A luxurious elven bungalow, filled with fine furniture and ornate decorations. This is the Capitol of Mithlond where those who seek Lord Garland may present themselves.

A messanger entered the halls and bowed to Lord Garland and handed him a letter from Mirkwood.
Dear Lord Garland,
The Lady of Mirkwood has invited you and any of your subjects who you wish to bring to a masquerade ball in Mirkwood. All realms are invited but at the time of the ball there shall be no good or evil, merely a party with gatherers. Come to talk, joke, and have fun and maybe fix any loosened ties withing realms. We hope to see you and those you bring. Please reply to as soon as possible.
Sincerly, Siranna of Mirkwood.

Ashuron rode up to the palace after his meeting with Ilmare in Rivendell and dismounted his horse, leaving it outside as he went in. A servant went in to announce his arrival to Lord Garland.

Garland nodded to the servant and waved his hand, "Well, by all means, let him in..." The servant returned to the door and opened it, bowing as he spread his arm out, gesturing for Ashuron to enter. "M'lord awaits you, Lord Ashuron."

Ashuron entered and bowed. "Greeting, Lord Garland of Mithlond and Moria," he said and then added, "But that is what I'm here to express my concern about. Tell me, why is it that a man from a dwarf realm rules over elvish lands?" Ashuron hoped that he was not seeming too rude, but in this situation he thought it was best to be direct to the point.

Garland returned Ashuron's bow. "My my, Lord Ashuron. Do I sense a little annimosity? Perhaps you would be contented to have the son of Morgoth here ruling this land, for that was the alternative. And as it would be, after the battle with Murazor over this place, rule was bestowed upon be by Fingon, whom was eager it seems to depart."

"The son of Morgoth would not be an ideal leader for elves either. Indeed, only elves can lead elves. Therefore do I give out this threat, if you take it as that. Should the elves of Mithlond come to any harm under your rule, my wrath will be terrible for you and anyone who stands between you and I." Ashuron laughed inside himself, for this conversation was going much different than the one he had recently had with Ilmare.

Garland smiled. "Very well, Lord Ashuron, your concerns have been heard. And I must say, though it is always a pleasure to be threatened in my own halls, I think it best if you scurry on back to your tree house in Lothlorien, my dear friend. But I do thank you for the lovely visit, and am glad to hear that you also have to best intrests of my people at mind."

Ashuron bowed again. "It's always a pleasure to threaten others in their own halls," he said and quickly left.

A servant came into the throne room and informed Garland that Decimus had come. He nodded and the servant led Decimus into the throne chamber. Garland stood up and shook the man's hand. "Cousin Decimus, its been a long time."

Garland thought for moment. "If you think you can handle the responsiblity, then I have quite the job for you indeed. I will bestow you with the rulership of Ered Luin, cousin. In return I expect to enjoy your allegience to me though. If this is a task you wish to take, say the word and I will write an order and send you on your way."
