Yeah...OZZFEST! XD I'm going this year and the lineup was announced last night. So, basically I'm reposting it for your viewing pleasure to see what you guys think of it. Use this thread to discuss the bands and/or Ozzfest experiences!

My personal opinion on the lineup...

I love it. The main stage is great, I mean I'm not a huge SOAD fan but they're decent. I love Disturbed (I've liked em since the Queen of the Damned soundtrack, so, no, I didn't hear them on the radio and go "ZOMG OMG OMG I HAVE TO LISTEN TO THEM!!!!111!!ONEONEONE!")

Hatebreed isn't the worst, they're one of the few hardcore bands I can stand. (Hardcore Punk = Pussy Music, IMO) Lacuna Coil, asides from Ozzy, is my main stage highlight. I had the chance to see them in April with Rob Zombie, but I missed out cause the show sold out before mom would let me buy the tickets, and I love these guys.

Second stage...well...I love Black Label Society, so them headlining is always good. The second stage is just a mass of hardcore pansy asses. There's a handful that I like, though, to name Unearth, Walls of Jericho, the Red Chord, A Life Once Lost, All That Remains, and Full Blown Chaos. Strapping Young Lad is metal, not hardcore, but I don't look forward to them namely because their frontman is Devin Townsend, who I've seen previously in the Devin Townsend Band. And that band bored me. Everything sounded the same...

Hope to see some of you guys there!! I'm going to look into seeing if you can bring a camera...If so, I'll have pictures for you guys sometime in August!

Sadly, Lancir, :-( Those are not rumors, my friend, but truth. Last year was his last headlining the whole thing with Black Sabbath, he's getting old now. This year will be his last year at Ozzfest, and he's only headlining half the dates. Next year he passes the reins on to someone else. But, mind you, this is Ozzfest that he stops headlining. Both Sabbath and his solo gig are coming out with new albums this year or the next, so we will see him headlining tours again. Good, because I want to see Black Sabbath before I die.

*reaches through the internet and smacks Tony* I SO want to go, dood! To see SOAD on main stage would just about be my dream come true. Hmmm, I need to go look and see if they have any tours over here any time soon. Prolly not, with my luck. I hope it's a good time, Tony - and remember, once I get back to the states, we're going to see SOAD together some time!

I doubt they'll have any dates any time soon considering Ozzfest this summer lmfao, as stated just moments ago. I promise Aaron, when you get back to the states me and you will go see SOAD.

Oh, and I found out that you can bring in disposable cameras. So I'll buy one and have dad bring one so I have double lol, and as a gift to you Aaron I'll make you a SOAD at Ozzfest banner. If I get close enough, obviously. I should be getting pavillion seats so its all good.

Gah. I wish I could go, the main stage sounds good. I hope it's Godsmack *g* or Avenged Sevenfold for mystery band... My friend'll probably be there, she's a true metalhead and loves all these bands.

And then someone else I know was right around it last year, I think she said.... Fitchburg sound right? I don't really know anything about Ozzfest, I'd not know.

I wouldn't mind Godsmack, but I'm already going to see Avenged Sevenfold with a friend in April. Personally I hope for Manson, Tool, or Type O Negative.

Might be able to is the key, Lancir, lol. How much money will you guys have together? Cause, like, pavillion seats are like 80-90 bucks each. Tour merch can be another 30-40 each, and depending on how you guys are getting there and what your situation is, it could be another couple hundred for a motel room and gas. I'm lucky enough to have my dad driving me there and back without staying overnight. And only select dates have Ozzy, don't know whether that matters to you guys or not.

The getting back and forth problem is a problem i live in mass not to far from boston so i probally just go and come back and tickets I have no idea we probally could pool alot of money and im not too big on concert merch.

The show's in Mansfield at the Tweeter Center, not in Boston. But, yeah, same difference. You'd be going there, dude thats motherfucking awesome cause that's the show I'm going to, and Ozzy's playing! *dances*
