"Another bird of ill-omen is it?" Ash asked. "You'd think that you were a mouse for the amount of birds that chase after you." He laughed so hard that his hood fell down, which he quickly replaced, cursed, and stared around, his hand flying to his sword hilt just in case anyone was waiting to attack the first elf they saw.

Idrial watched with curiousity as the man took the note from the bird. She tilted her head, and attempted to peer over his shoulder...but he was just a bit too tall. Oh well, that's how things went sometimes. And it was about that moment that the other stranger began to laugh. Idrial's brows rose in surprise as his hood fell, revealing two definitely pointed, elvish ears. "So," she said, meandering around to face him with her hands on her hips, "you are an elf." A slight smirk appeared on her features.

"Yes, but an elf who doesn't want that proclaimed through the streets. Elves arn't the normal inhabitants of this area are they?" he said. "Draws too much attention to me when it comes out that I'm an elf, like it seems to have drawn your attention."

Idrial laughed and clasped her hands behind her, giving a brief nod of her head. "It is true...it's not often that one has the priveledge of making the aquaintance of an elf." She meandered a bit closer and bowed her head slightly. "I suppose I should be honored by the opportunity." She glanced past him briefly to scan for the ship's crew before offering him a smile...after all, there was more than one way to gain passage on a boat when she needed it.

"Do you walk around the docks all day smiling at people, or do you have an actual job?" Ashuron asked and laughed again, this time careful to not make his hood fall off again, he'd already done it once, and he had seen what events that one time had offered, and wasn't keen on anyone else noticing his ears.

"Well," Idrial replied with a laugh of her own, "mayhap that is my job. It is a good job, wouldn't you say?" She gave a slight shrug and scuffed one foot against the ground. "But at the moment, I have no other job. At the moment." She made sure to add again.

"Well, if that is your job, you're certainly doing a very good job of it. And only it," he added and pointed towards the two sacks of grain still on the ground. "They're not going to move themselves you know."

Idrial's flashy smile faded into somewhat of a frown...or a pout, as her eyes followed his gesture to the sacks of grain. "Some gentleman you are." She said, moving toward the sacks slowly. "Oh," she said, glacing back toward him with a look of apology, "excuse me...elf." She wasn't sure whether the term 'gentleman' applied to elves...so she thought she'd better remedy that...just in case. She hoisted both bags this time and carried them onboard the ship.
As she made her way back down toward the two men, she spotted the helmet of one of the guards. Oh no. Idrial thought to herself, and she cringed inwardly. She slipped back down onto the dock and ducked down beside the elf. "Be a good friend," she whispered, "and don't move."

"Why should I stand still? I could just as easily walk up the ramp of the ship and have a better view of the ocean rather than standing here in the docks and adding the scent of fish to that of everywhere else," he said, but stood still anyway.

(I know...I know...this is the lazy way of doing things, but I'm too lazy to log out and log back in, so this post is really Idrial - not E'vesash. Forgive my laziness everyone! lol)
Idrial sighed, thankful that the elf did not question her motives for ducking behind him. For a few moments she thought she would be safe, but when she peeked out from behind him, the guard spotted her.
"Hey there!" He cried and motioned toward a few of the other guards as he drew his sword and began to make his way toward them.
"Oh great," Idrial whispered, "just my luck." She looked around desperately for something more to hide behind...but there was nothing. She bit her lip, tapping her foot against the ground as her mind whirled. Then, suddenly, Idrial reached out and pulled the elf toward her into a kiss. And for a brief time, her plan worked. The guard ran passed, but then realized he'd been fooled and came back just as quickly.
When he returned, he grabbed Idrial by the arm and jerked her toward him. "Let me go!" She cried, kicking at him. "I did nothing!" She glanced toward the two strangers pleadingly.

The Leviathan arrived near the port, and anchored a few hundred yards off, Curtuss then waited for a ship to leave.

Marcus climbed the ships main mast to the crow's nest and peered towards the docked ships through a looking glass. He grinned and yelled down to the captain. "Aye, cap'n. They be loadin a ship now, looks to be ready to heave off soon." He then continued peering through the looking glass to see what he could.

"Aye, cap'n" He yelled back. Through the looking glass he watched the dock as one of the ship's guard grabbed a lady by the arm. He watched with intrest, wondering just how many guards they might have to kill to take the ship. He shruged and began drinking some rum as he kept watch.

"Well, this is getting interesting," Ashuron said, watching Idrial being grabbed by the guards. "Even though I may be only a simple mercenary, a sense of justice does run through my blood. Tell me, what has this woman done to deserve being chased down by guards such as yourselves?"
