attempt at the taking a realm of peace. What has Murazor to say of this? And the Son of Morgoth? This I did not know - ill are these tidings! The people have submitted thou sayest? Submitted rather than be slain by force? Has Murazor gone mad, that he lays siege to a defenseless realm thus? Mithlond was a peaceful place, and should Murazor have wished to rule it, then he should have applied peacefully to its peoples. Difficult it is for me to condone this act of war, Messenger of Imladris."

"Excuse me my lord," the messenger tried to breath and somebody shove a chair under him preventing that he fell. "I am coming from Mithlond and I enshure you, he invaded Mithlond."

The elf felt as if he had just be stabbed in the back by a great friend and its sword twisting round in him then he said "My lord are the elves of Rivendell , turned into some evil since you have left , did you not live with us for nearly 80 something years of your life , would you trust the word of deciet , and evil who has twisted everything to her likeing , my lord just because you are the son of somebody dose it mean you follow in there oaths , Have you followed Isildur path , do you think Glorfindel who rode agaist the nine riders would condone such an act of violence , "

A scout from Angrenost arrived in the citadel. "M'leige, Lady Megloren of Angrenost has sent aid to lord Murazor. She stresses for me to inform you that Murazor has not taken aggressive force in the movement in Mithlond, but has mearly claimed a leaderless realm to care for. She has informed me to tell you Ilmare is trying to frame Murazor. She requests that you go yourself, or send a scout of your own to check for proof."
((If you look, Murazor HASNT taken the realm by force, for the record.))

"Things change e'er, good Elf of Rivendell, and a man is faced with a myriad of choices in these troubled times. All that reaches my ears is that Mithlond is beset by Murazor:
So Gondor believes that the intent of Murazor was ill. What else can be meant by such overtures of hosility? What am I to think? And, Lady Megloren, I would have thou relate to me just how thou art aware of the true intent of Rivendell, and of Enedwaith? What proof hast thou?"
{Not being a prick, just making it interesting. Besides, in open RP Meg has no knowledge of Muraz's or Ilmare's true intent, unless I missed something. And in his attack post, it sure looks like he has.}

((Megloren dont trust her anyways, Aaron, but she does trust Murzor. And its her scout here, not her herself))
The scout nodded and left to inform Megloren.

{Sorry, Meg - reading at work and had to skim.}
"I choose to 'back' no one, good sir," said Aragorn as Murazor's messenger departed. "I cannot, however, condone a course of action by Murazor which takes his Elven-people into needless war. There former glory lost, is it? But is it the responsibility of Rivendell to restore this glory by force? To 'whip into shape' the people of Mithlond? I think not. Therefore, I shall not grant aid to Rivendell in this venture."

On another day Doren walked into the citadel of Minas Tirith, flanked by Winged Guard of the North, and bowed low to King Elessar. His eyes were glazed and he was truly saddened by the news that had reached Noredred on the battle feild before the shores of Mithlond.
"King Elessar, my cousing, my cheiftan, my friend, have you heard news of the battle that has taken place on the borders of your kin? In Mithlond, Lord Murazor sent an occupation force to restore order and aid in the restoration of Mithlond's cities and ports but a retaliation force was so conveniantly issued by Enedwaith and Moria so far from Mithlond's borders. I find this to be more than coincedance, My Lord. Enedwaith may have stated to be the peaceful defenders of Mithlond, but their arrival was far too perfect. I beleive that another premeditated occupation force was prepared and Lord Murazor's messenger stated it so. My captain in all endeavors, Noredred, whome you know well, ordered a prompt retreat to Arnor, only staying long enough to aid in the liberation of Rivendell from the flanks of Enedwaith and Moria. I know Murazor's intentions to be just but I could not aid him with your dissagreance. I fear for Murazor and for the alliance held over the many lands of Middle Earth. It is now crumbling, I can feel it, and if action is not taken immediately it will cease to exist."

Megloren walked into the citadel also, but she was flanked by her two Urk-Hai. "I couldnt agree more, M'lord. I cannot act under my own will anymore without the fear of being overuled and condemed by Ilmare, who is decieving. So many people look up to you, and will not act without your condolence no matter how strongly I disagree. You have pushed him away by this action. You know he ment no harm! You know it is the way he expresses his feelings that is wrong, not his feelings in general. Why do you so willingly side with that witch?"

"What I know is my own affair, Lady of Isengard, and have ever I said that I 'sided' with Ilmare? Nay, I did not. Simply said have I that hard to make a choice in this matter was it for Gondor, and that to aid an agressive taking of a peaceful realm was not to my liking. Time enough has it been for tales from the front to reach even my ears - Murazor came to conquer, how can this not be seen? {really, from his post what else can I think?}
Doren, dear cousin. It grieves me to see that I have lost faith in thy eyes. Think not ill of me, cousin, for to take up arms in this struggle I could not. Somewhat has twisted the mind of Murazor, this much I can easily read in the assault upon Mithlond. How could I ever side with him, then? And of course I could not side with Enedwaith, for for all her fair seeming Ilmare is a snake, I am no fool. Think on it as I did, Doren: little was there that I could have done and slept well with my own conscience."

"The taking was peaceful, but with Moria and Enedwaith's timely arrival I expect more shall come from whoever may take control of the elven coasts. Murazor is a friend and because of his descent from Morgoth, I am sure that his mind has faced much turmoil, but his intentions are just and good however the approach may seem. If Mithlond is taken by Enedwaith and Moria in the stead of Rivendell then I propose that a watch be kept over our new allies and a meeting be arranged with Murazor so that mistaken we are not in the denial of aid. He is my good friend and neighbor and I do not wish to share ill feelings."

Megloren nodded. "Not to mention if she betrays us, they will control the entire northern ports of Middle-Earth except Gondor. A stretegic portion of out lands. My hope lies with you."

"Not necessarily... Arnor controls the southern ports of the Ice Bay of Forochel. We have still have control there but against he ports of Mithlond, Enedwaith, and Umbar we are outnumbered. This is not yet a time of war and we must not make it so. Soon it very well may be but at this moment we are still in a watchful peace."
(This is before attack on Khand and Rivendell.)

"Yes but the ports freeze over in winter. Mithlond is the last remaining all-year open port besides Gondor. And what I am saying is that we must be ready. They will soon be gathering. Planning is in action."
