Dont forget all the other names Aragorn he thought to himself , he never thought he would find a man with so many names, until he met Aragorn, then he said "Welcome My lady ..." then he saw Ilmare then Adh and said " IIm guessing lady Ilmare lost the battle"

Doren entered the pub and slinked into the back. He noticed many leaders present and listened intently to their conversation and watched with interest, their antics. Obviously some tournament had been issued by Lord Aragorn to make good the time that these leaders spent in the White City while they waited for important events such as the council that would soon take place and determine the fate of Rohan and of Megloren.
A waitress walked to him and ,after receiving his order, she scurried to the bartender who prepared him an ale. The waitress returned smiling and placed the ale gently upon the table. She placed her hands on her waists and grinned widely as she watched Doren take his mug into hand. He nodded uneasily wondering why this woman would be watching him drink so intently. Hopefully they hadn't planted anythng foreighn into the ale. After taking a long swig, he nodded with satisfaction. The waitress smiled and returned to the bar. People are very friendly in the White City. I should visit more often for lighter reasons than polotics.

E'vesash laughed softly at his comment and relaxed a bit in her chair. "Well, I am glad to see that you haven't completely forgotten about me yet." She nodded a greeting to the Lord Aragorn and to the other that was seated at the table. "And hello, I'm E'vesash Tasolda." She said to both of them...for though she knew of Aragorn, they had never personally met. Her emerald gaze rose slightly as she noted another figure entering the pub. He was cloaked in black and seemed to carry an aura of suspicion with him. She surpressed a shudder as he passed by their table, but said nothing of the matter. Legolas smiled, "How could I ever forget about you Evy? But come, how do you like the city now? You've had some time to tour it, Aragorn keeps better company here than ever I saw."

Legolas laughed softly, watching the stranger enter.
"Well Murazor, perhaps even those among my kin would be called strange company, after all, are not the elves a mysterious and secret race? Men themselves were once considered a futile people, not worthy of being equal to share in the love of our kind, and even now...few among their race have shared the joy of life with one of our race.
Even you Aragorn, are among one of the few to win the heart of one of our people."

Vaire laughed and squeezed Arwens hand. "And very well done, how I see." she whispered to her. Arwen looked with a bright smile at her friend. "I know," she whispered back.
(well, very very very distant cousins - just a huuuuuuuuge amount of generations of Kings between them. LOL)

Aragorn chuckled at the gaiety of the common room this evening, and nodded to
Legolas.
"Aye," said he, "Few other than Beren and Earendil my fathers have been
favored with the love of Elven-kind. Deeply aware am I that I deserve it not. And,
good Murazor," he continued with a twinkle in his eye, "See as much of the
world, and learn the way of it as I have, and perhaps thou shalt be known in as many lands as I, with as many names as there are lands." He and Murazor both laughed, and Aragorn stood. "Lady Vaire, I have oft heard my bride speak thy name with fond remembrance, and enheartened am I to meet thee. Thou hast graced my City, and e'er welcome in its circle shalt thou be.
So, the first of the Trials is done, eh? And honest Ashuron the victor? Surprise it is none to me. Congratulations, Ash!" cried he, motioning the Elflord over to the table. "Here, betake thee a celebratory smoke with me - I have goodly Longbottom Leaf."

The innkeeper made shrift to add all the names of those lately subscribed to the Trial of Lords to the lists in the Pub and upon the Citadel door. The First Trial was completed and Lord Leafbow was victorious, so now a new contest was needed to furnish him with another challenger. Five more individuals had placed down their names: Lords Murazor, Legolas, Garland, and Lancir. As well, there was the name of Gurherdir that had an uncommon ring. If it would please the Lord Murazor, he would wait for some little time until another spellcaster might enter the fray, that they would prove an even match. Therefore, another pairing would be made forthwith. Lords Garland and Lancir would take part in the next match. The innkeeper posted such on the lists, and the tale was noised about the City. Soon would the Second Trial commence.
At a request from the King, the one named Gurherdir would await the King's pleasure.
{Since Leg is away and can't write the fight, and since it'd be cool if Muraz and another mage would fight. Tony'll be back soon. Ash, don't worry - have something special in mind for Gurherdir, unless he wants to fight now...}

Murazor raising his glass to Ash then said " It seems the competition is hotting up wouldnt you agree , Aragorn " Aragorn was the only name he knew the man by , and he chose to call it him , the elves might call him estel but hed prefer Aragorn.

"I would indeed, friend Murazor," replied the High King. He knew no other name for the Lord of Rivendell and so would employ this one. "Lord Ashuron will face the victor in this next trial. Mayhap, if Lord Dindaedel enters, thou shalt e'en have essay with him. A fine match to watch, that would be. I plan to have all of the spellcasters battlers amongst themselves, and the fighters themselves as well, and then in the final match to make trial of the hardiness of mage and warrior, and we shall put them to the proof and see whose mettle is the stronger. But this Gurherdir...thought for him have I taken, and I strategem have I devised. We shall see."

"Hmm, Gurherdir? That's not a name I'm familiar with. A warrior from the far north or south perhaps?" Lord Leafbow mused. "Still, can't get all caught up in puzzels like this one when there's so much celebration to be done, can we?"
OOC: Whatever you have planned for Gurherdir is fine, but I'd like to know anything you're willing to share at this point

"True, true," Aragorn smiled mystically between puffs at his pipe, which he proffered to Ashuron. "Well done in the match, my friend; a swift, well-timed stroke will ever defeat main force. And honourably done, as well. High in the ranks of the Trials will you rise, if not emerge the High Victor."
{Sure, lemme PM you, hang on...at work, so gotta sneak all of this...}

"Honor and mercy in battle are two of the few things that separate us, Elves, humans, dwarves, and the rest, from animals and beasts. You'll never find a bear stop and ask you if you'd like to run away before it starts in with the claws and teeth."

"True enough. Quickness to take up arms may be a virtue in many, and well doth it suit some, but for myself I shall rather die defending my honour, than if without it I must live. The Elves have I always looked on with high regard, and thou not the least, for in them shall the old ways of yore never die."
