Katherin gave an exhasperated sigh and leaned back sharply against the wall, resting her elbows upon her knees as she fiddled with a piece of straw and stared into the darkness. Her ears strained to hear anything in the night outside the stable, but there was no audible sound. "I think the coast is clear..." she finally said. "Can we not go now?"

He turned and spyed through a little gap in the door. It looked clear and he nodded. "Yes, I think we could go now." He pointed to the door. "Ladies first."

Katherin pushed herself from the ground and walked over to the door silently. "I am so glad you've finally recovered your manners." She murmured sarcastically as she walked by. They stepped out onto a quiet street, and she turned back to glance at him. "There," she stated, "now am I free to go?"

He looked at her. "To run to the next guard and give them a shout where I am and that I am leaving the city? No, I am sorry, but you need to spend a little bit more time at my side." He raised his chin and sighed. "This is for me eve as uncomfortable as for you. But I have to insist. - Do I need to threaten you, or do you come freely with me until I am out of the walls of Minas Tirith? It would be much easier for both of us if you came freely with me."

Katherin shook her head and raised her chin defiantly. "Nothing you could say would threaten me. But I suppose I have no choice but to follow you." She folded her arms. "Though, I'll have you know it is against my will." She stepped toward him and motioned with an annoyed wave of her hand for him to lead the way.

He laughed. "Yeah, you have me known, indeed." He took her upper arm and pushed her in front of him. "That way." They walked through the city. Not the main street who was running from level to level. They kept walking on the smaller ones, climbing stairs up and down and finally they reached the gate again. A cart loaded with some empty barrels stood in front of them and covered their view. Dorlas pushed his captive foreward to the cart and gave her a sign to get into one of the barrels. "And no sound," he whispered in her ear.

Katherin gave a simple - and silent - nod and climbed, albeit reluctantly, into one of the barrels. After a while, she felt the cart begin to roll into action. She assumed that her captor was hiding in one of the nearby barrels. She did not, however, have any idea where the cart was headed. Although, since the man seemed so intent to get out of the city, the cart must be headed somewhere toward the main gate.

Nobody checked the load and the main gate opened before the cart and towards the little village in the fields, where the barrels belonged to. It took a while before Dorlas came out of his hiding place on the cart and looked back to the city. The gate wasn't even to see anymore and the city was far behind. He jumped up, reached to the cart driver and broke his neck in a swift move. The sickening sound of the crashing bones and the bump of the dead body on the ground besides the car was loud enough to be heared within the barrels. Dorlas climbed on the drivers seat and took the strings. "You can jump off now and run home," he shouted into the back.

Katherin pushed herself out of the barrel without much difficulty. She was slender after all. She glanced up toward the front just in time to see the body of the cart driver slump to the ground and she clamped a hand over her mouth to smother a scream. "Why did you do that?" She finally gasped. "He did nothing to you!" There was anger in her eyes as she looked toward Dorlas.

"He would have done something to me, because I was going to steal his cart." Dorlas said and looked back to her. "He had his sword probably not to stick swines or peel fruits." He layed his hand on the hilt of a short sword, which was bound to the cart seat.

"So!" Katherin said angrily as she folded her arms and watched him. "You could have easily out run him or out manuvered him, as he is burdened down with a cart and you have naught but your feet to carry you fast." She seated herself upon a barrel, glancing up toward the sky as she attempted to clear the irritation from her voice.

Dorlas laughed. "Of course I could have. But this was quite quicker and more comfortable for me." He grinned at her disgusted face. "I am a baaaaaaaad man. What do you think why the guards are looking for me? Not because I am so pretty and cute, thats for sure." He chuckled.

Katherin rolled her eyes at his joking comments - a gesture that seemed quite common place for her. She placed her hands on her hips as she slid off the barrel, though she remained upon the cart for the time being. "Why are the guards looking for you?" Her dark eyes watched him carefully. "I have never seen you in the White Tower Pub before...you're not from around here, are you?"

He looked over the shoulder to her. "I was nerver in the White Tower Pub before. Maybe thats why you never saw me there. I am a stranger in this lands, but not stranger enough not to be known by the Gondorian Guards. Thats the payment for doing the duty for your country sometimes. Loyality to the wrong side of power can be tricky," he laughed.

Katherin suddenly became interested by his statements. She was not overly worried, for if he meant to kill her, he most likely would have done so by now. "If you don't mind my asking...whose side were you loyal to? And where are you from?" A dark brow was raised in curiousity as she waited for him to answer, one way or the other.
