When he noticed Aragorn finish his dance Garland took a sip of his drink and looked at Nelle, "Come along, we must go congradulate the new queen and say hello to the king of Gondor." He offered her his arm as was courteous and walked to where Aragorn, Arwen and Arien were standing. He bowed to Arwen and Aragorn and then to Arien, congratulating her on new possition. When done with the formalities he introduced Nelle. "Aragorn, Arwen, Arien, meet Nellethiel."

Arwen smiled at Lady Nellethiel. "Nice to meet you." She looked at Lord Garland. "And good to see you again, my Lord."

((They are married, what made you think they wern't ??))
Garland returned the nod of Aragorn. "Yes, always a pleasure, Aragorn. Especially on such occasions as this. How goes things in Gondor, my friend. Word reached my ears recently of quite a showdown between yourself and Lord Dinadael of Angmar."
((Since this Ball has no apparent timeline, can we just say its after that whole ordeal?))

{That's cool, bilge rat, and we are married, Nelly, LOL...}
Aragorn smiled and nodded, leaning against a pillar in a leisurely sort of way as he spoke with Garland about war and battle. Arwen shook her head and turned to speak with Nellethiel.
"He had sent a false messenger to inform me of an attack upon my ally, and in the while came upon Minas Tirith with his full host. I rode home swiftly when things seemed amiss, and broke upon the rear of his hordes with only Saeros of Enedwaith as my second, and we dealt them such a blow that he came down himself and challenged me. A long fight and a hard it was, with blood given and taken, but in the end his overconfidence was his weakness, and I ran him through the neck with his own blade."

Still holding Aragorns hand, Arwen turned to Nellethiel. She throw a loving glance over her shoulder to her husband and focused than her attention to the young Lady. "You are befriend with Lord Garland, I see," she said with a smile.
*LOL to Nelle.*

Garland rose a brow as Aragorn spoke of the man from Enedwaith. "You speak of an ally from Enedwaith? Who is this man? I the last news to reach me in Moria was that Enedwaith was your enemy. Infact, after I learned of Vaire's treachery I mobilized my forces to attack Enedwaith, for it was her Queen that first introduced me to that snake of a woman." Garland took another sip of his wine. "But now, occasions such as this are not meant for talk of war. You should visit me in Moria sometime my lord, it is not often enough that I entertain friends there."

"The fellow from Enedwaith was the Ruler of that Realm, and honorable Elf by the name of Saeros, who had sworn allegiance to Gondor until Enedwaith was besieged. But, as thou sayest," he said with a half-grin, "this is not the place for politicking. A visit to Moria might do wonders for my health, the cool air underground. I may have to pay thy realm a visit ere long," he added, observing Garland from the corner of his eye.

Garland grinned, "Indeed, we have much catching up to do. You should bring this fellow... Simon was it?... I would like to meet him." Garland looked around the room, noting the abscense of so many of the rulers that had recently attended the ball in Mirkwood and remarked to Aragorn. "It should seem with the defeat of the witch of Angmar Middle Earth would have much to celebrate. Why I wonder are there so few attending this gathering." He glanced around the room again, "Not even your own cousin, Doren, has come. I would have thought him to be especially joyous these days. Have you heard from him as of late?"

"Nay, I have not," said Aragorn as he pulled a pipe from seemingly nowhere and puffed away at it, "though I would agree with thee that Middle-earth should be in somewhat of a more jolly mood. And with Dindaedel no longer a threat, things should be even happier." He sent an ornate smoke-ring into the air. "I suppose there may still be more amiss in the world than a humble Ranger might realize. But let us turn to other matters, such talk of intrigue is beyond a simple soldier such as me - how are the folk in Moria of late? Jolly, are they?" he asked, turning an innocent eye upon Garland and regaling him with smoke.
